      @@eyeofhorus1301 Return, Serve almost as efficient as Feds. Fed has a better forehand, but not by a lot. Backhand better than Fed, pretty much every type, more consistent, more powerful, better shot tolerance. Djokovic improved his volleys, not quite as good as Fed, but much better than before. Besides these groundstrokes, moves better than Fed. More mentally clutch than Fed. Adapts better to different styles and surfaces than Fed. And has broken pretty much every single record Fed had, some even by a significant margin. The only thing Fed has on him is he looks more stylish on the court. Is not a better player than Djokovic on clay, is not a better player than Djokovic on hc. Not even better on the grass in my opinion, although i will not disregard how good of a career Fed had on the grass just because Djokovic smacked him h2h. These two players are not comparable bud, in anything. One is simply obsolete in comparison to the other. Its like comparing Fed and Sampras. Can you really say Sampras was better than Fed. Yes, Sampras had his strengths, and for me is the best player on grass still. But, overall, Fed is way more accomplished. Now, if you like the way Fed is playing, that is another matter. That is a matter of personal preference. But records in tennis dont lie, at least not until last year, when its showed that even stats can be manipulated to trick the average joe into thinking in a particular way. So, suit yourself. Think whatever you like. But facts are showing a different story.

      It really depends how you look at it. His forehand has never looked better and his serve is top-notch, it seems that he is just adjusting his game to his age. Back in the day he knew that he can out grind his opponents, now he is attacking more and hitting the ball harder than ever (I guess that's why he added some muscle mass to his body). Really intelligent player who knows what he is doing. Physically he is not in his prime, his forehand and serve are in the prime, he always had the best backhand ever and it seems that his net play was better than ever. Most people like Cam Norrie (his backhand) who hit on the rise modify their swing slightly to decrease margin of error. Novak is hasn't changed his swing speed and is flattening the ball out, which is producing the extra power. It should produce more errors, but he's Novak.

    you can see from highlights how Big 3 were super successful, they open the court really well and create chances, it definitely comes with confidence and experience.. Alex De Minaur though improved, but in order to beat Novak, you have to open the court and make him move side to side, take chances and come to the net. He can do baseline rallying all day. Currently, Rune and Alcaraz are not afraid to take chances, that's why they were able to beat him.

    • @jeffvanderwerf3391
      @jeffvanderwerf3391 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      De Minaur simply doesn't have the firepower to compete with Novak when the latter is playing near his top level. You need to hit 75% of huge first serves or be Rafa on clay to really have a chance. Djokovic at this level is nearly impossible to beat on this surface (most surfaces, really). If Tsitsipas is at his absolute best and Djoko's form wavers slightly, Stef might be able to take it to five sets. The other guys would have to play the match of their lives to take two sets (nonetheless win outright), which is possible but pretty unlikely.

    Honestly, with the Federer/Nadal/Djokovic era, the standard of play has gone surpassed several levels here. I believe J.McEnroe, Borg, Lendl, Connors, even Pete would have a hard time winning a set against these guys in their primes. I know Federer is retired, and really hasn't been at this level for a couple of years now, but the three of them are really a standard that this sport is still pushing the new guys down with. Djokovic just demolished Alex!!! That was brutal! What makes him so good is his technique. In every shot, he hits the ball perfectly, so he's always confident on his shots. Alex just didn't believe in himself to go for the lines, so Djokovic was always in control. Clinical win for Nole.

      The problem for DeMinaur is that when he is not on the run he cannot generate heavy spun shot to stay in rallies. His game is all about redirecting pace. Novak made sure to just tie him up behind the baseline and not allow him to hit any shot while on the move.

I think Rublev simply isn't consistent enough over the course of a match to win, though he perhaps could take a set if he has a purple patch. But realistically the chances of anyone beating him while he's playing like this are somewhere very close to zero.
