- I thought I was never going to get this Five Nights at Freddy's video out to you guys. Completely spaced on it being a holiday and all. Anyway, if there's one thing that most of us can agree on about this movie, it's that the aunt is the real villain.

We don't have Chuck-e-Cheese or any other franschise with animatronic bands in them here in Sweden, at least not what I know of, so I'm kinda inrigued by this whole bizarre deal about it. It's a bit of a dream to visit one of these places, preferably at some not so well taken care of joint where pieces are missing from the animatronics and they're barely functional! Guess I've seen too many Simpsons spoofs of places like that. 😀

I remember now, as part of the christmas decoration in my old home town they had animatronic elfs (elvea?) In a ..... gazeebo?.... kazeebo??.... in town. They scared the heebie-jeebies out of me!!! So maybe I won't..... 🤣

I decided to watch it as I had nothing else to really watch... as simply a casual know by ear and sight individual on the fandom and such? I was intrigued by the take of the characters and the lore behind FNAF. Disturbing to say the least... But as a creative soul myself? I could see how it has become a massively popular fandom.
I first heard about it when I was working weekend overnight shifts at my local aged care facility. Worked as an AIN. (Some of my co workers were really into the games and such.) The funny thing is? Whenever I was on the floor? No one would be able to hear me coming. (I was naturally very stealthy and barely made any noise as my goal was to perform safety checks on the residents within my area with little disruption to their slumbers as possible.) So when it came to pad and medication rounds? (which is usually a 2 - 3 person assist?) I would end up scaring the absolute shit out of said co workers when they went to look for me! :D It got so frequent...? The supervising RN would either ring/page me so that the rest of the team could pin point my location.... (which got annoying so I disabled it after a while because I felt like I was being targeted unfairly.) alongside checking the security cameras to keep tabs on where I was so that the team could await for me to come to them etc. 🤣My closest co worker begged me to teach them all my "ways." meanwhile? I begged them to not be so jumpy as I wasn't going to do a single thing to them unless they proceeded to get nasty with me.
🤣 Got the nickname "Chica." (As I used sugary food to stay awake. You name it. Chocolate, biscuits .. and yes... cake... to keep my blood sugar up so I could remain functional.) They used to make fun of said fact until we actually did have a break in one night. (A drug seeking moron... which is a known risk as we do have meds on site.) They just happened to cross to the radius of my area... and with some quick thinking? Such a risk was promptly put down. (Jumped off the nurse’s station desk onto their back, placed the blood pressure cuff around their neck, inflated it halfway to induce unconsciousness then dragged them to the front entrance where the police came to collect them.) :D It was scary.. but very thrilling. Glucose and adrenaline folks... Better than any drug you could do! :D
Needless to say? My team were very very grateful when I was on duty as they knew that I would always have their backs. They kept up the FNAF trope by bringing sweets as thanks for being such a great co worker! Aaaah! Good times!! xD.
Here in Australia? We have more mascots than actual animatronics... But I recall a place I used to go all the time... that was essentially a huge play pen like place with ball pits, slides, swings, climbing frames and heaps more. It was named "Scallywags." and it's main animal mascot was a Rainbow Lorikeet names Looter. Come to think of it...? Foxy would have fit in extremely well at Scallywags! 🤣😁.
Yeah, it’s a hard pass for the girls. I agree with you, somethings in this movie just didn’t make sense.

In the end the North American, British, Australian and Chilean press even criticized the film for being generic and one of the worst adaptations of video game to film in history. It is even a total failure. It would also reach Apple TV iTunes only digitally in some countries

Everyone I know who has played the game really liked it.
Even my mom really liked it and she isn't even into FNAF
Update the movie has now made 299 million dollars in the box office and is going to make 300 million by the time it's out of the theaters, making it the highest grossing horror movie of 2023
It’s the highest-grossing Blumhouse film of all time, and has an 87% audience score on RT. Pretty far from a failure.
