  • Newly released bodycam video shows police officers at the house where University of Idaho students were murdered. The incident happened over Labor Day weekend, seven weeks before the brutal murders. Xana Kernodle answered the door as cops visited the house for a second time that night over a noise complaint. The new video comes as Idaho police issue a strongly worded appeal asking the public for additional pictures, video, and social media content to help solve the murders.

I agree I think it was a disgruntled neighbour probably an older man in his 50s or 60s could’ve been ex military and killed them because of the partying and loud noise which wouldn’t surprise me. People can lash out very easily with situations like that. I do believe this was a targeted attack by a person who lives within the area or neighbourhood or possibly a couple of hours away. They need to search every house and area within the vicinity of the crime scene.

I had a new neighbor once that moved in, he was a tweaker and he would do woodwork right next to my bedroom window at all hours of the night, I had to deal with it for over a year, documented all of it. And yes it was driving me insane. I had made multiple complaints to management and nothing was ever done, I'm surprised I didn't lose my screws in my head. Not just sleep deprivation but just the constant noise is like Chinese torture so yes that is definitely a motive. Especially if it's someone with sensory issues. Thankfully that neighbor ended up getting arrested for sellin drugs and no longer is my neighbor. What ended up pulling me through was getting a really good Bluetooth speaker and blasting waterfall sounds to drown out his wood wacking racket. Hertz music also helps to.

THIS is the reason I like living on the busiest street in the downtown section of a major European city. You're less likely to notice any individual neighbour making noise because it all just blends together. But here in Germany the cops would not have given them that many chances. Two noise complaints in one night would have been enough for an arrest. I know this because my own renter was charged with a noise violation for his dogs barking while he was at work, and he got charged with not just the noise complaint but cruelty to animals, had the dogs confiscated, and was banned from owning any dog within city limits.

Do y’all really think being annoyed by noisy neighbors is a motive for murder? We all get irritated with our neighbors. Very few of us kill them. And obv these neighbors didn’t want to take matters into their own hands, hence not hesitating to call police twice in one night.

Many people have had to endure a restless elder with memory loss or an unsettled infant at some time but the late night noisy party thing would be intolerable to anyone.

Could you imagine being already sleep deprived because of an infant just to have loud neighbors ruin any chance you had at 15 minutes of peace at midnight? Oof. Don’t know that it would drive most to murder, but it’s certainly not a good thing.

Unless you have lived alongside this kind of noise pollution, you can't comprehend the red-rage level of unhinged anger that months of sleep deprivation will send you to. Did they deserve it? No, of course not. Did their actions send someone to a level of violent insanity beyond most peoples imagination? Probably.
