For me also its zero. Please explain how to add literatures 1st to RevMan. Without adding its not possible to get acess to those papers. So its showing nothing.
Mate, I just want to say thank you for this. I have been terrified of stats all my life and in 12 minutes I've just performed my first MA (and sub-group analyses with the help of one of your other vids). Thank you so much. You're a total legend.
That was very helpful. Until I watched this I did not understand most of what these statistics meant, nor Revman. Thanks to you, you made that a lot easier. Thank you.
WOW! just wow! Thank you for teaching me this. So basically, none of those fancy graphs that i was scared off was not done by the authors. interesting.
Thank you! Q: which data do you input fot the meta-analysis when each study has a before and after treatment mean and std. dev. for both the control and intervention groups?
Thank you for uploading a useful video. Suppose in the study there is a measurement of median and range instead of mean and SD, then How can we draw foster plot or which type of data we can use ?
At around minute 11:00, is there a way to set the scale intervals? For instance, the x-axis of my meta-analysis in revman shows numbers like "0.5 - 0.7 - 1 - 1.5 - 2". If I change the scaling, the numbers change but the intervals don't have the same size. I want the numbers to have the same distance to each other, like "0.5 - 0.75 - 1 - 1.25 - 1.5" and so on. Is that possible? Thank you very much.
Hello, thank you for the great video! i have a question..do I put the pre-values of Intervention and control? or the post-values? or the mean difference? thank you in advance!
Sir, I have a question. I have follow each step accordingly but when I reached the include study step. I have selected them all and finish it but the table shows zero in all columns and rows. No value in any column. Kindly help me out.
Hi, i am confusing about the mean value and SD value that you add into the blanks at 9'24''. Normally, there are severl mean value and SD in a paper, so, which one should be considered and keyed into the blanks in RevMan when do a comparison. Thankyou.
Hi. Thanks for the great videos. I just wonder how do I enter my pre-post means and standart deviations for experimental and control groups. In your example as far as I understood you have post data for 2 groups. I have both pre test and post test results (Means SDs and number of participants for both experimental and control groups). Thanks in advance
That is the best video for someone like me, who has never done MA or worked with a Revman. I am stuck at the beginning. In the studies, shall I enter all relevant clinical trials about the drug I am study, or shall I enter the publications raised from these clinical trials?
Thank you so much for the explanation! I'm starting to analyze the results of my first SR and I can say I did not know a thing about meta-analysis. What do you do when some studies give you the mean and others give you the median and range?
Great work explaining this! If you're analyzing an outcome measure from each study that was collected at two time points (I.e baseline vs. 6 weeks post baseline), which mean value (I.e. baseline? Post 6 weeks? Mean difference?) is entered for each group (I.e. intervention and control) when entering data?
Thanks for the explanation! which data type should I use when comparing the prevelance of a complication between a 'severe' and a 'less severe' group of patients with the same disease? also continues?
great video, but i have a couple of questions, how do i include multiple arms of a single study in rev man? and how do i save ma? every time i try to save it i save empty document :(
Thank you very much for this video. I'm wondering about how to use RevMan to do risk of bias assessments... Also, is it possible to use RevMan to assess risk of bias for Exposure-type studies, and not Intervention-type studies...? I would appreciate the feedback...
Hi! Do you have a video about including multiple groups studies in RevMan? I have for example a study that has 3 intervention groups (slightly different interventions) compared with a control group. How do I get the data organised? Thanks!
Hi Adela, You could create different subgroups for each intervention or separate meta-analyses altogether for each intervention. e.g. Subgroup 1 = Control vs Intervention 1 Subgroup 2 = Control vs Intervention 2 Subgroup 3 = Control vs Intervention 3 I have a tutorial on performing subgroup analyses in RevMan that may be useful: toptipbio.com/subgroup-analysis-revman/ I hope that helps, Steven
@@StevenBradburn thanks for the quick reply! I would rather combine the intervention groups and compare the mean obtained with the control group if possible. I'll have a look on what the link you've provided. Many thanks ☺
Hi! This was helpful for my cross over studies, but what format/ how do we enter data and make a forest plot if its prospective cohort? I have two groups and a before and after from each group. There is no RR so we would have to use mean. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Hi Heather, Many thanks for your comment. What data do you have? If you have counts, ie events/non-events in control/treated groups, then you can get RevMan to calculate the RR and OR etc in the Calculator. Best wishes, Steven
Thank you so much for uploading this! really helpful for understanding revman. When I try to use revman, I only have the option for making a "practice review" does anyone know why this keeps happening/does it mean it won't save my data?

I totally relate to that.
I wanna ask that can we do meta analysis as a thesis work for my post graduate research?
That was very helpful. Until I watched this I did not understand most of what these statistics meant, nor Revman. Thanks to you, you made that a lot easier. Thank you.

But hey let's keep it a secret now?
13 minutes of pure gold, thanks so much
Thank you so much, this was insanely helpful and so concise - I learnt more in these 12 minutes than in months!
YOU ARE A LIFESAVER
Thank you so much for your excellent explanation. You explained in a simple manner and helped me to do the meta-analysis. So grateful for your help!
Fantastic tutorial mate. Thx from Pakistan ❤
you literally save my meta analysis! not gonna lie, but thank you so much!
Very welcome!
Doing my first SR at the moment. This video has been amazingly helpful, thank you so much from a stressed postgrad student ❤️🥰❤️🥰
Thanks Cian. Good luck with it!
Thanks for bringing out this great tutorial. It's very helpful for first time rev man users like myself.

hello, great video! Just wanted to know, as revman allows to add studies directly, do we not need to organise data in excel after systematic review?
I need that answer to. Brilliant

I have one question.. how did you save the studies or the references in your computer? Please make a video about that ..
Marvellous

Could you please highlight If there is a way to measure AUC and cut offs using Revman?
