Yk, what would be an interesting survivor topic to talk about. The fallen comrades walk. You should do a video highlighting moments from that time or do a top 5 on that topic because it’s one of those moments that was really special to the old era of survivor.
I wish they’d find a way to streamline that segment for modern seasons.
lol Jeff hated this segment (said so in the survivor podcast) and I always fast forwarded this part. regardless, Jeff said no desire for it to ever come back
It’s really only interesting if any of the finalists ever actually met the “fallen comrades” in question
We have plenty of seasons where the final 2/3 was all from the same starting tribe and thus never even met these people, Mary being a notable example

Honestly I am fine with this being gone. The only time I ever even was remotely entertained by it was Russell roasting everyone on his walk to defeat. When I rewatch old seasons I skip thIs part with no hesitation. It is genuinely one of the only old school things Survivor got rid of that I didn’t mind.
Parv, Amanda, and Cirie exclaiming they didn’t know Mary is also funny but that is only because of the “who is Mary” meme
Your read on Jem was terrifyingly accurate to the last atom it’s impressive because she’s not a visible player or a gimmicky one so bravo man like fr 👏
This season in particular really makes me wish they did the old reunions or at least brought the pre merge players back for the aftershow. Like Bhanu and Jelinksy were such iconic characters and the fact that only Tiff, Kenzie, and Q got to actually know them sucks.

I think a cool video idea would be survivor players that were “dead in the water”. Like a player made a move that made other players so mad they were unwilling to work with them and it destroyed their game. An Example would be Mike from season 30 when he didn’t buy the letter from home right away and everybody hated him for it and didn’t trust him. I know he went on to win any way but just an example.

Kenzie restored my faith in going with my first picks! Sure it’s the first time I called a winner but I’ve always been so close!
I haven’t really done first round picks in a while, but I did successfully call Ben and Nick from HHH and DvG, and came really close with Dominic from GI and David from MvGX

this is my exact thought every time i watch these lmao. and to hear what they say about me on the on fire podcast
Bhanu is either this really tragic narrator who was in over his head and never could really get his foot in the game or he was a mess that certain people think represents everything wrong with modern Survivor
just realizing how many polarizing characters this season had -- in addition to bhanu (who was probably the single most polarizing character in a hot minute) we also had venus, liz, q, maria (post final tribal voting anyways), soda, tevin ,,,,

I think your Bhanu prediction was spot on actually. I know a lot of people I watched the season with that were crushed when he left the game. Sure the online survivor community seem to find him annoying and embarrassing, but I think he won a few more hearts than we’re giving him credit for.
He was definitely an interesting character. With that said, I was so happy when he finally got voted out. If he were on my tribe I think I would have lost my mind 😂

I think your read on me was incredibly accurate, the edit just showed me looking very unaware and delusional. GREAT tv, but not wholly accurate. I cried a lot at the end, because I knew I needed to get to the end to state my case…or else I look like the fool. We all saw how that went. Playing the fool is a risky move that didn’t play out for me. Sad the audience didn’t get to see.
Bhanu was not heartbreaking. He was 100% cringe
yeah by the time he actually got voted out, i had lost any sympathy i had for him. i really grew to dislike him.
I’ve seen some people take issue with how Q, Tiff, and Kenzie dealt with him, saying that they were too harsh.
Like I was beyond over the man after being exposed to him for only an hour a week from the comfort of my own couch, while being well fed and rested. I can’t even begin to imagine how those three were coping being on that island with him, day in and day out, while constantly losing, barely sleeping, starving, and having the added stress of trying to win a million dollars.
@@jennatodd4664Q ultimately made the smarter decision going with Tiff and Kenzie over Jess and Bhanu (even if he saw them as the Phillip and Natalie to his Boston Rob), because desperately trying to carry them to the end would’ve been impossible with Jess’ lack of sleep and Bhanu’s constant meltdowns
I haven’t wanted a player to be voted out more from recent seasons than him
Q was my favorite just for how funny he was to watch. Going from hating quitters to almost quitting to almost making the finale is wild

Apparently Randen was the person who convinced Tevin to flip on Soda, so I’m pretty sure if he stayed in the game he would actually be positioned pretty nicely with Soda and Venus being targets over him
A fun topic might be "copycat alliances" as seen in this season with Charlie/Maria & Malcom/Denise. How theyre similar and where thr trope falls short?

side note: I believe Hunter was also reddit's favorite, quite a few people on there hated Q but I rarely found a negative comment about Hunter, oh and I also believe Venus was facebook's most hated

No I think Q was the favourite. So so so many memes.
It was definitely either Q or Jelinsky. Hunter was the favourite of the edgic side of reddit for like 6 episodes before everyone switched to Kenzie.

I think Randen actually WOULD have gone home first, the core of Nami was basically Soda, Tevin, and Hunter with Liz as an auxiliary non threatening addition
Tevin’s secret alliance with Venus would have very likely been enough to protect her over Randen who was also labeled as an outsider by Hunter, so really he only makes the merge if Nami wins their way to the merge which they luckily did
I think Randen would have been the third person on that tribe to go home as we know from post game that Tevin would have turned on soda and voted her out if they went to tribal. And then Venus would also go put before him as we also know that tevin and randen were actually pretty close on the island.

Randen did a good job of turning tevin against soda though
@@nizzle428 depends on when they actually go to tribal, if it’s the early days Venus or Randen is gonna go out for being shady
Soda only really got targeted since she’d be a huge threat if she made the merge, roughly after Jess was voted out

Jess was done so dirty by her tribe. I'd like to see her get another chance.
My prediction of winners was Maria and Tiffany. Happy with it cause I was choosing one from purple and chose tiff thinking she was better positioned and chose one from Maria and Charlie duo

Nah Liz deserves a full point. She was very well liked and would've been in the final 3 Nami if they ended up the disaster tribe.
And according to her, she would have beat all y’all.

Charlie, like Spencer, trusted a mom who didn't subscribe to the mom role yet Maria called him "uncle charlile" (kid got played)
also instead of Malcolm and Denise why not Cochran and Dawn hmmm tbh even Tina and Colby
I felt you were kind of off the mark with Hunter. His social game wasn’t very good. He seemed comfortable and didn’t try to connect with anyone other than Q. And strategically, he didn’t seem to offer much at all. I thought he was a lesser player than he thinks.

When does this start
Bhau for me was somewhere between heartbreaking and annoying. His story tugged on my heartstrings. But he was ~terrible~ at playing the game of Survivor. I would’ve been terribly annoyed with him if he was in my alliance/tribe. By the time he was voted out I was like FINALLY.
Kenzie was my pick from the start and I’m glad I was able to get one right in the new era.
What a wild and great season. But Bhanu was the worst, and really dragged down the first few episodes. So glad he went early.

Jess was more like Gillian (Gabon) and Wendy Jo (Nicaragua).
I don’t think Jess was really THAT bad physically, she just really stands out in her tribe with Kenzie as being the 2 weak women of the tribe
And with the New Era meta, physically strength is very often a ticket to the merge

Poor Charlie was so devastated he didn't win for the reunion segment. It was completely written all over his face. The fact that Q and Maria said they voted for Kenzie over Charlie because of her story and what she was going to use the money for pretty much ruined the entire season for me. Players need to vote based off of game play and nothing else. Voting for someone based on their outside life/story will completely ruin the game of Survivor imo.
Well Jeff says to the jury "vote for the person YOU think deserves to win" not "vote who played the best game"

People often forget that Survivor is so much more than just a strategy game. Its much more faceted than that. You could play the best game in the world but none of that matters unless you know how to handle your jury with social relationships. Its been a thing since the first season of Survivor and as long as humans have emotions, its most likely never leaving.

everyone hated ben online from what I saw and we saw, and in hindsight you calling him sincere his hilarious given how quickly we saw his act fall apart especially with Q
