I just started watching Survivor a year ago. I had really hoped for Skupin to come back and then when I found out he would I was really excited. Then I found out what I found out and I don't know how I'm going to be able to watch that season now. I watched them all with my parents and I don't know if I should tell them.
For All Stars, I probably would’ve also said Shi Ann’s ‘Stupid people’ speech after she crushed the immunity challenge is up there. It kept the underdog alive one more round and she wasn’t gonna keep it quiet. Always brings a smile to my face
Or I'd put Boston Rob absolutely running the show and planting Colby in the balance beam challenge, like he piledrove him so incredibly hard it was epic
She's absolutely correct. Jenna, Rupert and Big Tom are big idiots to fight for a 3rd place. It never occur to them to break up the unbreakable alliance of Romber.
Ha! That was great! I was rolling my eyes so hard at the other players getting so mAaAd at Shii for gloating, like she didn't deserve to! Like, for crying out loud! She was the obvious target! She won against Rupert! And she shouldn't gloat?! What are they going to do, vote her out harder? I also really liked how Shii Ann was easily the calmest one at the final trial. She was the only one besides maybe Jenna who didn't have a big ol' bone to pick with Romber. I knew I wasn't a cuckoo for gravitating toward her so much in Thailand. Mario of the Funny 115 said that some of the season 1 and 2 players, especially the winners, were the only ones who took their losses very gracefully, but he definitely forgot about Shii Ann.
For me it was the, and I paraphrase this so no exact verbatim; "giving the asian girl rice" thing. That was brutal and strategic. I relate to her type of gameplay so much.
I think Neleh offering her tribe mates the mint from her mouth is iconic if it's paired with her "I didn't start playing the game until day 22" final 2 speech. She was our first sweet heart turned semi-villain and a pioneer of the game, among many others, for their flip on the Rotu 4. That was a first.

Allegedly. She was supposed to be back for All Stars. Unsure if she was considered for Micronesia or other returnee casts.

Source being oldschool message boards and confidantes who posted information on the boards. My guess is they would have wanted to measure the scope of the casting pool and returning players.
My pick for Africa is Ethan playing hacky sack in the village. It was a moment that solidified him as a lovable figure to America, so much so that my mom still remembers it, and she hasn’t watched it since it was coming out live, as she watched back when Survivor was still huge but stopped watching sometime around Vanuatu (she doesn’t remember the season that she stopped, but she remembers loving Rupert and that he won $1 million, so it’s safe to say she saw All Stars)
I would say the same for Africa, it's the moment I remember most from watching that season as a kid. It's definitely helped by knowing what comes after with Ethan founding grassroots soccer and continuing to be an inspiring guy after the season.
Africa is one of my favorites (and coincidentally the first one I watched "live" from start to finish). It had a LOT more moments of "interact with the real people of the place we're visiting" than other seasons, and I really liked that. From the visit to the village, the balloon ride, and the visit to the hospital, they spent much more time "giving back" to their hosts, which I really enjoyed seeing. Also having Charles the Massai visit camp and one of the better Rites of Passage episodes, it really did a great job of bringing home the point : "We are in Africa!" compared to, say, Gabon.
Maybe he is not the biggest Kat fan. but i stopped watching the season when it was airing by that point because it was so boring but that moment was on the tv when i came home and its pretty fun.

Africa's most iconic moment is Ethan playing hackysac with those kids during the reward. It's the moment that both highlighted his very heroic win, as well as the inspiration of his entire career post Survivor.
For Nicaragua I’d probabaly say the moment right after Naonka told Jeff at eh the reward challenge and Jeff says rhetorically “Would anyone else like to quit?” …..Only to be met with Purple Kelly answering him seriously
I think Noelle winning the reward challenge in Survivor 43 has to be more memorable. Winning that challenge when she was so far behind and also being so hard made it very heart felt. I brought tears to my eyes.

In regards to Erik giving up immunity in Micronesia: While I agree that it is the most iconic moment of the season, it is NOT the dumbest move in the show's history. I don't even think it's in the top 3 dumbest moves of that season. Personally, I think that Jason falling for Ozzy's fake idol, Jason dropping immunity at F9, and Jason buying Natalie's story after coming back from Exile and not playing his idol at F8 are all dumber. Yeah, top 3 dumbest moments of Micronesia are all Jason Siska moments. EDIT: I have realized that while Jason falling for Ozzy's fake idol is still very stupid, it doesn't count as a move. I would therefore say Erik giving up immunity would indeed just barely make my top 3 dumbest moves of the season.
@@tmm4195 I disagree. The difference between the two of them is that, when it comes to Erik's stupid decision to give up immunity, you can see *some* logic if you squint hard enough. It's bad logic, but it's logic. You can see what he's thinking, even if it's wrong. But with Jason, none of his stupid decisions make any sense, even if you analyze them. And I subscribe to the idea that "no thinking is dumber than bad thinking".

"Who voted for me???" "DRAAAAAAAAAAKE" plus a bunch of recurring things that have an arc throughout the season like Lil's scout uniform, Rupert's jeans -> skirt, etc. such a goated season
For season 40 (while I love the Adam podium moment), I would go with Tony vs Sarah fire making. The emotion behind these two friends with such a history knowing one of their dreams was over at the hands of the other hit hard. Definitely hard to choose in some seasons though, either due to too many moments or absolutely none haha.
YES that was such a terrific moment. I may not always love Sarah, but they have such a true and genuine friendship. It has been one of the best continued stories over the course of survivor, along with Rob & Ambers marriage, for me personally. Tony was truly emotional about it, it was touching.
In season 4, my most iconic moment definitely has to be Vecepia at the Fallen Comrades challenge. Using her one pre-game luxury item to win a late game challenge definitely stuck in my mind for a long time
I think a Top 5 or 10 hardest Survivor seasons video would be really interesting. I was thinking about Survivor 41 and how people kept saying it was the hardest season ever and it got me thinking about what is the hardest season
Seasons 2-4 have to be up there. Australian outback they had extra days and their camp/supplies flooded. Africa they had to boil poop/mud water and live in a barrier with 2 people awake at all time to watch for predators. Marquesas the mosquitoes were apparently horrendous.
Such a good vid, I just disagree with Exile Island, most iconic moment has gotta be the whole Touchy Subjects sequence from Courtney getting every question to Cirie's reaction and then having Courtney and Shane stuck at camp and Shane threatening to go to Courtney's apartment and then Cirie still laughing at reward. It's one of my all time favorite sequences, funny enough to top a game-changing strategy imo
I still think I have to give it to Karla and Owen outlasting the tide during Last Gasp for 43. I still feel like that is one of the coolest moments in recent Survivor.
Sorry but I have to say Guatemala’s moment has to be that brutal opening challenge. I get it if you left it out cause it was kinda graphic, but it was a jaw dropping peak into how real the show was for me. Kinda like Skupin and the fire or beast mode cowboy’s evacuation.
I think for Survivor: One World, the most iconic moment for me is Kat going on about how cool it would be for a blindside to happen during final 8 tribal only to get blindsided in that very tribal. For Survivor All-Stars, the Big Tom final speech with the fake out handshake was pretty iconic. San Juan Del Sur, I loved Reed's speech to Missy. For Survivor Kaoh Rong, it's Tai refusing to use his idol on Scot. I'm surprised you didn't go with Cirie getting idoled out on Game Changers.
For island of idols I would have picked reactions to applebees. I’m Canadian and when I travelled to Phoenix Arizona I actually sought out an applebees to try the food that made Karishma and Missy so excited. And even ordered a shark bowl after Tommy’s endorsement
I love the Michaela blindside, but I’ll also nominate Adam and Jay’s hammock conversation about their moms as one of the most powerful moments in survivor history.
A few moments I would pick over yours: 1: Richard Hatch taking throwing the FIC Probably the first thrown challenge ever, it surprised Jeff, and it's only made more iconic from Boogie copying it in BB all stars. 22: "He's literally carrying his family on his back!" One of the most memed lines ever, also not much to choose from here. 30: The Auction The turning point of the season, a shocking turn of events, and the reason we don't have the auction anymore. 33: Adam and Jay in the hammock One of the most heartfelt moments of Survivor ever. I tear up every time I watch it. 37: Minority split vote The best use of advantages ever, a Brochacho blindside, and a big turning point of the season. 40: Sarah vs Tony firemaking A moment three seasons in the making, to cap off a season thirty nine seasons in the making.
For Australia, I would also include the camp completely flooding and washing away after coming back from Tribal. It was like this tribe kept getting kicked even when they were already down
In Survivor 45, everyone wanted a man named Kaleb out, and he played a shot in the dark, was safe, and every single person voted for him but had to revote. That was incredible.
Is it weird that I live in Nigeria, never been to the US, and know pretty much all of these iconic moves. Been a survivor fan for only eight years, but watched almost all the seasons except four or so. My family knows not to mess with my survivor binge time. Thank you for this
Rodney doing dish on his birthday is such an iconic moment that I was watching a video unrelated to Survivor and they used that clip. For Winner's at War I would have chose Tony runny like a cartoon character to read his Extortion advantage. though that's just cause it makes me laugh just thinking about it
I think Guatemala's most iconic moment has to be Judd's salty reaction to getting blindsided. I'd also pick the Auction just as a whole for One World. So many awesome moments there like Kat's reaction to the BLT, Kim bidding on chocolate in the shower, Tarzan just not wanting to spend money so he gets $500 after the season only to break down in tears and spend it all when the letters from home show up. So many good moments.
The finale was aired live at CBS Studio City in Hollywood; a guy from South Vienna, Ohio won the million by going all the way *WITHOUT* being eliminated. I saw that one.
Jesse eliminating Cody in 43 is very good, but I personally really like the bucket holding challenge where Gabler just starts name dropping everyone he looks up to. A very emotional and memorable challenge moment for me! (Also Cody took another 2nd place in an individual immunity challenge, I don't know if anyone has been as consistently 2nd as him in any season ever)
Gabon’s most iconic should’ve been Bob’s fake immunity idols, especially the first one that was so good that Jeff retrieved it out of the fire after cameras were turned off and then gave the immunity idol remains to Bob at the reunion show.
10:05 Lmao, I probably could not disagree more because I literally finished Gabon less than a week ago, found it a super interesting season, and I for the life of me cannot remember what they are looking at. For me, my pick off the top of my head would be little Sugar finding the immunity idol with the help of her dad :). seriously, what are they looking at? I cannot even remember Matty, Corinne and Sugar being on a tribe together. Was it Marcus being voted out? Okay, if so, that was admittedly a pretty interesting fallout.
All survivor channels are great but Idoled Out is by far the funniest On the actual topic of the video, I don't have many notes however I'm sad you didn't include the full Stacey copypasta speech even though I do know it by heart. I have no idea why "halloween jokes, chucky the cheese jokes" gets me but it is hilarious every time
Mike falling into the fire in Season 2 is for me THE most iconic scene in ALL of Survivor. It is literally the first thing that pops into my head whenever i think about the show.
IMHO Season 46's most iconic moment is Maria getting Liz and Q to do rock paper scissors after saying it was about who needs it most, even though Q had recently won a food reward, Venus was wrongfully excluded having eaten less than Q, and Liz being the obvious choice being malnourished from her food allergies.
I feel like for Africa it's just... seeing the contestants surviving in Africa on like the first night. The fact that they're THERE. It was before every survivalist show you can think of. No Naked and Afraid. No Bear Grylls. No Survivorman. This was like... one of the first times we saw something like this.

46 has so many iconic moments. You have Jelinsky smashing the hourglass, Bhanu praying to god for a miracle and it actually happening, Bhanu’s downfall episode, the hide and seek game, the Taylor Swift Vs Metallica game, everyone going home with idols, Liz’s Applebees rant (probably the most iconic), Q telling the tribe to vote him out leading to one of the best live tribals ever and ending up with Tevin going home. Q’s elimination where they showed everyone’s votes, Ben winning the final immunity challenge, The alphabet game, Hunter hiding in the tree, Maria stabbing Charlie in the back and finally Liz admits “I would’ve beaten all of you.”
For season 4, the most iconic moment (IMO) had to be when in the episode 6 reward challenge "dumb and dumber" lost it for their tribe. (As rob would put it) which caused the underdogs to go on a challenge winning streak

for me, micronesia has to be the nataile-parvati jury question, i was flabbergasted the first time i saw it and gabon has to be the sugar's & crystal's confessionals & my favourite "nataile, can i have your jacket nataile?"
Africa had some awesome rewards I woulda went with but the auction was great too. I also respect that less of these were strategic moves than lists I'm used to seeing
I still think one of the most iconic moment of Borneo is the Gretchen vote out where halfway through she goes "Oh my god its me"... the berth of how alliances trump survival skills in the game as the person who probably would have won if the "worst person at surviving" was voted out each week gets clipped immediately come the merge.
for season 30, id probably give the edge to the auction, though dunking on Rodney is always a good choice. One world has so many options. Kat and her cousin, Troyzan celebration, Colton crying are all awesome and iconic moments in my book.
I just realized exactly how much I'm disengaged with the new era: was totally into this video until it got to 41. Great coverage though! Hopefully 45 and beyond begin to fix the issues of the last 4 seasons

In regards to Erik giving up immunity in Micronesia: While I agree that it is the most iconic moment of the season, it is NOT the dumbest move in the show's history. I don't even think it's in the top 3 dumbest moves of that season. Personally, I think that Jason falling for Ozzy's fake idol, Jason dropping immunity at F9, and Jason buying Natalie's story after coming back from Exile and not playing his idol at F8 are all dumber.
Yeah, top 3 dumbest moments of Micronesia are all Jason Siska moments.
EDIT: I have realized that while Jason falling for Ozzy's fake idol is still very stupid, it doesn't count as a move. I would therefore say Erik giving up immunity would indeed just barely make my top 3 dumbest moves of the season.

For season 40 (while I love the Adam podium moment), I would go with Tony vs Sarah fire making. The emotion behind these two friends with such a history knowing one of their dreams was over at the hands of the other hit hard.
Definitely hard to choose in some seasons though, either due to too many moments or absolutely none haha.
YES that was such a terrific moment. I may not always love Sarah, but they have such a true and genuine friendship. It has been one of the best continued stories over the course of survivor, along with Rob & Ambers marriage, for me personally. Tony was truly emotional about it, it was touching.

In season 4, my most iconic moment definitely has to be Vecepia at the Fallen Comrades challenge. Using her one pre-game luxury item to win a late game challenge definitely stuck in my mind for a long time

I think a Top 5 or 10 hardest Survivor seasons video would be really interesting. I was thinking about Survivor 41 and how people kept saying it was the hardest season ever and it got me thinking about what is the hardest season
Seasons 2-4 have to be up there. Australian outback they had extra days and their camp/supplies flooded. Africa they had to boil poop/mud water and live in a barrier with 2 people awake at all time to watch for predators. Marquesas the mosquitoes were apparently horrendous.

Such a good vid, I just disagree with Exile Island, most iconic moment has gotta be the whole Touchy Subjects sequence from Courtney getting every question to Cirie's reaction and then having Courtney and Shane stuck at camp and Shane threatening to go to Courtney's apartment and then Cirie still laughing at reward. It's one of my all time favorite sequences, funny enough to top a game-changing strategy imo
I still think I have to give it to Karla and Owen outlasting the tide during Last Gasp for 43. I still feel like that is one of the coolest moments in recent Survivor.
Sorry but I have to say Guatemala’s moment has to be that brutal opening challenge. I get it if you left it out cause it was kinda graphic, but it was a jaw dropping peak into how real the show was for me. Kinda like Skupin and the fire or beast mode cowboy’s evacuation.

I think for Survivor: One World, the most iconic moment for me is Kat going on about how cool it would be for a blindside to happen during final 8 tribal only to get blindsided in that very tribal. For Survivor All-Stars, the Big Tom final speech with the fake out handshake was pretty iconic. San Juan Del Sur, I loved Reed's speech to Missy. For Survivor Kaoh Rong, it's Tai refusing to use his idol on Scot. I'm surprised you didn't go with Cirie getting idoled out on Game Changers.
For island of idols I would have picked reactions to applebees. I’m Canadian and when I travelled to Phoenix Arizona I actually sought out an applebees to try the food that made Karishma and Missy so excited. And even ordered a shark bowl after Tommy’s endorsement
This would have been such a good pick too! Island of the Idols is so wonderfully campy when Dan isn't ruining the whole thing.
I love the Michaela blindside, but I’ll also nominate Adam and Jay’s hammock conversation about their moms as one of the most powerful moments in survivor history.

Probably the first thrown challenge ever, it surprised Jeff, and it's only made more iconic from Boogie copying it in BB all stars.

The turning point of the season, a shocking turn of events, and the reason we don't have the auction anymore.

One of the most heartfelt moments of Survivor ever. I tear up every time I watch it.

The best use of advantages ever, a Brochacho blindside, and a big turning point of the season.
40: Sarah vs Tony firemaking
A moment three seasons in the making, to cap off a season thirty nine seasons in the making.

For Australia, I would also include the camp completely flooding and washing away after coming back from Tribal. It was like this tribe kept getting kicked even when they were already down

I'd also pick the Auction just as a whole for One World. So many awesome moments there like Kat's reaction to the BLT, Kim bidding on chocolate in the shower, Tarzan just not wanting to spend money so he gets $500 after the season only to break down in tears and spend it all when the letters from home show up. So many good moments.

Personally I think for Vanuatu the most iconic moment is Leann's blindside due to how it completely changes the season's endgame and even final 2

The finale was aired live at CBS Studio City in Hollywood; a guy from South Vienna, Ohio won the million by going all the way *WITHOUT* being eliminated. I saw that one.
Jesse eliminating Cody in 43 is very good, but I personally really like the bucket holding challenge where Gabler just starts name dropping everyone he looks up to. A very emotional and memorable challenge moment for me! (Also Cody took another 2nd place in an individual immunity challenge, I don't know if anyone has been as consistently 2nd as him in any season ever)
Gabon’s most iconic should’ve been Bob’s fake immunity idols, especially the first one that was so good that Jeff retrieved it out of the fire after cameras were turned off and then gave the immunity idol remains to Bob at the reunion show.

Mike falling into the fire in Season 2 is for me THE most iconic scene in ALL of Survivor. It is literally the first thing that pops into my head whenever i think about the show.
IMHO Season 46's most iconic moment is Maria getting Liz and Q to do rock paper scissors after saying it was about who needs it most, even though Q had recently won a food reward, Venus was wrongfully excluded having eaten less than Q, and Liz being the obvious choice being malnourished from her food allergies.

I feel like for Africa it's just... seeing the contestants surviving in Africa on like the first night. The fact that they're THERE. It was before every survivalist show you can think of. No Naked and Afraid. No Bear Grylls. No Survivorman. This was like... one of the first times we saw something like this.
(Also the real most iconic moment was Bean but seeing as you're avoiding serious cringe of the heart I'll allow it)

46 has so many iconic moments. You have Jelinsky smashing the hourglass, Bhanu praying to god for a miracle and it actually happening, Bhanu’s downfall episode, the hide and seek game, the Taylor Swift Vs Metallica game, everyone going home with idols, Liz’s Applebees rant (probably the most iconic), Q telling the tribe to vote him out leading to one of the best live tribals ever and ending up with Tevin going home. Q’s elimination where they showed everyone’s votes, Ben winning the final immunity challenge, The alphabet game, Hunter hiding in the tree, Maria stabbing Charlie in the back and finally Liz admits “I would’ve beaten all of you.”
For season 4, the most iconic moment (IMO) had to be when in the episode 6 reward challenge "dumb and dumber" lost it for their tribe. (As rob would put it) which caused the underdogs to go on a challenge winning streak

for season 30, id probably give the edge to the auction, though dunking on Rodney is always a good choice. One world has so many options. Kat and her cousin, Troyzan celebration, Colton crying are all awesome and iconic moments in my book.
