If your dog doesn't like it/snaps when you do this, you can also try massaging the throath underneath, it makes them swallow on reflex which stops the reverse sneezing. It helps with our dog, as she does not like her nose getting touched.
My dog does this and she immediately runs to me for help because we are used to it now… even tho it scares the hell out of me to the point of tears. I naturally just put my finger over her nose and it stops and the whole time I actually was doing the right thing.😅
This works! Just now my dog swallowed a chunk of food. She was choking and sneezing. After massaging her chest and neck didn’t work I searched and clicked this vid. I did this technique and after 6-7 seconds she threw up the food chunks and stopped sneezing. Thanks.
What causes this? So a few years back - our girl got a piece of grass in her nose - & ever since then, she has occasional “reverse sneezing” attacks. It’s almost to the point where she looks like she’s struggling to breathe.
I have a that does that sounds but me mum and my sister was worried about my two dogs. They look like they are sick but the vet was too far for us to get there so I need your help please🙏🙏🙏🥺🥺🥺I'm scared
OK I'm glad we stopped it but should we? Is there something I can do so this stops happening? Only one of my boys does it and it freaks me out every time
My dog does this and she scares me each time she started doing this ever since me and my grandma moved back in with my grandpa (who smokes cigs not sure if that's a reason why though) and I've been noticing but when she breathes it sounds weird like a little rumble or something I wanna bring her to the vet but I'm not old enough to drive yet and my grandparents are always at work so even if I could drive I wouldn't be able to take her
What about if you sorta squeeze the sides gently? Or is he allround aggressive? I watched another video with more options if you can't do this with your dog
th-cam.com/video/QxsonYNfitc/w-d-xo.html Are u able touch an inch behind shoulder blade and take thumb down. The link I included EXPLAINS WAY BETTER. Good luck. I haven't tried what either video says to do Just figured out tonight what's going on with my boy.
I tried this the other night and worked immediately. Dog looked at me just as shocked as I was hahaha. Great tip for sure

It goes away in about less than a minute from what I've seen. My vet mom just let them be and they were ok.
ever realized thats a cry for attention?
@@zbusiness88 yea kinda like your comment?
My pit does it when he gets over stimulated. I just pet his shoulder and he stops almost as soon as I put my hand on him

I was talking about this to a lady on our walk and she advised me to do this. Such a lovely lady ❤️ I want to know why this happens.
It does work!!!!!!!!!!!❤
Hold your dog's muzzle and block one nostril with a finger to get them to stop if it's a fit.
Thanks, God bless you!
We spent 8 hours and $900 in urgent care first time mine did this and they didn't even tell us this!
Can't hear what the dog was doing for the loud music.

Or rub the throat with the head slightly elevated had 2 pugs works Everytime.

What is the cause of this and why is this happening?
This is second time he did and stopped he scared me so death but what does it means
Is this the only treatment for severe
WHY do they do that? I noticed this dog does it when she’s really excited about something/someone. And it’s more like hyperventilating than a sneeze.
My jackahuahua does it when he gets too excited, usually when I'm opening the door to someone he really likes 🤦♀️ used to cause me so much anxiety.
