You did great, Justin! Production was solid and camera work super nice. Editing was great and your presentation was really good! You’ll only get better and better and better.
I'm restoring an old 2008 Kawasaki ER6N, and I was running into issues with my battery. I remembered this channel, and this video helped me out in figuring what kind of new battery to buy and to maintain. Thank you! I can't believe I forgot about this channel really.
I’ve got a 2012 Suzuki DRZ 400 Sm with the original battery and I’m not sure the name brand but I’ve never had an issue with it ever! I live in Canada and ride year round and she cranks over even in the coldest days -20 it’s always impressed me! Sadly I’ve never done any maintenance to it so I’m the spring I will start! 👍🏻✌🏻🇨🇦
It's been a while since I last saw a new episode of MC Garage. I even thought you had given up. Thank you guys for not! :D And thank you too, Justin, and congratulations on taking on such a challenge. Keep up with the good work!
at the start of the video, i tought i will miss Ari. But then you delivered the info pretty much in similar style and manner as Ari. So well done there. keep it coming.
Hi, great video. You said there's three types of battery: LA, Lithium Ion, and Lithium Iron phosphate. Further down the video, you described the first two type. What differentiates a lithium ion from a lithium iron phospate?
Nice.....I knew they would find a good guy to keep up the good work. 👍 I’d love to see something on a sport bike hitting a dyno in Stock trim. Replacing air filter, exhaust, check it on dyno again. Add Power Commander and check it again. This is something we all think about and try and justify the funds. 💰
Just wanna drop my feedback: As a big fan of Ari, I'm pretty happy with this new host. I'm excited for what's more to come. If you have another guy to act as a co-host, it would be even better.
Hey, welcome to MC Garage. Ari has been here for many years now and it's sad to see him go. These are certainly tough shoes to fill, so good luck and most importantly have fun
Thank you for the content. One question though: isn't it better to store battery in the cold (lower self-discharge) and warm it up to room temperature just before use?
Nice to see that mc garage is going on. Now please could you guys make a video on difference between petal disc vs normal disc and missing arai but this video is also informative.
Great video! Very informative and on point, glad that MC Garage is back. Do you ride with the Gear Watch? I bought a smartwatch to strap it my motorcycle handbars and use google maps but it didn't work very well
Not bad. I like how Ari always had something a little extra to add to most boring topics. That one thing most people didn't know or care to think about...or a cool little tip. That's my suggestion for next time!
Great job new guy.. as long as you deliver the point I don’t think the host looks will matter.. much liked and waiting for the new videos.. I would like to ask to show us how to perform leak down test on 4 stroke..
@@jospi2 I figured Zach and Ari are still doing it over at Motortrend. Just wondering if the new MM staff are going to do something similar. Just to clear up my initial post.
Ditto what DD Bam said. A little smoother delivery will help, not so much start-stop-stop. I would hate to have to follow Ari though, he's a natural extrovert. I had no idea about the wifi thing, thanks for that! The rest I pretty much knew, but this was a great intro for those just starting. Wish I had found something like this back then. Keep up the great work!
surprise me from MM , "your batttery is better off in warm room then in the cold" actually the cold stops the chemical reaction inside pausing the battery life. if you keep it warm it actually degrades over time. of course you got to keep it charged at all time because a bad state of charge can lower the acid freezing point and swells the battery.
My SSB can be charged with a $10 cheapo battery charger. Check the battery specs for appropriate chargers. Not a maintenance/trickle charger but a regular one.
Tough shoes to fill! But good first effort 👍
I like justin i think he’ll do a great job in this show
Ari is doing the same videos but in another place which requires u to pay to watch, I'm okay with him being the new guy here, it's free lol
Which channel is Ari working on?
@@thamodaranravi1346 motortrend
@@rohansingh9040 Got it, thanks.
It's pay to watch? Wow fk that.
Can't fault a guy for getting a (presumably) better job offer and taking it.
I’m a huge Zack and Ari fan, but I’m also poor. Thanks for keeping these coming for free.99 and keeping the same format.

Great job Justin looking forward to more Mc garages
finally, a new video. good job
Love MC Garage! No matter who presents the episode, they have great tips for any new motorcyclist. Plus it's free.
Hi new guy! Congrats and keep them videos coming
Good job

A very good first effort. So much better than say Simon Crafar's first 3-4 months as pit lane reporter for MotoGP.
Thanks for continuing mc garage it is my favorite segment

"Sucess is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts."
Do what now?
Failure to get off a train track when the train is coming is fatal. Failure to have a parachute when jumping out of an aircraft is fatal. Etc, etc.
at the start of the video, i tought i will miss Ari. But then you delivered the info pretty much in similar style and manner as Ari. So well done there. keep it coming.
I ain't paying the rich cats over at Discovery/Velocity/Motor Trend. Thanks for the free content here! Bad enough to pay the internet bill each month.
Much better than expected, honestly I don't think I mind you, new guy
And he's straight.
Good job Justin! I learned more about batteries and that's what counts.....thanks
Nice video mate. Good presentation. Rock n roll!!

I'm still going to watch every video from this channel.
You did a good job but I miss the veins. Can you draw some on your arms?
hahahahha
You did great Justin. Keep up the good work. Well done MC Garage team. Good content and free channel doesn't come by that often :)
J Dawg in the MC house!!! 😉😎 I've liked his contributions since the Motorcycle USA days.
Keep up the great work! 👍😀
Looks like Ari kept their gym busy all the time so this guy didn't have a possibility to visit it :)
Anyway, nice effort, we're cool you're here!
Just wanna drop my feedback: As a big fan of Ari, I'm pretty happy with this new host. I'm excited for what's more to come. If you have another guy to act as a co-host, it would be even better.
Nice job. When you get on a roll, you can make the delivery your own----then it will be magic
Good MC Garage debut Justin! Looking forward to new episodes.
Welcome along Justin!
It's hard watching MC without Ari, but I bet that 20 segments down the line, you'll have settled in nicely.
Keep the MC Garages coming!
A slow but sure footed start. Good job keeping MC garage alive. Looking forward to more charged up videos in the future (pun intended)
Hey, welcome to MC Garage. Ari has been here for many years now and it's sad to see him go. These are certainly tough shoes to fill, so good luck and most importantly have fun
welcome to the FAMILY! Mc garage rocks!
Good work keeping up with MC Garage!
I used almost all your videos in a technical section on the forum of my MC.
Thank you for the content. One question though: isn't it better to store battery in the cold (lower self-discharge) and warm it up to room temperature just before use?
Great job. You are keeper! Just be yourself and only look forward. Learned a lot and it's much appreciated. 😎
no matter who is it,i still get the useful information.. thanks
Great video, well explained
Nice to see this series again
great info man, i never realize battery maintenance could be this details.
Glad to see this series is back. Helpful info, especially this time of year- thanks!
Good first go! Welcome Justin!
Great job Justin. Looking forward to a new year with many videos. 2019!!!! Teach us. Teach us.
Hi Justin, great video. Welcome aboard!
You’ve got a lot to live up to and you did a pretty good job
Nice to see that mc garage is going on. Now please could you guys make a video on difference between petal disc vs normal disc and missing arai but this video is also informative.
Good luck dude. It's the equivalent of trying to take over for of Clarkson May and Hammond and I think you made a good video.
All the best in here , looking for more videos on bike reviews, maintenance , accessories etc.
Welcome Justin. Going the right way buddy. Look forward to more videos with you hosting.
Good choice from the production team :)
Don't let any pressure get to you guys, the content is still top notch, unlike my own bike.
Great video! Very informative and on point, glad that MC Garage is back.

good job dude, unlike another boring channel, this is the awesome one,
keep it up.
Great first episode Justin! I'm a big fan and a big Facebook video sharer.
Happy you guys are finally back!!!!
Ari is just a familiar face, keep the motorcycle info coming & i’ll keep watching! Great job & thanks for the vid!

Quality content maintained! Keep sharing your knowledge!
That is literally my bike. Love my new orange KTM Duke 790!
Hey can y’all do a vidoe about California’s new exhaust law? From Cali and just bought a bike and not sure what we can and can’t do.
Missed him already man. Anyway good job on keeping this channel great👍🏻
Thanks for making this informative video
dreadlock the beard and im sold!
Great vid excited to see more from you!
Hi Justin, great work! Really informative video, although I'd lie if I said I don't miss Ari. Looking forward to the next ones though, keep it up!
Excellent video thumb up 👍
Nice! I've been missing this series
Great video , keep them coming !!!
Very good job. Im also a motortrend subscriber but these vids beats the MT counter part easily. Better production style imho. Keep it up
Maybe not the best place to ask, but, what the hell, let's ask. Are you guys at MM still going to produce MC Commute?
He's still doing that on Motortrend on demand.
@@jospi2 I figured Zach and Ari are still doing it over at Motortrend. Just wondering if the new MM staff are going to do something similar. Just to clear up my initial post.
Yeah, the two gay fellows did a spanking great job of that.
@@stoneblue1795 this comment sounds so british

Can anyone tell me what that Ring Terminal plug does exactly, and where I could buy one?
The one shown at 2:49..
Yasssssss...MC garage is back!!!
Good video. Keep it up buddy 👍
Finally a new video ...
Edit: Really Liked it.
I was told by shorai that you can use a standard charger to top up the lithium battery. A hour or two to top it up wont hurt it
surprise me from MM , "your batttery is better off in warm room then in the cold"

Nice pace well done
Welcome Justin, excellent vid. Love you. Love the beard.
Is that all the under seat storage on the 790 duke? Think there's room for a padlock style disc lock?
Wish you a good luck mate
MR.Justin Dawes ... nice start.. but you forgot to say "Ride Safe"!
