Yo, if you dedicate to healing... Do everything right, keep the blood flowing circulation is key! do the physical therapy. Your body can heal fairly rapid as well as get back to nearly 100 percent mobility. But you gotta put in the work. I broke a femur (displaced 3 inches). Had to have a rod implanted to heal. Was crazy painful the whole way. Still is, But I continue to push it and build back the muscle I lost. If anything, the injury inspired me to get more physically fit🤙🏽 Always look for the positive.
@@theangryitalianscottypiffi1048 I'll admit, I was eating then like tic tac at first. Kicked them six weeks after the injury. All I can say is kratom is a wonderful plant ✌🏽 Still on kratom in fact. Helps with pain, focus, energy... Really amazing. And legal, for now.
I honestly understand not wanting to wear pads or helmets but stuff like this is why the industry needs to be more positive about safety and personal choice. Andy Anderson and Mike V both are freaking amazing and I'm stoked that they are making helmets more normal to use. I know the thrasher image is important but its weird how you guys give off a strange vibe over a simple knee SUPPORT that's what he has on ...A KNEE SUPPORT who cares go shred have fun and if it helps then wear the fricken thing.
The irony of the Thrasher image of no pads and fuck it yet Phelps hitting his head is almost certainly the catalyst for him dying. Andy's run at Tampa showed some people how gifted he is. Wear a helmet if you want. Who gives a fuck?
@@kevvymetal666 Well Phelps died how? Possible drug overdose? As a result of the last time he hit his head and all of his surgeries he was on pain meds. Which killed him more than likely. I'm not trying to be all Josh Katz sounding and shit but it makes sense IMO.
"The reset button." After i destroyed my arm on a 5-0 it haunted me for a few years. Now i'm working on kickflip 5-0s :D I love being back on the board.
That sucks. I had the exact same injury myself but not from skating. I took a run and jump to do a front flip on flat land, and just as I took off i SWEAR I saw my left leg go backwards and I knew I’d done something while in mid air. Landed, stood up and just collapsed again. The knee doctor said he hadn’t seen an injury like it in about 15 years. That was about 13 years ago now and to this day, that leg still doesn’t feel quite right, sometimes it just gives way a little 🙃 anyway that’s my life story
I could understand how some people would think that pads are lame. But I’ve never seen anyone give somebody shit over wearing pads. If you see old thrasher mags plenty of skaters wore pads. Doing insane shit. The pads work more as confidence than protection. Of course they protect you but If you’re trying to do airs or inverts you need to sometimes slide on your knee pads if you bail. Just as Ronnie said it the volleyball knee pad is more to make you sure of yourself that you won’t get hurt.
what you can do with pills is cut them up into little pieces and work to a comfortable place, its better not to take them but taking a full prescribed narc is heavy so taking little pieces until the pain is tolerable is better. like micro dosing with lsd or shrooms
Yeah. I've got a wire in my knee for the same exact injury. It sits around the perimeter to is wound super tight to bind all the peices together. Needs to be taken out eventually. Shit fucking sucks man. I'm four weeks out from surgery.
