Awww man i wanted to see what an egyptian/english and pakistanian baby would look like but i understand and respect your's and sid's decision to not post any pictures of the baby. In my culture theres a tradition that once a baby is born, no one should see the baby for 40 days (except for really close relatives like siblings and grandparents) to prevent anyone looking badly at the baby. I'm from Azerbaijan btw. :)

Amenakin has the same rule with her kids! She shows their backs or silhouettes but never their faces. I think it's a smart choice for mothers. One of my favorite girl names is Muniya. It means wishes in Arabic. For boys, I always love prophet names like Yusuf or Suleiman :) Thanks for the update!

When I had my first baby boy I too didn't want to post pictures of him on social media. However when I told family like the in laws they did not understand where I was coming from. They were so eager to post pictures of him and eventually did despite knowing how I felt about it. When my son was about 3 months old I couldn't help it and also posted pictures, but I altered my privacy settings so that only close family and friends were able to see his pictures. I completely understand how you're feeling about this Dina and do what feels right for you. Congratulations Dina and enjoy motherhood! It's amazing, the best job in the world! I have 2 boys now and they keep me very busy but I cannot imagine my life without them. They're my world X

Hi there, Dina. Try having a few cups of red raspberry leaf tea daily. It's a natural uterine tonic that helps ease labor pain and strengthen the muscles. It was suggested to me by my midwife and, honestly, I feel it did help tremendously. On another note, I am not in the public eye, but did not post my son's photos on social media until he was three months old. That is such a sacred, transcendent time and I wanted to keep it very private. Congrats again and, as always, I enjoyed your video!!
sciatic nerve pain can be soo bad!!! i tried all the exercises and it would help but only for a bit. i had it throughout my entire pregnancy. what a nightmare! good luck to you dina! inshallah bil salama
Hey dina, I love watching your videos and the vlogs with SID, I agree on your statement about not posting pics about the baby on social media, esp in todays day where people steal baby pics and photoshop them into something completely disgusting but from personal experience, sending pics to family, they sometimes out of excitement will post it so its very hard to control what is posted. But all the best for the remaining time and praying for a safe healthy little one

I came across this one vid where the parents were asked why they do not post or put any video of their kids online and they answered it very well. They said the kids have a choice if they wanna go public and show their faces/activities etc online. And they will leave it with the kids. Therefore until their kids do not know or dont have any idea about it, they, as parents will not force them to do these things. They dont wanna exploit them. Congrats Dina & Sid! hi dina! me and my husband also are not comfortable with putting pictures up of our child. he is mashallah 2 now and from the day he was born we always said no to it and also told family members not to upload anything and definately not without our permission. so I totally understand where u are coming from and people should respect ur decision. it's your child and u can do what you want. my baby inshalla is due oct, 25 around that time, and I don't plan to post any photos of by child online. I feel like it's a personal decision that me and my husband made for the safety and comfort of our family to be. and we want allah to bless and keep us safe from any hatred, hate, unwanted comments and evil eye. and people have told us many times that there are people out there who take pic of your children and post it on their own pages like it's their own kid. I don't want my kids growing up thinking I made a choice that was not my right to share or do. they will grow and have a life one day and this may be soemthing so simple and a joke to others, but it's very Personal and a serious matter. Hamdilla I'm set with my decision and I think you wanting that privacy is not wrong at all

Hi Dina. I too am about 30 weeks now and also dont feel that at least for the first year I wont put up any pictures. It gets a bot difficult after that because you might want to post family pictures or you siblings might tag you in a picture they have added. For me the toilet issue is such a PAIN I cant deal with public toilets but I am forced to use it now. All the best with the last few weeks Insha-Allah!!

I feel so much for you, cause I get so tired when I'm pregnant, but you will not see the last couple of months passing. For the baby carrier, be careful with the ones that put the baby on the front because it's not great for the legs and the hips of the baby, I had a sling that you put through one shoulder, the kind that ascia akf has, and I think it's the best, and you can also use it when the baby is older. Concerning the stroller, you should check the size of it ones it's folded, see if it fits in your trunk, check the weight, and of course, the comfort of the baby. Anyway, wish you a smooth delivery, and a healthy baby in cha Allah. 😘😘
Salam dina! Glad to hear that your pregnancy is going really well alhamdulillah. Hope all continues to go well throughout pregnancy and the birth, and that your child grows up to be a healthy, pious and rightious human being inshallah! Just wanted to suggest a pram, my husband has done a lot of research and he found that the best two are the oh baby zizu (we bought the red one with th dotty rain cover as it looks like a ladybird lol), and the other option is the uppababy. Both start out as new born style, with them being like a bassinet/moses basket on wheels, then the oh baby zizu can be converted to be used for an older baby/toddler. The uppababy can be bought with the next clip in for an older baby/toddler. It can also accommodate two babies by clipping in two separate seats, and I believe it has a standing area for older children. Both of these prams/push chairs have a large basket at the bottom (the uppababy has a slightly larger one.) Matching nappy bags and accessories can be bought with both too. I got my oh baby zizu online from someone who was selling a nearly new one on gum tree. There are loads of people who buy prams and then want to update with a new one every five minutes, alot of these prams are in great condition and alot cheaper then getting it brand new, either way you have to wash the pram and inserts with non bio washing powder so hygiene shouldn't be a problem. You have to go collect the secound hand prams from the seller's house, but this means you can properly inspect the pram and even barter on the price. There are some brand new prams on ebay for pretty cheep too if you didn't want to go down the pre-loved route, and these can be delivered. Hope you manage to get all your baby stuff in time inshallah! And can't wait to see the cute mini nursery! I am yet to decorate mine too!

However, if you decide otherwise: Zaryaab is a beautiful name for a boy & for a girl Samiyah, or Safiyah are really beautiful as well. I understand the privacy thing too but at the same time I was really looking forward to seeing your baby. But, you know what's best & of course I'd respect whatever decision you make.

My pregnancy was really bad, I was admitted to hosp due to severe sickness. Alhamdulilah pregnancy was very hard but all worthwhile at the end. Inshallah I pray you have a good and healthy pregnancy. Can't wait for your bundle of joy to arrive. I totally understand not posting up pics of your baba, because I don't. Even tho it's very tempting but it's best to keep your baba to yourself. Assalamu Alaikum Dina. Just wanted to let you know that dates are really good for your labour. Even the Quran suggests it. The following are verses 22-25 from Surah Maryam. Science have only found the following 2 conclusions. However the Quran has mentioned them briefly nearly 1400 years ago. Subhan'Allah 1- The date tree that's present eases labour and reduces the risk of complications related to labour 2- The stream of water present also ensures birth runs smoothly. Hence why water-births are so common nowadays. Here are the verses: 23. And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a date-palm. She said: "Would that I had died before this, and had been forgotten and out of sight!" 24. Then [the babe 'Iesa (Jesus) or Jibrael (Gabriel)] cried unto her from below her, saying: "Grieve not! Your Lord has provided a water stream under you; 25. "And shake the trunk of date-palm towards you, it will let fall fresh ripe-dates upon you."

I also don't post any photos of my child online. however, it's hard to control your child's friends' parents from posting pictures if they're at a party or something. When i had my son it didn't really bother me as much as it does now about posting pictures of him. But lately i barely upload pictures of my son only because you have people who would take the pictures, and i personally find that weird and makes me feel uncomfortable. Even when my insta accounts on private people still get hold of pictures. Its completely normal tbh.

I have 2 kids one boy who is 3 and a little girl who is 4 months :) and I never post any pictures online I don't think the Internet is a safe place and like you said once there up its out of your control and to protect them against any evil eye :) all the best with the rest of your pregnancy not long to go now! Also if your going to get a baby carrier check out the ergo carrier much better support for the legs and hips!
I love these updates! I find them so funny. Anyway in terms of social media and children - in my opinion I wouldn't put my child's photos online. I don't have any children but I already came that conclusion a long time ago. A lot of my uncles and aunt don't like having their children picture online either - I think it mostly to do with evil eye etc. I know quite a few muslima bloggers/vloggers don't have their children online at all. Also another thing is that their are ALOT of family vloggers online that showcase their children and people can say such horrible things! I worry for these children metal health and how it will be affect them in the future. I think there are more negatives than positives when it comes to this issue. Again, it is completely up to you and what you feel comfortable in doing. You know what is best for your child. May Allah make the rest of your pregnant easy for you and have a healthy and happy child. Ameen

I gave birth at 36+6 weeks! you never know when it will start. Also I agree with not putting pictures up on social media, even though I really want to see your baby! I think its best to keep picture private because of all the negativity in peoples minds and evil eye etc. some people dont have a good heart and not everybody wishes good...
Yeah dina I don't blame you for being on the fence about it..My nephew Abdul has never been posted online instagram,facebook nothing. My sister just won't allow it and in my culture we also say that too much talk is not good. He's a very handsome one year old and smart mashallah his height was part of the 99 percentile so my sister and my mum shelter him. It's even hard when he goes out with us to smile and accept the complements because we are like half smiling and nodding our heads and awkwardly saying mashallah at the same time. I'm not comfortable with putting their pics online but don't mind hands and feet as you said. I think it's just me being protective and also respecting their privacy. As a parent I have to do what's best for them and I don't think it would be fair to them if I made that decision to put their pics online. I came across this one vid where the parents were asked why they do not post or put any video of their kids online and they answered it very well. They said the kids have a choice if they wanna go public and show their faces/activities etc online. And they will leave it with the kids. Therefore until their kids do not know or dont have any idea about it, they, as parents will not force them to do these things. They dont wanna exploit them. Congrats Dina & Sid! hi dina! me and my husband also are not comfortable with putting pictures up of our child. he is mashallah 2 now and from the day he was born we always said no to it and also told family members not to upload anything and definately not without our permission. so I totally understand where u are coming from and people should respect ur decision. it's your child and u can do what you want. my baby inshalla is due oct, 25 around that time, and I don't plan to post any photos of by child online. I feel like it's a personal decision that me and my husband made for the safety and comfort of our family to be. and we want allah to bless and keep us safe from any hatred, hate, unwanted comments and evil eye. and people have told us many times that there are people out there who take pic of your children and post it on their own pages like it's their own kid. I don't want my kids growing up thinking I made a choice that was not my right to share or do. they will grow and have a life one day and this may be soemthing so simple and a joke to others, but it's very Personal and a serious matter. Hamdilla I'm set with my decision and I think you wanting that privacy is not wrong at all

Hi Dina. I too am about 30 weeks now and also dont feel that at least for the first year I wont put up any pictures. It gets a bot difficult after that because you might want to post family pictures or you siblings might tag you in a picture they have added. For me the toilet issue is such a PAIN I cant deal with public toilets but I am forced to use it now. All the best with the last few weeks Insha-Allah!!

I know perfectly that once I become a mother, my child is not going to be displayed on social media. I think it is very respectful of you towards your child to respect their future wills and limits. I feel so much for you, cause I get so tired when I'm pregnant, but you will not see the last couple of months passing. For the baby carrier, be careful with the ones that put the baby on the front because it's not great for the legs and the hips of the baby, I had a sling that you put through one shoulder, the kind that ascia akf has, and I think it's the best, and you can also use it when the baby is older. Concerning the stroller, you should check the size of it ones it's folded, see if it fits in your trunk, check the weight, and of course, the comfort of the baby. Anyway, wish you a smooth delivery, and a healthy baby in cha Allah. 😘😘
Salam dina! Glad to hear that your pregnancy is going really well alhamdulillah. Hope all continues to go well throughout pregnancy and the birth, and that your child grows up to be a healthy, pious and rightious human being inshallah! Just wanted to suggest a pram, my husband has done a lot of research and he found that the best two are the oh baby zizu (we bought the red one with th dotty rain cover as it looks like a ladybird lol), and the other option is the uppababy. Both start out as new born style, with them being like a bassinet/moses basket on wheels, then the oh baby zizu can be converted to be used for an older baby/toddler. The uppababy can be bought with the next clip in for an older baby/toddler. It can also accommodate two babies by clipping in two separate seats, and I believe it has a standing area for older children. Both of these prams/push chairs have a large basket at the bottom (the uppababy has a slightly larger one.) Matching nappy bags and accessories can be bought with both too. I got my oh baby zizu online from someone who was selling a nearly new one on gum tree. There are loads of people who buy prams and then want to update with a new one every five minutes, alot of these prams are in great condition and alot cheaper then getting it brand new, either way you have to wash the pram and inserts with non bio washing powder so hygiene shouldn't be a problem. You have to go collect the secound hand prams from the seller's house, but this means you can properly inspect the pram and even barter on the price. There are some brand new prams on ebay for pretty cheep too if you didn't want to go down the pre-loved route, and these can be delivered. Hope you manage to get all your baby stuff in time inshallah! And can't wait to see the cute mini nursery! I am yet to decorate mine too!

However, if you decide otherwise: Zaryaab is a beautiful name for a boy & for a girl Samiyah, or Safiyah are really beautiful as well. I understand the privacy thing too but at the same time I was really looking forward to seeing your baby. But, you know what's best & of course I'd respect whatever decision you make.

My pregnancy was really bad, I was admitted to hosp due to severe sickness. Alhamdulilah pregnancy was very hard but all worthwhile at the end. Inshallah I pray you have a good and healthy pregnancy. Can't wait for your bundle of joy to arrive.
I totally understand not posting up pics of your baba, because I don't. Even tho it's very tempting but it's best to keep your baba to yourself. I think it's the best thing to do.

Amenakin doesn't show her kids for a similar reason. I think she and her husband said in a video that they want their kids to be old enough to decide if they want to have their photos or videos public like that. Kudos to you! And MashaAllah you looks great!

Assalamu Alaikum Dina. Just wanted to let you know that dates are really good for your labour. Even the Quran suggests it. The following are verses 22-25 from Surah Maryam. Science have only found the following 2 conclusions. However the Quran has mentioned them briefly nearly 1400 years ago. Subhan'Allah
1- The date tree that's present eases labour and reduces the risk of complications related to labour
2- The stream of water present also ensures birth runs smoothly. Hence why water-births are so common nowadays.
Here are the verses:
23. And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a date-palm. She said: "Would that I had died before this, and had been forgotten and out of sight!"
24. Then [the babe 'Iesa (Jesus) or Jibrael (Gabriel)] cried unto her from below her, saying: "Grieve not! Your Lord has provided a water stream under you;
25. "And shake the trunk of date-palm towards you, it will let fall fresh ripe-dates upon you."

I love you dina and I totally agree with your opinion about posting picks of your baby online. Some things just need to be private though I would love to see your baby. And Amena from Amenakin also does the same she never shows her kids to the public and I think it is safer and better for you.

I also don't post any photos of my child online. however, it's hard to control your child's friends' parents from posting pictures if they're at a party or something. When i had my son it didn't really bother me as much as it does now about posting pictures of him. But lately i barely upload pictures of my son only because you have people who would take the pictures, and i personally find that weird and makes me feel uncomfortable. Even when my insta accounts on private people still get hold of pictures. Its completely normal tbh.

Also if your going to get a baby carrier check out the ergo carrier much better support for the legs and hips!

I love these updates! I find them so funny. Anyway in terms of social media and children - in my opinion I wouldn't put my child's photos online. I don't have any children but I already came that conclusion a long time ago. A lot of my uncles and aunt don't like having their children picture online either - I think it mostly to do with evil eye etc. I know quite a few muslima bloggers/vloggers don't have their children online at all. Also another thing is that their are ALOT of family vloggers online that showcase their children and people can say such horrible things! I worry for these children metal health and how it will be affect them in the future. I think there are more negatives than positives when it comes to this issue. Again, it is completely up to you and what you feel comfortable in doing. You know what is best for your child. May Allah make the rest of your pregnant easy for you and have a healthy and happy child. Ameen

I gave birth at 36+6 weeks! you never know when it will start. Also I agree with not putting pictures up on social media, even though I really want to see your baby! I think its best to keep picture private because of all the negativity in peoples minds and evil eye etc. some people dont have a good heart and not everybody wishes good...

Yeah dina I don't blame you for being on the fence about it..My nephew Abdul has never been posted online instagram,facebook nothing. My sister just won't allow it and in my culture we also say that too much talk is not good. He's a very handsome one year old and smart mashallah his height was part of the 99 percentile so my sister and my mum shelter him. It's even hard when he goes out with us to smile and accept the complements because we are like half smiling and nodding our heads and awkwardly saying mashallah at the same time. I think it depends on your beliefs. Sorry bout the ramble. Loved the video!!!

I totally understand your decision not to put your babies pics online. I have two children, 6 yr old and 1 yr old. I'm not comfortable with putting their pics online but don't mind hands and feet as you said. I think it's just me being protective and also respecting their privacy. As a parent I have to do what's best for them and I don't think it would be fair to them if I made that decision to put their pics online. As much as I'd love to see your little one, I fully respect your decision. I wish you all the best and pray you have an easy labour Inshallah, lots of love xx
