It was exact same. I starting to feel better Mashallah. It's nice that you shared your pregnancy here. Not everyone tells you about the first trimester on how difficult it can be. The support system isn't really there. The sickness is real 😣. But I feel like a bowl of sunshine in my belly and it's kicking away alhumdulilah😍. Thanks for sharing Dina. Hiya Dina! It's Nilufa/Mangowhirl. Massive congratulations on the fantastic news!! Just watched the video. Takes me back to last year when I was pregnant! Few things I thought I'd share with you that I picked up from the video. Hair - eat 5 Brazil nuts a day and keep it up postnatally. Will make all the difference and your hair loss should finish at 7 months point. Fitness - keep it up. I maintained a healthy fitness regime throughout my pregnancy and it is true that labour and delivery is quicker if you're healthy. I was 6 hours in total from waters breaking and Mini Mango entering the world alhamdulilah. Cravings - it's been said when we crave things whilst pregnant it's out bodies way of telling us what it needs, which makes sense as you stated you didn't eat muh fruit and veg. Can't remember if there was anything else, babybrain. That is another nightmare. You have to write EVERYTHING down now. Make the most of you two now. Go on little trips, etc. Get the most of your sleep because trust me....It's not the same. 8 months on and I've JUST had my first 6 hours sleep!! If you need any tips, help, etc do let me know. I know loadsa people have offered it, I'm sure but I'm new to the game. It's fresh in my mind, yo! Mine is SUCH a pickle. Right now he is terrorising my blinds! Arghhhhh. Hey Dina, Congratulations. I got married at 19 and fell pregnant pretty much straight away. I'm 20 now and my daughter will be 5 months in 2 days Insha Allah. I was the same in the sense that in the first 4 months I was so sick and had no energy, loved sour sweets, and fruits etc etc and then alhamdulillah it all went away. Felt great. Honestly really miss being pregnant. Make the most out of it!!!! I'd really recommend you keep your belly moisturised. I got stretch marks on my arms, thighs, belly and back of my thighs in the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy. I did swell up alot during the last 3 months due to water etension. Obviously being slim yourself if your skins stretching there's a possibility of stretch marks so just a heads up looool. Anyways have fun! !!!xxx

Can totally relate to you! I'm 2 weeks ahead of you in pregnancy - and my GOD, the first three months were the hardest! No energy, and literally this whole 'morning sickness' needs to be renamed because it literally is all day. It got to the point that I was just throwing up air, because nothing was in my stomach to throw up! :P Wasn't the most fun. But alhamdulilah, since the second trimester I settled a LOT better, and like you - I didn't even feel pregnant :P I found it easy to find a girls name - actually settled for one, but I am having a boy - and it's soooo hard to find one I like! Sht gets real when you know its a real actual baby you have to name. One app I swear by - is called 'What to expect'...literally had it from day one, and out of all the apps I downloaded all at once - its the only one I have kept 7 months later. Such beautiful news! I had sickness all throughout my pregnancy - it calmed down a little in the 2nd trimester, but boi did it come back with a vengeance in the 3rd! (I also threw up SO much just before I gave birth and straight after - t'was NOT pretty.) Water births are amazing - do that, haha! But seriously, the pool is amazing and takes so much pressure off your body. Also, Aqua natal classes are a godsend! Good luck with it all. Having a girl here and have barely put any weight and only really around my belly. My cousin had boys and she put on a lot of weight everywhere when she was pregnant. I wouldn't read to much into old wives tales about gender predictions. Every woman and every pregnancy is different.
I've had 3 girls and was so neat, no weight on my face or arms. I don't think weight gain has anything to do with gender. It's just a coincidence most of the time :)
What my mom told me is that if u have a baby boy then ur stomach will be filled up from the bottom cuze they r heavy, while girls it will just be like a normal big stomach.

Congratulations!! Cherish every minute of your pregnancy, those little movements and kicks are just amazing. Towards the end of your third trimester, make sure you walk a lot this will help baby's to get his/her head in the correct position for your delivery. Also, they will get you to fill out birth preference sheet but in all honesty it goes out the window when you head to hospital. I wanted a water birth but I had some complications and it wasn't meant to be.

You're not being ignorant at all! It's okay if you don't know much about islamic practices. Muslim women can show their hair to their family, i.e. Brothers, father, paternal and maternal uncles (including greats) grandpas (including greats), nephews, sons, grandsons (inc greats) and that's about it. As for the females, any female, family or not family can see her hair. But of course if she chooses to cover her hair in front of them that's totally her choice. And if she chooses not to cover her hair in front of anyone, that's also her choice.
I suggest if you wanna know more about Islam or Muslim traditions you either read books about them or Google from trusted sources because what Dina shows (unfortunately) isn't the total correct way of dressing up and stuff. Just saying.
That's your opinion of how hijab should be worn, and dina has a different way of wearing it. The quran says to mainly cover your chest area, your hair and your private parts with loose garments. So this is Dina's interpretation of the quranic teachings.
cathy king no problem! im glad you found this information useful :) one thing to note though, is that when i said a woman can choose NOT to cover her hair, thats my personal opinion. in Islam, its compulsory to cover your body in the ways i mentioned, if you are female. im not sure if theres a quranic reference that states that it is complusory, but thats what ive been told by my RS teacher at school and other older Muslims I know.

i'm glad you said that you'll be taking a break after the baby comes..because most women do not realize how physically and mentally exhausting it can be! Your priorities will just change and it takes time to adjust to 'mom' mode. Plus your hormones will be out of wack a couple months, so it's important to expect that and schedule some time off! p.s. my son also rolled around all over in my belly like that! I had sickness all throughout my pregnancy - it calmed down a little in the 2nd trimester, but boi did it come back with a vengeance in the 3rd! (I also threw up SO much just before I gave birth and straight after - t'was NOT pretty.)
Water births are amazing - do that, haha! But seriously, the pool is amazing and takes so much pressure off your body.
Also, Aqua natal classes are a godsend!

Having a girl here and have barely put any weight and only really around my belly. My cousin had boys and she put on a lot of weight everywhere when she was pregnant. I wouldn't read to much into old wives tales about gender predictions. Every woman and every pregnancy is different.
I've had 3 girls and was so neat, no weight on my face or arms. I don't think weight gain has anything to do with gender. It's just a coincidence most of the time :)
What my mom told me is that if u have a baby boy then ur stomach will be filled up from the bottom cuze they r heavy, while girls it will just be like a normal big stomach.

Towards the end of your third trimester, make sure you walk a lot this will help baby's to get his/her head in the correct position for your delivery.
Also, they will get you to fill out birth preference sheet but in all honesty it goes out the window when you head to hospital. I wanted a water birth but I had some complications and it wasn't meant to be.

It's okay if you don't know much about islamic practices.
Muslim women can show their hair to their family, i.e. Brothers, father, paternal and maternal uncles (including greats) grandpas (including greats), nephews, sons, grandsons (inc greats) and that's about it.
As for the females, any female, family or not family can see her hair.
But of course if she chooses to cover her hair in front of them that's totally her choice. And if she chooses not to cover her hair in front of anyone, that's also her choice.
I suggest if you wanna know more about Islam or Muslim traditions you either read books about them or Google from trusted sources because what Dina shows (unfortunately) isn't the total correct way of dressing up and stuff. Just saying.
That's your opinion of how hijab should be worn, and dina has a different way of wearing it. The quran says to mainly cover your chest area, your hair and your private parts with loose garments. So this is Dina's interpretation of the quranic teachings.

i'm glad you said that you'll be taking a break after the baby comes..because most women do not realize how physically and mentally exhausting it can be! Your priorities will just change and it takes time to adjust to 'mom' mode. Plus your hormones will be out of wack a couple months, so it's important to expect that and schedule some time off!
p.s. my son also rolled around all over in my belly like that! Towards the end weeks it'll be waking you up from your sleep if it hasn't already/1
