    When you started smacking the sh*t out of your sunglasses with your shoe, I knew this was gonna be a great video 👌🏻
    Thanks for posting!

    I forgot to mention in the video, but I always go stoveless in the backcountry. I don't cold soak either (yuk). Honestly, I like tortillas wrap meals better than noodle or rice meals, so for my taste the no cook strategy works really well. I don't drink coffee either. So, I have zero cookware. I hate cooking at home, and so I want to do it even less in the backcountry at the end of a long day. Saves weight by not having stove/gas/pots, saves time and hassle cooking and cleaning, saves on water. I understand this type of food strategy isn't for most hikers, but if you don't mind cold/no-cook meals, this is a GREAT way to go. What can I say, I'm a weirdo. Let me be weird.

    I really like your video, Z packs must not care about customers, especially the cost. Can’t beat Osprey’s guarantee and customer service.

      @@SeekingLost Isle Royale!
      I’m actually looking to get a long weekend in on the NCT up north somewhere if/when our sports schedule allows it.
      The hiker itch is real.

    Sorry to hear you had bad luck with Zpacks customer service. I have had amazing luck with them. Shout out to Carolyn :)

    Great loadout - I've been using the OPSak for the last 2 years and I agree that they really help with critters. Added to my Ursack or used in my tent in the desert section of the ICT (Idaho Centennial Trail) or in the high alpine areas of the Sawtooths and Whiteclouds where it is impossible to find a hang. Look forward to the BRT vids 😎👍🏼

      Seems like everywhere I hike, in any state, seems like a poor place to hang, haha. Just watched your Sawtooths video, beautiful and very well done. I subbed ya. Show us more!

    Nice workshop man!, Ive been eyeballing those trekking poles as my old black diamond ones (rubber grips) are starting to give up. The Cork grips sound nice

      Thanks! I used to have the Gossamer Gear LT4 poles, and loved the handles but kept snapping poles, they are pretty flimsy. So I got the BD poles and they've been solid. However, he original cork handles on the BD Alpine Caron Cork poles got chewed up by a mountain goat or a marmot. I was pretty pissed at the time, the poles were brand new. That was my inspiration for the GG LT4 cork handles though, and so glad it worked out that way

    You should look into a cnoc vecto bag, eliminates the larger bottle to have to use to fill the plat bag. Take a glance for $20 its life changing for the trail.

    Great behind the scenes gear video! That's unbelievable all that gear, less electronics, adds up to 12 lbs! Do you find not having a stove to be an issue of comfort or necessity? I think having a coffee, or hot dinner would make my day/night! Can't wait for the video release!

    • @SeekingLost

      I forgot to mention stove/cookware in the video. I'm just one of those people who hates cooking and cleaning dishes, but also, actually prefers tortilla wrap type meals over a lot of the typical noodle/rice hot meals. Not a coffee drinker either. So it just makes it easier for me to not bother with a stove. But I'm a weirdo in that way, so I know this isn't for everyone!

    Do the Patigonia boxers dry quickly? I have smartwool boxers that DO NOT dry quickly. Love my Patigonia Capeline Cool sun shirt tho so wondering if the boxers dry quick too.

    • @SeekingLost
      @SeekingLost  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a thicker fabric than the capilene shirts, so they don't dry out quite THAT fast. I wouldn't call them rapid drying, but adequate

    Is your backpack full to the brim with your gear plus supplies or was there a little space left?
    Thanks for the video

    • @SeekingLost
      @SeekingLost  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends. It's pretty full for a seven or eight day hike, but if you're only going out for three or four days, you'll have plenty of room left over

    I didn't see any cooking or eating equipment mate. Did you have anything to boil water and eat with?

    • @SeekingLost
      @SeekingLost  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup no cookware or stove. I forgot to mention that in the video. I just do tortilla wrap meals and keep it simple. Less gear to carry, no need to worry about fuel, no need to clean dishes, less smells in the air in bear country etc. I know this isn't going to work for everyone, but if you don't mind cold meals, man it makes life so much easier.

    You think you could have done this hike or the CDT with a hammock and not have to go to ground at all?

    • @SeekingLost
      @SeekingLost  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish, love hammocks, but no way! Definitely not Nevada. much of the cdt can be done in a hammock, but it's so limiting, not worth the hassle imo
