Bathroom is so pretty. Turned out amazing.
You really nailed the details here. Painting the entire bath surround white beautifully masks that tile strip (not a fan of those), and the beams tie the room to the rest of your home. But, my favorite thing is the mirror. I'm so happy you brought back the old one! It looks like it was original to the space; it just needed a bit of a facelift. Deepening the green you used on the walls was the perfect color. I know one day you'll revisit this room to make it over once again but, for now it is much improved. For now. ~ Lisa
The best way to decorate is to follow your instincts and you did. I too thought the tile in the shower needed to be painted white although I was dreading it for you. LOL! But it turned out beautiful. Returning the original mirror was perfect as it fit the space just right. I LOVE the floor and wish I had the energy to do so in my bathroom. I love your style and vision and your charming way of sharing your ups and downs, frustrations and successes. Love your home and this bathroom is so very lovely! God bless.

I love how you understand competing colors. I lay out all the paint, door, flooring, ceiling, light fixtures, door hardware, curtain rods, curtains, artwork colors including the fabrics on the furniture out to see how they flow and compliment each other. It is very important to me for items in my rooms have meaning in my family. I also plan on having a different clocks from different eras in each room. Found my first clock, a mantel clock and I want a cuckoo clock in my kitchen because my Great Grandparents whom passed away before I was born had one. My living room is going to have a roaring 20's vibe, dining room Victorian, kitchen Old Dutch, and my bedroom is modern/feng shui. My Dining room is very feminine and I want my living room to be very masculine.
These are such great methods, thank you so much for sharing them all with me! I will have to keep these in mind!

I have a window in my 1928 shower. But my bath was never updated. So the wood around
the window constantly rotted. I found some white wide window vinyl stock and used vinyl
fence nails to finally seal that window frame, after 88 years of a problem! .
