@@aloha_lax It comes down to who is able to play and practice the most. Sometimes that's poor kids because they have no other options and all of their friends in the poor neighborhood play. So they play all day. This is the case in many countries like Brazil and France and countries in Africa.
But in America the poor kids are usually playing basketball at the local park. And the kids playing soccer are from the suburbs, so they sign up at a club and mom has to drive them and it's totally different; if they have more wealth then the parent pays for more training.

I'll give it to Alessandro. He's good. As a defender, i can tell that it would be quite difficult to defend him. I know he's got all these fancy soccer basements and private coaches and stuff that other people dont have, and i also realize that part of his both feet skill couldve been luck, but you've gotta give it to him. He's worked hard for the skill he has, and there's no undermining that, even if he did have access to resources others hadn't.

So basically, if there was a kid somewhere in a foreign country equally skilled (or even better), there is a good chance that this kid here will get spotted bc of his financial support and clout, and your average foreign footballer would probably get very few to no opportunities at all in their entire lives.
It's sad that money dictates how much freedom one has.

Its amazing how much liberal media has brainwashed people to think that rich people have everything come easy to them and everyone else is f*****. The majority of great soccer players come from poor backgrounds. If anything, i would argue coming from money and playing in the goofy US travel leagues hurts players because they dont get to practice the creativity and ball skils they would if they were playing with friends as often the great players do growing up. I have a friend who coaches a mostly hispanic high school around Chicago and these kids are 5x as talented with ball skills as the district i played in growing up. And our district had probably half the schools coming from affluent areas.

His social background doesn’t matter. What is going to make this kid a professional soccer player is his desire and tenacity for the game.

The coach telling his dad he's goin to make it to the top is good business sense to collect dad's money. At 12 years old you have no idea what he will become later. This could be his ceiling right now.. While the other 12 year olds on his team are still developing and could become better natural athletes who are more gifted physically. Not one mention of his grades on here, and thats the saddest part of this video.

Yes this kid is good, a HUGE part of playing football is defending. I play soccer I'm a goalie in my varsity team since freshman year, now entering jounor year and was a goalie on jv team 8th grade year. I also play defender on the team. I've played since I started walking, didn't have much money to go to camps or even have an indoor field in my basement, I played using Shorewood, box anything I would see. So I know a pot about the sport. What this kid needs is defending the ball, without that your done

This kid is going places- As an ex-pro in the late 90`s I know how much dedication it takes, not only as a player but as parents, if it hadnt been for my parents driving me around the country I would never have played for Wimbledon and then later Leicester City. He has the right attitude, just needs to fill out a bit and stay focused on the end goal- Europe, The Premier League, and Man Utd
