thank you so much! im working with my own software. as a small time vendor, i have to budget my consumables. i use your formula as my based, but i have added some margin taking from what happening on site. depending on the machine and some tolerance, as welders spend electrode differently. weird thing is, some are effecient some are not 😭 but again thanks alot.

In cross section area, as my opinion is (RXF) +(T-F) ^2 X Tan deg/2 because you are multiplying two times in area. Pls confirm.
