While invincibility lasts only a little more than 10 seconds in TWOC, that game allows you to extend its lenght as you get more Aku Aku masks even before invincibility runs out. There's very few Crash Bandicoot games that let you do that so far
Although I highly appreciate the detail the developers went for Crash 4, in regards to this video they kept the same timing for the masks for the first three games and still kept that for Crash 4, this is something that I’ve always pondered why it was never added.. rather than standing around for the mask to run out then use again 😂
How many cases though aku aku boxes are placed as close as as 10 seconds apart
@@azoz273 A few occasions. It usually happens in time trials because there are at least one or two Aku Aku crates and areas where you need to sacrifice masks or be invincible in order to get through the level faster. Also, in TWOC you keep all your masks when time trials start, so chances are you might get your third mask even earlier than intended.
Is that a cheat? Maybe, but the game just lets you do that so easily it's hardly the player's fault

From what i can remember getting extra mask also reset the timer in the OG trilogy
I love the genius sound design of switching the beat up slightly at exactly 3 seconds before it ends so you can be ready for it to go away

aku aku in twinsanity: best i can do is 8 seconds and i dont even protect you from tnt or nitro crates TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT😠

titans doesn't let you move while using it tho, only dodge
Aku aku in titans isn't even invincibility it only blocks light attacks as heavy and power attacks do full damage with knock down effect ...... so does it meet the criteria to be on this list? as don't protect you from environmental hazards like lava that lava proof enemies can walk through don't protect you from moving hazards like saw blades and only really blocks damage from 1 attack class type

The short duration of invincibility in Twinsanity is the least of the problems. The invincibility could last even 1 hour but it wouldn't change anything since it's totally useless.
yeah i think it's due to short development time, i tested it on nitro and was disappointed by being killed instead of just passing through

Unfortunately the invincibility ended up being nerfed even in Twinsanity, it lasts a short time and does not protect against TNT and Nitro.

Not protecting against nitro and TNT was necessary for them to have fun with making deadly puzzles for getting gems.

Crash 1, 2 and 3 have puzzles where the mask can't help but still protect against TNT and Nitro.
Even in the prototype version of the game the mask protects against TNT and Nitro.

0:09 in Crash Twinsanity, they have nerfed the Aku Aku invincibility time. Also you can't kill enemies with a single touch anymore and you're not invincible with the Nitro or TNT, what a sad... So the Aku Aku invincibility in Crash Twinsanity is pretty useless... Even if you got 2 Aku Aku to protect you or 3 to make you be invincible, you can't even survive the Nitro or TNT, this is BS...

Crash 3 Warped Invincibility is my Number 1 favorite.
Technically, you did miss the CTR versions of invincibility, but then it just means you missed other games' versions of invincibility as well.
And uka uka invincibility and his bad ass music in ctr
Pity in nitro fueled the made the song the same no matter which mask the original ctr good had a song and evil had a different song and multiple masks made it play longer till it got to the song loop point
But the evil song was great its like ha ha I got this now im coming for you as if it's the theme song for players that want to use mask power up aggressively and ram others and not just a shield
Now, the real question is what does the Aku Aku say when you collect him 🤔

Hi everybody. My favorite mask is one that works longer than 20 seconds, for example, so that it works longer than an hour and two hours.

Infelizmente, já não basta o aku-aku ter o tempo menor de invencibilidade, a máscara não protege contra TNT e Nitro e destrói as caixas e os inimigos automaticamente, e nem tem música de invencibilidade.
Por sorte estou trabalhando num mod que faz o aku-aku do Twinanity funcionar igual aos jogos antigos de PS1.

The e in Warped isn't pronounced since it's a word in the past tense, so its supposed to sound more like warpd
And the letter N doesn't have an ee sound after it in English so it sounds like en. N. sane is supposed to be pronounced en sane... like insane, get it? That's why the island is called N. Sanity island... insanity island

Woah twinsanity has worst aku aku invincibility with no music, 8 second and doesnt kill enemies nor break crates but it says at least have little lore about himself with lines of "call me 3 times and I shall grant you great power" I think. Its unique one in franchise. Its not original nor remake/remaster but at least it has great plot point with interesting type of manners
But not only, Aku Aku can't even protect you against Nitro crates or TNT and even if you have 2 Aku Aku or 3 to make you be invincible, you still die instantly with the Nitro crates and TNT, so yeah, it's a BS... Because Aku Aku is his unique and main role to protect Crash Bandicoot...
