Crash 4 invincibility is very, very rare. I kept dying on purpose just to get 2 masks and go invincible with the third being some random Aku Aku crate in some levels. They could have at least made the masks carry over from level to level
Come to think of it, you're right, they are rare. Looking back, I've hardly had any invincibility masks in Crash 4.
Not only that...the aku-aku in crash 4 doesn't protect you from everything, in the old games, the aku-aku protected you from spikes and other things that can kill the player, but in Crash 4, spikes kill the player in hour, same as Twinsanity.

@@tsyumamatsuthehavenofguard32 They did this in Twinsanity because you could use the mask to get through the puzzles without too much difficulty, but this was nerfed in such a crappy way that it made the mask useless.

It's undoubtedly that the Aku-Aku in the first games was the most powerful.
Just as he currently is in the N. Same Trilogy. A pity they nerfed Aku Aku with the release of Crash 4: It’s About Time.

@@noname-jt6kl Not only did they nerf the Aku-Aku making him almost never usable in Crash 4 It's About Time levels, they also made the Aku-Aku not protect against everything, there are things in Crash 4 that can kill Crash even when he is with the invincibility.

Nitro can still kill you even when you’re “invincible” in Twinsanity.
I think it’s so you actually do the puzzles and don’t just plow through the nitro

@@traktor420 i'm talking about the entire game, it was made with short time, and as a final product, it got a lot of issues like glitches, flat and very basic mechanics and puzzles, etc.

Crash 4 fits the best of the mask power, because these masks represents an entity that protects people or has his own will, so this invencibility power must make the enemies fear crash, making the mask glowing eyes and make wild expressions fits good even with the music.

Twinsanity was the first Crash game i ever played. I remember getting the "invicibility" power and wondering: "Wait, is this the invincibility power? Just like in the Mario games?" then i ran into an enemy and nothing happened and i simply thought: "No it's not. What's even the point of this thing?"
I feel bad that you missed out on the early games and were introduced through Twinsanity, the most confusing and weakest game of the original timeline.

It's sad to know that aku aku's invincibility was nerfed and serves to protect against enemies in Crash Twinsanity, and the annoying thing is that it wasn't a bug, or lack of time, because in the demo version of the game, aku-aku protects from TNT and Nitro only when you get three masks becoming invincible.
I'm making a mod for the game Crash Twinsanity, in which aku aku protects from TNT and Nitro and plays the invincibility songs from N.Sane Trilogy.
They chose to not make it protect you from TNTs so you couldn't just use Aku Aku to skip some of the puzzles for the gems.
Probably was done for a reason lol
If there was invincibility from nitros then you would get all gems without even doing anything
they did it so you would actually play the game accordingly

Wrath of Cortex version was really weak and the Twinsanity one I could never even tell I was in invisibility mode, not just because no theme plays but because a lot of the time the enemies would still harm me...?
It has always irked me a lot that there are some missing notes in the new theme. My favourite version will always be original Warped.
