- This is my 3d floorplan dashboard build in Home Assistant's Picture Elements card, installed on a wall mounted tablet. I build this floorplan because I got tired of searching and installing a specific app, whenever I want to control a specific device; every time again
Overall, this video is designed to provide a detailed overview of my smarthome dashboard in Home assistant. By showcasing my setup, I hope to inspire others to create their own 3d floorplan and explore the possibilities of home automation.

- Rendered with Enscape
- Edited with photoshop
- (some of the) animated gifs are created in After Effects

Thanks for al the great reactions on my dashboard! I have received a lot of requests about some specific configurations or tutorials on techniques i used.
I have been working working on those but it takes way more time than i thought.. Please know I am currently traveling on the other side of the world, but will continue to get those requests answered when I am back home..I think most of the questions can be answered when i manage to upload my repo to github. So that will be my first priority when i am back. :)

this is the most impressive "off the shelf" version of a digital twin ive seen online! even compared to nvidia and other enterprise examples of digital twins, which never show a real life implementation! amazing work!

HA should ask u to use this video as ads!!! What amazing Job, the best video I've seen. We (users) have so many questions, could you answer some; 1. What kind of hub did you use (mipc, ha green 😂, so on) 2. Could we tell us what devices did you use? (Cameras reolink, aeotec switch zwave, sonoff light switch, so on). Thanks for the kind words. I am working on a a couple of tutorials. And learning on how to publish my repo to github. but it takes a bit more time than I calculated. Definitely planned for Q1 this year
The end result is definitely the perfect example of how a dashboard should look like.

Amazing job on this. I'm just getting started with Home Assistant so this seems like a pipe dream currently but I'm loving the experimenting so far. Can I ask what control you used for controlling your lights? The slider that also pops out with a colour picker.

Wow indeed very impressive.... I would like to see how you did style this in sketchup... Did you load existing 3D components from a library and added these in your drawing? it is super realistic.... Can you show how you did that?
Thanks! Yes, 85-90 % of the 3d models were existing components. Most I downloaded from the 3d warehouse (These are all free from community. ) and I also took a few from the included library of Enscape. So like 10% of the models I made myself but that took me way too much time 😅
I am not planning on doing specific SketchUp tutorials because I think there is already great variety of sketchup tutorials on YT from people with way more expertise than I have :)
Take a look at 'TheSketchUpEssentials' for example.
I may do one video about some specific rendering settings you need to follow, for getting best results with your floorplan though. Especially the coloured lights took me quite a bit of time to get right.

thnx! die gifs heb ik zelf gemaakt in after effects. Of nouja "zelf"...
Zoek bijvoorbeeld op YT op " green screen stock footage [+ wat je wilt animaten ]
"Replace color" van groen naar zwart, en exporteer dat als GIF .
In je picture elements-card. plaats je dan een conditional afbeelding met
style:
mix-blend-mode: lighten
Maar ik kan de gifs ook naar je opsturen als je wilt. Laat maar weten!
