If Nintendo made Nintendo Switch 1 games non backwards compatible in carts, than they’d lose a lot of money. Nintendo Switch 2 should be backwards compatible because of NSO being backwards compatible.
Tbh i would be a little bit disappointed if the back triggers on the joy cons really are just the detach buttons.. Also it would be kinda weird then why this buttons are so much bigger than on the current switch, and why they are placed exactly so you can use them very comfortable and easy while playing Like do we really need to detach our joy cons THAT efficiently while playing in handheld mode? I really hope theres more behind them Imagin playing totk with extra buttons and not having to slam your right stick around when you wanna unfuse something with the ultrahand But lets see in january🤞

If this is it. I think Nintendo is doing a big mistake. How will they market this? The only thing new is more power but they dont want to enter "power war" with sony/microsoft. Will people understand that this is the next system and not just a pro version? It is way to big for kids so they wont sell many to families I would say. Hardcore games will love it I guess but is that enough?
Who said kids have to have the switch in there hand to play, just pull out the stand put it on top of something and let the kids use a controller that fits, problem solved
I definitely want a bigger screen since i still have the OG switch. But i would love an almost borderless screen. Also if that is a microphone on the top I believe it would be best to be nowhere near the vents as the noise from the vents would bleed over to it as your chatting i feel like.
Super Nintendo Switch will also have a physical lockout notch similar to the DS to 3DS. So, Switch games will be playable on both, but Super Nintendo Switch titles only on the SNS.

The electro magnetic joycon sounds a little like bulls^it. A simple magnetic door lock takes 3amp. That seems a little detrimental to battery life. Edit : I could be wrong , I would love to see how tf they manage that.
I think it’s more likely just a strong magnet with a release. If it was running off of the battery, the joycons would fall right off the sides if the battery died. As comical as that would be, I imagine Nintendo doesn’t want that. That said, providing enough power to hold joycons in place would surely only take a fraction of the power a door lock does. Side note, I hate those magnetic doors. I worked in security for a long time and they are never really secure. I used to demonstrate forcing the doors open by hand in front of clients and they were always totally unaffected. Their funeral 🤷♂️

the hole next to the airvents is where the screw goes to assemble the console, the microphone is to the right of the game slot

The electro magnetic joycon sounds a little like bulls^it. A simple magnetic door lock takes 3amp. That seems a little detrimental to battery life.

I think it’s more likely just a strong magnet with a release. If it was running off of the battery, the joycons would fall right off the sides if the battery died. As comical as that would be, I imagine Nintendo doesn’t want that. That said, providing enough power to hold joycons in place would surely only take a fraction of the power a door lock does.
Side note, I hate those magnetic doors. I worked in security for a long time and they are never really secure. I used to demonstrate forcing the doors open by hand in front of clients and they were always totally unaffected. Their funeral 🤷♂️
