    I still think this one deserves no 1! The mirror creating the illusion of the water is fantastic! It created such a fairyland feel! I think the fishes would be grateful to stay in this fairyland for their whole life! 😀

    This is such a great composition. I really enjoy even just looking at it. Your videos on this subject were very enlightening and well planned and presented without being repetitive as many "explanatory" videos can be. I didn't miss it being a videographic masterpiece at all and you kept me in rapt attention throughout all 3 videos. For the moment, I only have one question - how did you get the ripple effect in the "water" at the top center of the scene? Thanks for sharing this!

      @@SteveScapesYT Thanks man! Lots of super glue and cigarette filters and egg crate! I loved some of the tips you gave in that green aqua video with the water proof duct tape how scapers need to develop their own methods and tricks to make a nice tank. It’s so true and is part of the fun. The hardest part I’m having with the contest tank is the focal point all you guys use. I have a hard time picking a spot and building around it.

    Still using the ADA Solar I? Is that a conscious choice or just what's lying around/used to?

    • @SteveScapesYT
      @SteveScapesYT  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I actually used a Maxlite Pro and two Solar I’s. This mostly has to do with availability of lights and arms, with my other Maxlite Pro needed to light my old 120x45x45 grow out tank.

    What algae do the the mollies pick on? The hair types? And what type of mollies did you get?

    • @SteveScapesYT
      @SteveScapesYT  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mostly the brown algae near the starting phase. That’s what they and the Amano’s are best at taking out- but they’ll pick at the others as well. Most livebearers do, but Mollies are to guppies what Amano’s are to cherries. lol

    You placed pumice stone as sort of a filler material for the excess space in the tank. Based on your explanation, they can maybe used as a biomedia filter. Can I do that? Is it safe to use pumice as biomedia filter?

    • @SteveScapesYT
      @SteveScapesYT  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually have, and do have some pumice in my filter for that purpose and it works just fine. I imagine it’s not as efficient as professionally designed media, but it’s definitely effective enough when on a tight budget.
