i have kind of gotten hooked on watching all different kind of monkeys but I have to say that I believe these are the cutest Ive seen. The snow monkeys are also cute. Guess I have to say I love all the babies. You are all commended for the efforts you extend to help these little orphan babies. I have an adopted daughter and kind of relate to these little orphans.
I'm obviously obsessed with these monkeys now I think I've watched every one of the videos from the beginning. 😆 lol lol lol And loved every min .. Thank you all for taking such good care of them ❤ they are very special animals ❤ Its weird to me that anyone could be so hateful to them .
When you have an econ report, but you're too burnt out to care about knowing how the government uses the money they sto-I mean "acquired" and would much rather watch these babies.
I literally just clicked off another video to watch this. haha and saw it was for a reminder. oh well, can't wait. Now I'll go back to watch a video on organizing my fridge. hahaha

Apparently I missed something in a previous video. Leo and Freya were released together, but without mothers????? NEITHER of them had bonded with anyone?? But they weren't tried out with other troupes either? (I don't recall a Vera story going on with them...) I guess I need to go re-watch things because I'm confused... (Are the 2 of them older? I can't remember... Is that why they didn't get mothers?)
Sometimes the babies don't bond with a particular mom and they just bond with the troop and everything is fine. It's not a big deal and sometimes it happens but the troop still cares for them.

Have you ever seen a male taking care of a baby like a mother would .. I know it isn't natural but nothing is impossible i guess that would be so cool of they did
Sometimes they are kind to the babies and become friends and groom them and let them sit with them but its not the same as a mom with hugging and all that.
Could staff increase interpreting the monkey focalizations for it seems when I think I understand one, later I find out how wrong I was, the same with their signs.
What do you mean "foster mother"? Have these moms lost their babies? Can the babies suckle the milk they still need from these mothers and form a natural bond?

Sometimes babies don't bond with a particular mother. The point of the foster mom program isn't to get babies a mom, the point is simply to get them out into the troop. So the idea is to get them acclimated so that the troop accepts them, they have friends and protection and can survive, moms are just an added bonus, but especially when the babies are older they are less likely to bond with any individual females.

Volunteers are always learning and sometimes they don't know why something doesn't work unless they make the mistake themselves.
