    Dude, I picked up so many tips from this video. Just informative all around to watch someone take these things apart. And zip ties are clutch for damn near everything!! Keep the vids coming.

      Oh man, pretty much all of them. Definitely want to do your Oil Filter Housing one. These cars are super needy so good luck. I ended up doing this oil pan again in about 40K miles. It wasn't bad but it had started leaking a bit again.

    You cant remove the subframe on the 135?

    • @BimmerTV
      @BimmerTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can, I haven't seen this in a long time so I'm not sure why you would ask that.

    Sucks that the video is more about a guy rather than a repair worthless

    Are the control arm bolts re-usable when putting everything back together?

    Sumps should be tightened corner to corner

      This shop was in Nashua NH. Jeff and his partner then opened an official shop in Pelham, New England Speed Factory which has since moved to Newton NH.

    We're working hard to get better at making these videos and I've bought 4 GoPros and a DSLR in the last less than 2 years so things will keep improving! Thanks for tuning in!

    With 40 years of owning and maintaining vehicles including MG's, Triumps, Jaguars, Z-cars, I've NEVER, EVER had to replace a freeking oil pan gasket unless I did an engine rebuild. Now, my cheap assed 128i needs one at 84k miles at 1000 bucks to have it done. This is a great video and shows exactly why BMW's SUCK! NOTHING is simple except a fat wallet!

      Lol, they sure are needy! Glad you found the video helpful! Mine has actually started to leak again already the tiniest bit. We're going to be replacing the rod bearings very soon and will be putting in another new OPG when we do.

    Do you know if it's the same process for the n55 135i?

      Pretty much yes.

      @@dudedue987theman This was actually filmed last winter so I'm not exactly sure. Probably in the 3 hour range is what I'm thinking. Time starts to blur when doing jobs like this lol.

    • @dudedue987theman
      @dudedue987theman 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh ok not bad at all I'll have around 12 hours of lift time to do the job.

      @@dudedue987theman If you're fairly familiar with these cars that should be plenty. Most of the time consuming bit is removing suspension components as I'm sure you're aware. Good luck!
