A nice reminder that there are only a few basic ingredients to the core recipe. That kick, monologue xd baseline and Roland melody was solid. Everything else was icing.

Great video as always. I just got the Aira S-1. It`s limited in sound design but you can get pretty much do all classic synths sounds very easily and the sequencer its very inspiriting, but my Circuit Tracks its still better for sequencing live. Now my setup its Bass Station 2, Circuit Tracks, S-1 and Modal Skulpt(both sharing the same channel in Circuit Tracks).
Now I`m looking to change my Skulpt for something that had the same sound design capability but with a better filter and no issue with usb powering.

I’m going in with the circuit tracks soon. Sounds like you have a solid setup

Nice that you keep experimenting with new setups and approaches, but with the key principles in mind!

Amazing. I have had this device for a while now. It's crazy how you have programmed the exact same melody on your J6 as I have! 😂😂

I love how the Faderfox is exactly the same width as the Octatrack. Almost like it was made for it 😀

Great tutorial and hands on workflow.

Side note. I just bought an Electra one MK2 midi controller. I was about to get the FF MX or PC 12 but found the E1 along the way in my search. Touch screen, totally programmable midi controller. It’s brings new life to old synths.

I'm gonna investigate... Touchscreens suck though with wet fingers and that is what happens when I play out

I could probably make melodic house with some pvc pipes, a saw and some random stuff to hit for drums lol. Analog++

26:36 bruv. PVC pipes and flip flops lol.
I like this sound. It reminds me of disco yet without being lame lol.

@@AnalogKitchen I have to finish my found object percussion kit first lol. Blue Man Group and brasilian percussionists can do the melodic pvc pipe instruments lol.

4:26 I dont want to sound like one of those "play piano in 1 day" adverts....yet tbh, I can kinda teach everything I know about how to play the keys in a week or less. Then all that is required is a very small amount of muscle memory.
Keys played with 2 hands is difficult for a different reason...bass notes/chords + melody + rhythm all at once. That virtuoso skill is not required for solid dj solo mode, or loop station and remix styles.

    • @AnalogKitchen
      @AnalogKitchen  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

But anything can be accomplished with time, effort and patience. People don’t want to put the time in

@@AnalogKitchen There is a scene from that film "Moneyball" that is kinda awesome. The scene is basically a David Fincher pseudo-montage and brad pitt playing the real person Billy Bean is saying something like: "It's a process. It's a process."
That concept of drilling in small and incremental improvements for a long term goal is not something that is innate for most people. That is why coaches, trainers, educators and non-insane motivational speaker type peopled are very valuable to this world. We need to be reminded that most things worth doing...they take time, skills and patience.
