Damn, good looking, just got myself a 16 backtroller and was looking for a way not to drill the gunnel for cleats and rod holders for my trolling. Thanks a bunch!
Thanks so much for this video. .I have this same problem...I didn't know such rails existed ...I cant buy them in Ireland but after watching I can certainly fabricate them myself...thanks so much for your help 🙈🙉🙊
I see this is 4 years old, and I know you have changed boats - just considering this narrow gunnel system for my older Lowe. Question is would you go this route again ? Thanks for your very informative programs
I have a Lowes boat with exact same side rails. I will look into getting this. I bought a Walker mini laker downrigger but with out wooden blocks it won't sit well on the side rails. I'm going to try this setup with different downrigger.
are you going to place your down rigger that far back? I would think you would want it more center that way you can reach it from the steering wheel and not have to step around the back decking.
how sturdy is the track after having a ball deep in the water? have you had a snag that stressed the track out yet, like how you mentioned in the video it mounted to the wood board? I'm wanting to put one on my versa track will be mounted a little different, I was worried about stress. have you used your drag system to help this problem by losing it just a little? thanks

@@AaronSprague1 I move it around. Slide it up closer when using it.

Is there a safety feature to keep poles from accidentally exiting the rocket launcher?
I have the same question.
Yes, The keeper straps on the end of the rod holder wrap around your rod and hold your rod securely, and easily come off when there is a fish on.
After using for a year how are you liking this set up? I’m looking to possibly add to my boat. Thanks for the information
It’s awesome
What keeps a big fish from heading straight out from the boat and pulling your rod right out of that holder?
I think this question is the same as the first question asked on this video - check the answer below.
Solves the problem,looks great!
I went TraxsTech this year and was impressed with the quality. I didn't see you put the endcaps on the tracks they dress up the ends nicely.
No but I have them now.
@@mainetroutwhisperer hey again. the end cap also can be screwed to the track or just push in?
@@robertduklus6555 that screws in! Def would recommend them
@@mainetroutwhisperer thanx mate
I searched for those clamps and I can’t find anything that attaches to the gunnel. You dint have that posted
Go right to Traxtech website.
@@mainetroutwhisperer better yet call them and ask them if they have clamps for your style of boat
What brand and year is your boat
2005 polarcraft
Main concern would be the stability for the down riggers
It’s very very stable. We also have a Lund and i mouth the same riggers to the Lund track. It’s just a stable if not more than that
But you do need a longer track to add stability
Trick setup!
Thanks for video. Traxstech seems unavailable.

The best no. Not even close to Cisco fishing systems
Doesn’t look like they make a mount for the older boat with no track systems…
Cisco makes some solid stuff but it's different as far as holders. Each company is unique. Dumb comment. Their tubes aren't comparable
Stop hitting things with your hand, really annoying.
