I painted that during an art show at a place called San Carlos building (501 texas st El Paso TX). I remember doing that Hemsley piece soon after he died. I can't remember if someone took that board for me or if I already had it at the venue but it doesn't fit in my car so I left it at the place. Its good to see it has life again I have a bunch of pieces like it collecting dust at my house that are not being seen. Ty for posting 🙂
My hometown...as I recall, this place used to be on Doniphan Dr. (former US Route 80/85, now Texas Hwy 20). There was also an architectural salvage place in the old Globe Mills grain mill (down by UTEP/the Mexican border) that was slowly tearing down the old mill, brick by brick. TxDOT ended up buying the property and finishing the demolition job for a "Transportation Improvement" project. P.S. Sherman Hemsely moved to El Paso to retire from acting, and was a prominent citizen until he died.
Sherman Hemsley died in El Paso.. He Used to live there. Cool video man! Been by there a lot, but never stopped. Gotta grab some fresh bread from the State Line BBq joint.. not too far away from there
Omg I live right next to it!😅😅it’s funny because both Mexico’s are right across the street😭😂 New Mexico and Mexico 😂 wait you said you might leave with some of that junk so did you?
I have over a thousand VHS tapes that I still watch. People know I actually still watch them, so they give them to me free. Also a few back up VCRs to watch them on. Largest I received at 1 time were 78 Disney movies from my cousin. My 7 year old daughter took all of those. When I kick it she'll have tons of antique technology. Albums the floor model stereo and rack unit to play them on. 8 tracks, walkman multiple kinds cassette & CD. My brother told me coming to my house is like going back to his youth. Walking down memory lane. May or may not be valuable to some, but worth a fortune to me. I could spend days in a place like you just showed us. Even if I didn't buy a single thing. Awesome video VB.
My aunt owns this place and I sell earrings and bracelets at the front desk take a look. Also my uncle All does antique car repairs. I wish you could have talked a little nicer about the prices, But thank you for noticing my family's small business.
I’d love to see that Coke machine in your garage lol you have the best taste in everything your interior design is the best the inside of your home is amazing I’m not sure if it was your old home or your new home but thought I remembered seeing red velvet wallpaper in your home GOD BLESS YOU BUDDY AND YOUR FAMILY
I've seen this place since I was a teenager my God I'm 58 years old and I've never been there thank you I will be there real soon thank you right under my nose.
Always thought it was a junk yard. We go to camping world (nearby) from time to time and never in the 30 plus years we've been in El Paso have we ever stopped by. Now we have too!!
Cool place. You should get the Bigfoot to stand in the trees by your pool looking over the wall. lol Heyyyyy.....my friend travels to swap meets and places like this all the time and he has an Alien that looks just like those outside. Gotta find out if he got it there! Quite the coke "stash" there😁
I was there earlier this year. If you love $#!+ IT'S HERE! They cornered the market on wood stoves and ovens. Easy to spend hours there. Didn't buy anything, they're proud of everything. If your building a cabin this is the place to get your vintage stuff. Archutectural reclamation.
I. Gonna have to visit that place next year when I go to Corpus Christi to visit my little brother. I’m thinking of buying Christine 1958 Plymouth Fury the greatest car ever. My wife is not happy with the 17 cars I own now lol I’m gonna have to sell one to get my dream car Christine 1958 Fury. Hey stay safe buddy and GOD BLESS MAYBE SOMEDAY I’LL GET TO CROSS OFF ONE THING ON MY BUCKET LIST MEETING YOU
Did you buy that CED player? Had one growing up! That arcade game was a kit you could place into other cabinets. I don’tvknow shat that cabinet was though. Looks like an Exidy Venture cabinet of some sort. Cool old pinball machine too. If I was closer I woulda saved them both!
Bob, did you get the CED player? I've been looking for one for a while. How much was it? I have a great collection is CED I'd like to watch again. Amazing video.
Hey Bob hope you brought your wife to go shopping lol this is a place I could totally see you buying things to decorate your house. Have you made any new vehicles from the Ghost Busters franchise with the new movie 🎥 being released. Do you remember Lonnie Hammargren from Pawn Stars this is probably where he got a lot of his collection lol this is why I like you because your different your unique not like anyone else. You are a very smart young man please forgive me I was under the impression you were older than you are I thought you where around the same age as Rick Harrison around my age 56. GOD BLESS YOU BUDDY AND YOUR WIFE YOUR A GENIUS YOU HAVE SOME EXTREME TALENT THE THINGS YOU MAKE YOU BUILD IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING LOL I REMEMBER THE REVIEW YOU DID ON THE MARSHALL AFTER YOU MADE THE VIDEO I WENT OUT AND BOUGHT ONE THAT WEEKEND. YOU HAVE THE BEST TASTE IN THINGS FROM THE BLUETOOTH SPEAKER TO WATCHES TO FOOTWEAR AND NOT TO MENTION YOU AND I LOVE YES LOVE GENE SIMMONS THE JEWISH KING THE GREATEST MUSICIAN BESIDES OZZY I COULD KEEP WRITING ABOUT YOU ALL DAY YOU HAVE MY RESPECT ALWAYS AND FOREVER GOD BLESS YOU BUDDY AND YOUR FAMILY
Great resource for Hollywood set designers, but your right, this stuff will end up in landfills somewhere down the line. These places are always overpriced, makes you wonder if the owners are sellers or hoarders.
It really does make you wonder, as I've gone into fair number of antique stores/malls in my travels across the southeast, and I've seen some stuff I would love to own like for example I went to one several years ago outside of Charleston SC, and they had a 3 or 4 foot tall stone painted Pac Man statue with the ghost around it(I collect Pac Man games, and merch), but I could have bought a used car for what they wanted for the damn thing, and it looked like it had been sitting there for years. I tried to offer the lady running the place the $200 I had in my pocket, but nope would not budge.
Agreed, as it even kind of creeps me out when I go through my coin collection(a good chunk was left by my step father, and grandparents) from time to time, and I come across the Nazi coins my grandfather brought back from WWII, as he was a US Army anti-aircraft gunner in Dover England, and one time they shot down a German plane which crashed near their gun site, and so naturally they took most of the pilots belongings before taking him as a POW, and my grandfather got his money, and parachute(he gave it to one of the local ladies so they could make stockings from it).
Oh my GOD thank you for letting me know about that place I’m definitely gonna visit that place next year then I’m gonna come by your house lol F-- Mike Wolfe we boycotted that show because of what he did to Frank Fritz
They just hire prop shop. to make non working replicas. Too heavy to carry around an old washer for a movie set. Prop shops hace actual blue prints to make a non working model and much cheaper and lighter
Fun fact: for those of you who don't know. Sherman Hemsley lived here in el paso Texas. West side. You could go into Wal mart and see him and his wife.

I've lived in El Paso for 60 years and never knew this place existed. Guess I'll go check it out.

Between westway and Anthony TX. I've been living here in this area for 22 years. 4 miles away from this place and I've never stopped by
Sherman Helmsley lived in El Paso until he died. Buried in El Paso with other soldiers on Fort Bliss.
That’s the BEST store you featured yet - Millions of dollars in that place
“Homer, is this the way you pictured married life?”
“Yeah, pretty much, except we drove around in a van solving mysteries.”
Love it! Been there many times!
I saw you on pawn stars and now you were in my home town... awesome!
Awe I live in El Paso! Hope you stop by again sometime! I know that place, I've lived here all my life and I've never actually gone to that shop 😂

Sherman Hemsley lived in El Paso. Died at 74 in July 2012.
I remember
He’s buried in the military cemetery
My mom worked for the lawyer that was handling Mr. Hemsly's estate when he passed.

Bob we have a store like this in ocean city Maryland. Called the gallery pretty cool
Bet Maryland house kitsch can't touch the stuff that comes out of big houses, farms, ranches, and businesses in El Paso.
Congrats on getting out with your funds intact, Bob! And not even dirtying up the Mystery Machine!
So many unanswered questions ~ we need those answers in part 2 please
Bob, those gates are for sale! Might look great at your compound!
Man I have to go there it looks amazing
Hey Videobob 👋 If you get the Hearst you can make a Boothill Express Hot Rod out of it, to add to your car collection 🙂
I may have to take a road trip. I live in a 1905 Victorian house. Always looking antiques and unique items. I’d be in there for days !
This looks like a really fun place to pick, even if prices are retail on most I bet there's something in it overlooked
Oh wow I have a picture of my kids with the van in a suburb outside of Chicago years ago.
Always thought it was a junk yard. We go to camping world (nearby) from time to time and never in the 30 plus years we've been in El Paso have we ever stopped by. Now we have too!!
Same!!!! El paso native never been in there I think it was a hoarders house lol

You're right about the bad juju, i said the same thing when I came across a German army folding dagger and sheeth among junk sale. not my cup of tea.

@@CooZeHounD45-47 u like to sit on what again?
So did u buy anything? Did u get the alien lol
I got dizzy AF, camera’s in high exposure bro
Maybe Holloywood studios will buy them to re create certain scenes in a movie.
They just hire prop shop. to make non working replicas. Too heavy to carry around an old washer for a movie set. Prop shops hace actual blue prints to make a non working model and much cheaper and lighter
You kept moving the camera so fast. It was making me dizzy 🥴🥴 I was trying to focus on the good stuff. But I couldn't enjoy it
I bet that place is haunted
It's an antique mall, not an antique shop. Small difference.
Who in the world buys a picture of George Jefferson
He retired in El Paso. My dad and I ran into him at Petsmart around 15 years ago.
Captain Spaulding? What’a that about clown business???
Fun fact: for those of you who don't know. Sherman Hemsley lived here in el paso Texas. West side. You could go into Wal mart and see him and his wife.
Didnt know existed .
Slow down. Making me dizzy.
Yah, Nice and all, but EXPENSIVE AS SHIT!!!!! If you wanna get ripped off, that’s the place to go!!!! Cool, stuff though lol
This place sucks big time been there I wouldn't recommend unless you want to get "ripped off "
HATER

That's all antique shops. Everybody thinks their shit is special.
