    I've got it. It has it's own sound; it's a bit jazzy clean and fuzzy in overdrive.
    I like it because it's just a different thing. The blackstar's and comparable Fenders are trying to be their bigger counterparts while this is a stand alone thing. additionally to that its light and small and therefore portable.

      @badger519 i think so too. From what i´ve heard so far, i´d much rather go for one of the Blackstars, also either 6L6 or EL34. Both sound great in the videos and much bigger and more like a real tube amp than the Supro. And it seems they are also a bit cheaper.

    It doesn't sound bluesy to me. Not quite sure what genre it would belong to either. I'd probably take a blues junior or one of the smaller Roland Blues Cubes before I'd have the Supro. Maybe the Supro is different when you're actually playing through it. The amp does looks great though!

      In my experience with both amps you mentioned the blues cube or whatever is no clear and sufficient articulation and the blues jr. Has clear points but it farts and barfs like yuck on driven tones.

    Could have put a couple 6v6s in AB at12-15 watts for a better/less fizzy tone,kept it more simple with controls and truer to the Valco/Supro sound.Would have kept the manufacturing cost lower too.The cabinets look great,I love that it's poplar and not MDF.I'm no fan of the design though.

    Yo, I thought this was the amp for me. Might still be. I simply think I need a pedal with two inputs in the chain so I can sneak a dry of the SM58 to 1/4" cable I got into the mix & have a nice mini coffee shop gigging box. It looks really sleek, too. Yeah. Any recommendations for a pedal like that? Thinking of an effect in the loop so I can shout post guit-gain.

    Can that line out power an 8 ohm 212 cab?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your question, DnR. Happy New Year!
      The line out passes an audio signal but no current. It's for sending to an interface or console or another amp. If it were a speaker out then yes, it could power a cabinet.

      @@sweetwater Hey, Sweetwater clueless individual, did you not bother to think about the mans question? If you did , you would have added: The 8 ohm speaker out jack is connected to the speaker with a 1/4" mono connector so you can pull that out and insert a speaker cable into the 8 ohm speaker output jack and then run that speaker cable to any 8 or 16 ohm load you want. So yes you can use an 8 ohm 212 speaker cab with this amp. The internal speaker must be disconnected to do so then connect your 8/16 ohm speakers load.

The EQ and Gain structure is a little wonky, but once you figure out how it wants to be dialed in you get great tones out of it.
