Charice was about 17-18 years old here when she went on tour with David Foster. I read an article about David knowing that even at that time, Charice was already struggling with her identity and that it was painful to watch.
When I hear Mori now, I think she's the best of our singers today but then I when I watch Charice at the peak of her career, she's incomparable. That's a voice honed by years of competing since she was a kid.
The poor soul lost her mind ; truly tragic that she didn't receive the proper, timely mental health treatment her condition so desperately warranted. 😞

It breaks my heart to see the absolute talent, the total gift that was thrown away over trauma and confusion. Her talent was that of a Whitney Houston. Especially when one considers the vocal control, character, shading and, power coming from that tiny, diminutive body. OH. What if?
