- Despite only having 25 tropical storms, fewer than the Eastern Pacific that year, the 2015 Pacific Typhoon Season featured high amounts of ACE and intense storms; over 9 official super typhoons occurred this year, the highest since 1997. Of the 9, 5 of them were Category 5 storms; Maysak in March, Noul and Dolphin in May, and Soudelor, Atsani in August. The season also featured multiple notable storms; these include Higos which became the most intense typhoon in the month of February, Maysak which became the earliest super typhoon since Mitag of 2002, Noul which grazed the Philippine coast, Chan-hom which impacted China, Halola and Kilo crossing over from the Central Pacific, Soudelor which became the first of two to strike Taiwan as a major typhoon, Dujuan being the second storm to strike Taiwan as a Category 4, Mujigae which exploded before landfall near Southern China, and Koppu and Melor later striking the Philippines, both being powerful C4 storms.

I decided to add the PAGASA names as none of the F13 animations (except 2004) had them, and also tracks which delayed this animation a little; but I'm quite surprised by the overwhelming praise here. It took around a month or less to animate this, but I had to also work on other stuff to not lose my schedule. Regardless, we hope you enjoyed this animation!
Forgot to mention, Kilo had an asterisk at the end because it peaked elsewhere

@@kyle9331 Goni was pretty small, I mean very very small. I live in Legazpi City which is like 30km away from the 2nd landfall of Goni (Tiwi, Albay) and the devastation here in Legazpi was not as intense as I anticipated. Arguably Kammuri devastated Legazpi more than Goni because of the direct landfall of Kammuri to Legazpi, so I am pretty happy we were [quite] spared from the worst of Goni. Considering that Julius Nepos is from Irosin, Sorsogon I can understand how much Melor devastated his place sadly.

A season with so many powerful storms like its counterpart basin and included the destructive Mujigae, Koppu and Melor. The latter is memorable for me since it was both the worst and most powerful storm i had ever experienced after our town got directly hit by it as a major typhoon
I had no idea you are from the Philippines.
This season was the first Pacific Typhoon Season to have a Tropical Storm in every month of the year since 1965. It also had the 4th highest ACE of any season worldwide.
However, the deaths in this season we’re surprisingly low for a Pacific Typhoon Season, with only around 300.
I like how the PAG-ASA name shows up once it crosses the Philippine Area of Responsibility. Incredible detail

@@kyle9331 I know this is your analysis but where did you get the 160 MPH estimate for Koppu? Yes it had cold cloud tops around the eye but the eye of Koppu was so ragged for a 160 MPH storm

Wait, both were strong systems, but size wise 2015 Goni was a large system, whereas 2020 Goni was more of a compact, Charley-like storm.
What's interesting about 2015 was the number of (unofficial) super typhoons and (unofficial) major typhoons.
However, I am fairly upset at a few guys here for calling me "gay." It is kind of an insulting term on me. When I see someone or some typhoon call me that, it honestly ticks me off and makes me want to reappear and spew 145 mph sustained winds at them.
