As a southern girl, I’m serious about my pineapple casserole! Bless their hearts, those poor people who have never heard of pineapple casserole. You’ve done a good service to humanity, Mandy , by sharing this deliciousness with the rest of the people. 😊
Hi guys! I remember as a young child ( hard to believe that I can remember that far back! im soon to be 68) my mom and grandma making the chicken and spaghetti casserole, but it was baked in a ring shape! Sorry girli gotta agree with Steven! Pineapple doesnt go with cheese, I love them both but separate!!! LOVED HIS POOPOO FACE after tasting it! Gotta admit that is probably what my face would look like too! Its ok darlin Im with ya!!! Sweet corn bread puddin and rice puddin with raisins was a weekly thing for us growing up. We called it poor man's desert. Mom used the full amt of sugar AND we added a tad bit of milk to it as we ate it! All ingredients were readily available and of course she used homemade bread! Thanks for taking me on a trip back in time!!!!
I am with Steven....and the pineapple dish...however I do like pineapple on pizza and love pineapple upside-down cake warm ....if you made a crust with the crackers and butter and sugar and added some type of pineapple filling but definitely not cheddar cheese.
Mandy I put cream cheese in that pineapple casserole it was so good my sister went crazy over it was delicious it made it a dessert try it use 1/4 of cream cheese cut in to small pieces put in stir up
I made corn pudding for Christmas dinner. Mine was different than yours for sure. A can of corn and one of cReamed corn, eggs, sour cream, melted butter and Jiffy corn bread mix. I love it!!!
A "vintage" car needs to be 25 years old. I'm unsure what the age of a vintage recipe might be. Love your show, and the love you share with your family and us.
Loved it!!! It's good to see that Steven is actually human!! He's such a good sport. But, I have to say, I understand the pineapple thing. It's definitely a dessert, not for a savory dish.
I have a story for you. I saw your video with the Pineapple Casserole and I received your email with the recipe. I knew we were having ham for Christmas and I thought that would make a perfect side dish-I was skeptical but OMG-totally delicious! Last night we had different leftovers for dinner. After dinner my husband asked why we didn’t have the new casserole. It will be on the table tonight with leftover ham! Thank you so much for your delicious recipes!
My first cooking assignment in Home Economics in the middle 70s was pineapple casserole. I distinctly remember hand writing the recipe on the 3x5 index card.
My husband is in complete agreement with Steven!! Pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza or a ham and he said this dish didn’t sound good to him. Loved Steven’s facial expressions!!
So I’m a Georgia girl but I live in Oklahoma now. Never had corn pudding until I moved here. My mother in law makes it with jiffy instead of bread. Also the SAVORY cheese version is my favorite!
That is cute...Like my dad that was born in 1921 was called "Old school" by the younger kids.....Lol ....I love what our kids and grandkids come up with...
I must agree with your husband. While I do love pineapple, I don’t like it on pizza and would probably not like your pineapple side dish. I live in the northeast and have never heard of it.
My mom always did a lettuce leaf, a pineapple ring on top of the lettuce, a dollop of mayonnaise in the hole and cheddar cheese on top. It’s really good. Love corn pudding…we make it with sour cream, can corn drained, cream corn, jiffy cornbread mixed according to directions. Mix it all together and bake…yum. I will try your version of corn pudding it looked soooo good.
My Mom did the very same dish, which I loved. She only added a maraschino cherry on top of the mayo and cheese. Great flavor combination that compliment each other. A winner in my book! 😊
Steven you had your mind made up already on the pineapple casserole but glad you gave a squatters try 🤣😂 you guys are so cute - have a great new year and enjoy your week off see you next year 😊🥰❤️🎄
I am originally from Gastonia, NC. I never heard of pineapple casserole, but we always made pineapple salad. That consists of a leaf of iceberg lettuce on a salad plate, topped by a slice or two of canned pineapple. Top it with a dollop of Duke's and a sprinkle of mild cheddar cheese. It is really good. Love your show. Steven is hilarious!
Never heard of pineapple casserole until Mandy in the making. Learn something new everyday. Vintage recipes means recipes handed down generation to generation that are well loved favorites
Never had this casserole with cheese and pineapple.but love pineapple/ham on pizza 😊.love taco pizza too Would never put other fruit on pizza but pineapple.want to try it.From Minnesota so never heard of it.Steven cracks me up.😂
I got the cheese grater from Amazon that you recommended and I will let you know that it has saved Thanksgiving and Christmas because I grade my own cheese to make macaroni and cheese and that’s about 4 pounds every holiday and I was getting tired of doing it by hand.😅 So my family thanks you!😂 Merry Christmas 🎄
Aw Steven; why not add a nice big scoop of vanilla ice cream on it and think of it as a dessert! These Vintage recipes are so reminiscent of my younger years and I love Corn Pudding! 😊💕 Thank you so much for this video, Mandy! Have a wonderful week! 💖
Im a Californian & have NEVER heard of Pineapple casserole. I LOOOOOVE pineapple on pizza. Oh im so going to try that! Thank you. Merry Christmas and a blessed 2023 to you and your family. ✝️❤️🎄
I absolutely love all three of these recipes! I suppose it’s because I’m also from the South. However, I actually never thought of them to be “vintage” either. 😮 I’m only 43. 😂
If you talk to an antiques dealer they say between 20-25 things are classics. After that they are antique/vintage. I wonder if that goes for people, hmmm? I am 71, far past antique, so I just think those my age or older are just Precious. 😂😂. That pineapple dish sure couldn’t be easier. My niece makes a dish like this with plain stuffing. You would have to add most of the juice to make it moist. She calls it pineapple stuffing.
I had never heard of pineapple casserole before this video (born and raised in Arizona, but living in South Carolina for the last 7 years). I'm intrigued. I do like pineapple on pizza, so maybe I'll try it.
Just love watching y'all cook, eat, comment and just enjoy each others company!! And btw vintage is anything 20 yrs. or older, antique is 100 yrs. Being almost 63, I consider myself Vintage 3 times over...LOL Keep the awesomeness coming! 💕
Mandy I make a corn casserole with jiffy mix and cream corn and 1 can of regular corn ,1 egg and 1/2 stick butter mix the wet ingredients ,then add the dry jiffy mix bake at 350 degrees until brown
I love pineapple on pizza and on ham. Yummy 😋 I love watching his expressions. My kids love getting me to taste something that they know i wont like because of the faces i make. Love watching your videos. You two are the best.
I first had Pineapple Casserole while visiting relatives in the south. I thought I was getting cheesy potatoes from the buffet…what a surprise when I tasted pineapple but I loved it. Made it several times for friends here in the Pacific Northwest and it’s always a big hit.
I love pineapple casserole haven't made it in ages going to make now thanks for reminding me, vintage is me I'm 63 at least my kids think I am🤣🤣. Steven cracks me up with the cream cheese 🤣 Steven your still a youngster
If you talk to an antiques dealer they say between 20-25 things are classics. After that they are antique/vintage. I wonder if that goes for people, hmmm? I am 71, far past antique, so I just think those my age or older are just Precious. 😂😂
According to my research, antique is over 100 yrs old. Vintage is at least 40 years old. Hope that helps! Oh, and none of these look like something we’d make. But it did get my curiosity going and now I want to go find more vintage recipes! Yum! ❤ y’all! Hope y’all had an amazing Christmas and happy new year!
Steven reaction is hilarious lol. I love your recipes Mandy but I’m with team Steven on this one lol cheese and pineapples I just can’t process that 😂 Love you guys ❤
After you asked the question about pineapple casserole (I was one that had never heard of it) I heard 2-3 more people mention it! I decided to make it for Christmas and everyone’s reaction (including my parents and in-laws who are all picky eaters) said “this is weird… I need more” 🤣
Your so funny! ❤️❤️❤️ You know what would make this better? Add some cream cheese, love this!! You totally have my sense of humour! No worries, we still love you Steven!
I love when Steven will even try things he does not like! Hope your family had a Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year!! Thank you for sharing your recipes!!
I absolutely love Corn nuggets. I would imagine the Corn pudding is basically the same thing. I buy them premade in the frozen food section when I have a taste for them.
I was born and raised in South Georgia and moved to North Carolina when I was about 22ish. And I have never tried pineapple casserole and have only recently heard of it.
Mandy, pineapple Never, Never, ever belongs on pizza! Lol I’m with your hubby to n this!!! The chicken speghetti can be also done with tuna and if you were to add either panko or ritz crushed with some butter on the top of the cheese with chicken or tuna equals chefs kiss ❤️
Hilarious pouting! Y'all crack me up! I've never had a pineapple casserole until Christmas Eve it didn't have cheese in it though...I was impressed with how much I liked it. It went really well with the ham we were having as well.
Hope you all have a happy new year. We had bad news my sister in law lost her cat Snickers a day after Christmas she was a sick kitty plus she was 17 years old. We might get another one so her dog Tokyo has a playmate keep up the great work and can't wait to try new and different recipes real soon.
I loved this episode, I've been waiting to see Steven make a face at something he doesn't like. I love Steven ( it's ok though, I'm 70) . I will try that pineapple casserole, I'm a fan of pineapple on pizza so you said I would like it 🍍🍕. I'm from Washington state so definitely from the north, probably why I have never heard of it. Also since I am OLD I think anything 71 or older is vintage. 🙄. Also I liked when you told Steven there was no cream cheese in that casserole, it kinda did, you said there was cream cheese in the shredded cheese on top, that's what made it creamy, I know technically it didn't have it in there but "way to go Mandy for sneaking some in". Looking forward to new recipes in 2023, I don't miss even one video. Hands down my favorite cooking show on TH-cam.
My mom used to make something that was pineapple and cheese when I was little, I'll have to ask my sisters if they remember what it was. I liked it but as we got older she made more cakes and pies and less fruity desserts. But she loved to bake and cook, it looked like a bakery at our house during Christmas! I sure miss her! I'll let you know if I find out what that pineapple dessert was. I hope y'all had a wonderful Christmas and have a blessed New Year!
I am southern and I LOVE pineapple casserole. I do use sharp cheddar instead of mild because it makes it so much better and I don’t like it overly sweet either.
Never heard of pineapple casserole! But, the other two ... oh, yeah. Grew up with them and I am getting to be pretty vintage myself!!! Thank you for the delightful video!!! Might be working these in the next couple days! Tonight is your taco meatloaf with that awesome pan I got from your list on amazon!!! :D That's a GREAT meatloaf pan!!! Thank you for all you do and all the inspiration!
Mandy, I am definitely vintage, and I have never had any of these recpes. Thanks for sharing, I will give them a try. Happy New Year!🎉 Hugs from Florida!🌴🌴🌴
Hey Mandy for Christmas this year I made a corn casserole just look up jiffy corn casserole. Five ingredients and wow it was delicious. I am also a fan of all things vintage especially Christmas in order for it to be vintage it has to be over 20 years of age
Great recipes! We ate (and still do) all these recipes when I was growing up! So I guess 36 is vintage 😂 I love pineapple casserole. Must be a southern thing. ❤
My mother in law LOVED pineapple casserole. We are from Georgia. I don’t think of it as an old recipe, though. She only started making it shortly before she passed, and I had never heard of it until then.
We make a corn puddin for holidays but it’s the jiffy corn casserole recipe. Sometimes we add a little cheddar cheese. Oh my! Everybody loves it! I have to make a double recipe.
MANDY I MADE THE MONGOLIAN BEEF NOODLES LAST NIGHT & MY HUSBAND THOUGHT I WENT OUT & BOUGHT IT . HE FREAKED OUT WHEN I TOLD HIM I MADE IT ! THANKS FOR SHARING IT . GOD BLESS Y'ALL . (TAMMY FROM CALIFORNIA)
I chuckled when you said Gracie wasn't around for her cheese hand out!🤣 That girl is usually on top of all the cooking to make sure she gets what cheese she is entitled to!!! I loved her name so much that I named my newest puppy Gracie!!! Different middle name but, so in love with your Gracie!!❤️
We had pineapple casserole at Christmas with the ham!! Maybe it is just a southern thing? But I was totally hoping “vintage” meant you were going to make an aspic!! 😂
I love Hawaiian pizza, so I will probably like the pineapple casserole. I am a vintage southerner, but I have never heard of the recipe. I may throw in some ham chunks to make it into an entree dish. (Just a thought). Love your videos!
Interesting corn pudding. I Julia Pacheco 's corn bread pudding. It has one box of Jiffy, cream corn , whole kernel cien draining, 1 stick of butter and 1c of shredded cheese. It's good. I actually made it last night with a ham.
Love that Steven doesn't like something. His face is so funny!!!
I love how you two in the kitchen. Your hubby is funny
Pineapple with ham or bacon is so good. Steven is hilarious.
As a southern girl, I’m serious about my pineapple casserole! Bless their hearts, those poor people who have never heard of pineapple casserole. You’ve done a good service to humanity, Mandy , by sharing this deliciousness with the rest of the people. 😊
Hahahaaaa at your husband! The noises! That gave me a good laugh🤣😂 priceless 🙃
I like that you had recipes that neither one of you were fond of. You are keeping it real and keeping it honest. Love it!
Hi Mandy, try adding a can of regular corn in addition to the cream corn. It helps the texture and adds a bit more substance. Love all your videos.
I agree
Hi guys! I remember as a young child ( hard to believe that I can remember that far back! im soon to be 68) my mom and grandma making the chicken and spaghetti casserole, but it was baked in a ring shape! Thanks for taking me on a trip back in time!!!!
My son also doesn’t like warm pineapple so he won’t even touch the casserole. My husband and I love it and I take it to every family Thanksgiving.
I love that he doesn't like it but still tries it! The reaction was hilarious 😂 another great bunch of recipes 💜
I am with Steven....and the pineapple dish...however I do like pineapple on pizza and love pineapple upside-down cake warm ....if you made a crust with the crackers and butter and sugar and added some type of pineapple filling but definitely not cheddar cheese.

I made corn pudding for Christmas dinner. Mine was different than yours for sure. A can of corn and one of cReamed corn, eggs, sour cream, melted butter and Jiffy corn bread mix. I love it!!!
So when u do Jiffy, do u omit the bread cubes? Wonder if it would be good for breakfast or brunch?
That's the way I make mine! So good!
This is how I make my corn pudding with corn bread, but we call it “Corn Casserole”
@sandybowman7140 yes, omit bread cubes. I absolutely love it and could eat it for every meal. Lol
I add cheddar cheese and green Chile to mine.very yummy!
A "vintage" car needs to be 25 years old. I'm unsure what the age of a vintage recipe might be. Love your show, and the love you share with your family and us.
My recipe is over 25 for sure
I'd like to see more vintage/ passed down family recipes from ppl.
Loved it!!! It's good to see that Steven is actually human!! He's such a good sport. But, I have to say, I understand the pineapple thing. It's definitely a dessert, not for a savory dish.
I've never heard of pineapple casserole. I'm from Texas and have lived all over the south (air force brat). I love Steven's reaction!
Love Steven facial expressions 😂😂😂
I have a story for you. I saw your video with the Pineapple Casserole and I received your email with the recipe. Oh yeah..the Pineapple Casserole is a must every Christmas with our Ham. Those 2 together are the best
Recipes looked good..As far as vintage goes 50 to 100 years old, 100+ is antique Love your lil kitty
"I don't see myself making this again" while Steven goes on and on how good it is and digging in for more. 🤣🤣🤗
Lol we were opposites on this day!
So I’m a Georgia girl but I live in Oklahoma now. Never had corn pudding until I moved here. My mother in law makes it with jiffy instead of bread. Also the SAVORY cheese version is my favorite!
My boys call recipes from the Time I was young “ back in the day” food. Lol I make a lot of those type of foods. Retro is what I call them
Love that! Yes, retro sounds better and cooler 😄
What I remember, how old something would be considered vintage is about 20 years or older. Your three recipes look amazing. Have a wonderful day.
Sondrad you can also use a canned pear half the same way! Delicious! 😋
My Mom did the very same dish, which I loved. She only added a maraschino cherry on top of the mayo and cheese. Great flavor combination that compliment each other. A winner in my book! 😊
Steven is so funny!! His face!!!! Classic!
When Campbell's came out with the cream style soups, they developed recipes for each flavor, to help boost sales.
Steven you had your mind made up already on the pineapple casserole but glad you gave a squatters try 🤣😂 you guys are so cute - have a great new year and enjoy your week off see you next year 😊🥰❤️🎄

We had shredded carrots, pineapple and raisin salad
My Mom did this same salad but used canned pear halves instead of the pineapple. Sharp cheddar cheese is the best and I still have it now.
Never heard of pineapple casserole until Mandy in the making. Learn something new everyday.

Never heard of pineapple casserole. Born in Kansas, raised in California. I can eat a half of fresh pineapple in 1 sitting!!

The first thing that pops in my head when I hear "vintage recipe" is jello molds 😂
Omg yessssss 😂

Jello "salads"😀
I agree with Steven on this one 🤣 my all time favorite recipe is the white chicken enchiladas, yummy!
Steven reaction is hilarious lol. I love your recipes Mandy but I’m with team Steven on this one lol cheese and pineapples I just can’t process that 😂
Love you guys ❤
Oh I agree Mandy! I've made this pineapple casserole for 30 plus yrs and I love it. I could eat the whole dish too! Lol! Have a great week.
After you asked the question about pineapple casserole (I was one that had never heard of it) I heard 2-3 more people mention it! I decided to make it for Christmas and everyone’s reaction (including my parents and in-laws who are all picky eaters) said “this is weird… I need more” 🤣

These all look incredible. Your videos always put a smile on my face!😊
Pineapple casserole 🍍 love it! I haven't had it in years and yes I am from the south. Not sure why it doesn't come to mind when needing a side dish.
Your videos are invariably informative AND entertaining. Thank you for making all sorts of recipes seem entirely accessible!
You are so welcome!
I was born and raised in South Georgia and moved to North Carolina when I was about 22ish. And I have never tried pineapple casserole and have only recently heard of it.
I found it in the Atlanta Junior League Cookbook a while back.
Love the pineapple casserole. I prefer to use crushed pineapple when I make it though over chunks. Always a favorite!
Thanks for that input, I wondered about that!

I've never had a pineapple casserole until Christmas Eve it didn't have cheese in it though...I was impressed with how much I liked it. It went really well with the ham we were having as well.
I was going to say it goes really good with ham
And cream cheese is fabulous in it! My sister puts it in hers.
Rob: Loved the video and I have had the pineapples before and I love it. Also anything that is 20 years old or older is considered vintage. 🙂❤️💜🧩🍒🦋
When you asked Stephen what vintage was and he said he was , I was like if he is vintage then I definitely am
Lol 😂
My aunt use to love this. She use to call it chicken a la king.
Hope you all have a happy new year. We had bad news my sister in law lost her cat Snickers a day after Christmas she was a sick kitty plus she was 17 years old. We might get another one so her dog Tokyo has a playmate keep up the great work and can't wait to try new and different recipes real soon.

Oh my ❤ pineapple casserole!! I really liked the first two recipes and I’m with you on the corn pudding recipe.

I recently saw an "infommercial" for a similar grater, and they grated saltines and Graham crackers in it! Worth a try! I love your videos.
I use mine to grate crackers and cookies for crusts, and it is so efficient!!
I’m from California and I’ve never heard of pineapple casserole until I started following a few southerners on TH-cam you included ❤your videos
I’m SO relieved Steven didn’t mind the warm pineapple in my italian stir fry recipe 😭😭
We've been cooking this for years & we LOVE it! I'm from Ohio & my hubby is Georgia. It's nit a southern thing, it's a YUMMY thing!! 😃💕
Pineapple Casserole has been a side dish for our family for years, especially when ham is served. Love to watch you guys! -A fellow sandlapper
It's so good!
Great recipes! We ate (and still do) all these recipes when I was growing up! So I guess 36 is vintage 😂 I love pineapple casserole. Must be a southern thing. ❤
Cheese and pineapple are a marriage made in heaven! 💛❤
Yes!!!!
Oh im so on this. ASAP
Yes, but not with sugar!
My mother in law LOVED pineapple casserole. We are from Georgia. I don’t think of it as an old recipe, though. She only started making it shortly before she passed, and I had never heard of it until then.
My mother would shred cheddar cheese on pineapple rings.
Someone years ago brought it to office lunch. Love love it. I make it all the time.
I love ham and pineapple pizza.
Steven and I had the same reaction to the pineapple cheese casserole... I just can't. 😂😬
Lol 😂
I grew up eating pineapple and cottage cheese together, so the flavors compliment each other very well.
Madame Butterfly, me, too. I also LOVE cottage cheese with mandarin oranges or peach slices. I would bet Stephen doesn’t eat pear salad, either.
@@TheSuspiraMy Mom LOVES THAT!!! The little fruit cups with Cottage cheese are her favorite snack/dessert
We make a corn puddin for holidays but it’s the jiffy corn casserole recipe. Sometimes we add a little cheddar cheese. Oh my! Everybody loves it! I have to make a double recipe.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Blessings to your family, Mandy! Looking forward to some vintage type recipes. The oldies are always goodies! ❤️
Love his reaction to the hot pineapple & cheese dish!! I love pineapple made any way!! Yum!!
I love Hawaiian pizza, so I will probably like the pineapple casserole. I am a vintage southerner, but I have never heard of the recipe. I may throw in some ham chunks to make it into an entree dish. (Just a thought). Love your videos!
Oh that's interesting 🤔 I don't know how that would turn out!!
My thoughts exactly.
Look up the recipe for corn pudding using jiffy corn muffin mix ❤️ it's one of my favorites!
"Did I hurt your feelings?" He's still sweet even when he's being dramatic 🤣 Side note: I LOVE grilled (hot) pineapple!
Grilled pineapple is the bomb! 😋
@@lizsmith7816 well now I hear u on that one, so I'm coming closer to thinking it might be good - I love teriyaki grilled pineapple!
Flattened chicken breast rolled up with pineapple in and wrapped in bacon and baked is yummy cheers from Aussie 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
Interesting corn pudding. I Julia Pacheco 's corn bread pudding. It has one box of Jiffy, cream corn , whole kernel cien draining, 1 stick of butter and 1c of shredded cheese. It's good. I actually made it last night with a ham.
I've made that one before - we called it Corn Casserole though 😊
