Ive owned a 96 carbed XJR12OOR Kenny Roberts for a while now. The motor has been well and truly tickled with and the power is amazing. 9 second bike. Im 57 this month and I will keep this bike til the end.
I got a 2014 model myself. Would not want the 2015 model with it's tiny fuel tank. This beast gozzles up it's fuel like there is no tomorrow. But deary me, is it a f*cking joy to ride. The rumble, the power... If I could marry it I would.
I'm a huge fan of big-bore bikes, regardless of brands. Same when it comes to super-charged or turbocharged engines. Monster torque in all rev ranges, and mostly flat torque curve all the way up to the redline, makes for a lot of fun riding. With judicious amounts of self-restraint thrown in, of course. ;) That was a great ride-along. :)
I have a 2016 model, best muscle bike 👌 just torque for days, and nothing but smoothness. Power comes on throughout the rev range, but from 6000rpm it gets full on 😎
Lovely bikes, have an 06 plate XJR back in the UK and it absolutely hellfire, handles well even round town, just replaced the valance box (completely shagged)for a stainless steel straight through pipe, so should sound the dog's bollocks. 😉👍
Thanks mate..Is always fun riding,Even though i only live 10 mins form the shop will have to go the long way from now on..Thanks for watching mate..Enjoy..
Maria korte Thanks Maria(is that your real name) My mate has aStreet Triple Flat tracker but don’t think it goes,Will Check and get it tested..Thanks for watching Maria💋
I thought it was common knowledge 🤔 it was a tribute to rossi for winning the Moto GP one season back in the day and making Yamaha number 1 that season...
Hi. Would this make a good first big bike? I'm looking at this and a Honda cb1100 rs. Just love these bikes, but the ABS on the Honda is what is leaning me towards it. Also considering yamaha xsr900. Thank you.
@@rezz578Because you really have to have some finesse with the brakes on a non abs XJR in a situation. I would say get the XJR because I own a very fast one and I can take grandma on it because it's so easy to ride. Cheers.
No mate, Just been flat out busy and had not been able to ride much with the rain and other commitments. As soon as the sun is shining and the other commitments sorted i will be full steam ahead...

Are you going to review the Versys?
Nice to see you know absolutely fuck all about motorcycles , Rossi is number 46 !! For a start

Great review mate. Can we still buy these in Australia?
They've stopped producing them now but you can still buy low km second hand ones. Lotta bike for your money.
