I did the same. Sold my cbf1000 and bought a 22 year old xjr1300sp. Best move i ever made

XJRs rock, had one for a couple years and regrettably sold it, it's a shame yamaha started making them 4 into 1 exhausts when they went FI, imo these kind of bikes have to have twin cans, but to be honest after watching this, it does still look nice even with one, enjoy the bike!
Cheers Rob, personally I prefer the 4 - 1 exhaust always have done but it's a matter of opinion. I can't imagine selling this bike now, I can see why you regretted selling yours. Thanks for your comments

Nice one guys enjoy the XJR Vic I have an old 1200 sp version and it too needs a 6th gear and I would like a gear indicator ta stop me searchin for another one . I've started puttin E5 in the tank cos I do not trust that other stuff long may it last too .Look forward to the next one guys good job . Cheers : )

Also this new fuel is crap if it’s left in a tank for so long it attracts water mate. It’s ok if you use it everyday but if left then not so good. I personally won’t use it unless I have to

Not a fan of the e10 myself, if i am going to be doing the miles in one day I will use it, but I will always make sure that I’m almost empty some miles before I get home then fill with e5 🏍
Yes that’s exactly what I will be doing. Not had a problem up till now but 5 weeks is the longest the bike has sat. I won’t use it again unless I’m using the whole tank as you say.
Cracking bike Vic. How did you apply the ACF 50, by hand or spray gun, any tips?

Thankyou! The acf50 job went a bit wrong to be honest. I'd wrapped the wheels up ready to spray it on the bike then soon after starting the sprayer on the bottle broke! I ended up having to pour it onto a rag and use that. Not very satisfactory as you can't get in property as with a spray so now I need a new spray bottle
I've just become the proud owner of a 2014 CB1300. Cracking bike, but being 1st gen, like the FJ it's 5 speed, really needs that 6th. But PLEASE couldn't we have a proper petrol gauge instead of the stupid digital bar thing !!

Looks like either battery. RR and maybe stator. 3rd stator on mine.
Nice bike, deffo a fender extender as well as a oil cooler guard, super unleaded it has to be I'm afraid.

Thanks Dave, yes I've ordered an oil cooler guard yesterday. It's got a fender extender already but not a rear hugger. Good shout about the fuel, think I might start using super unleaded!
@@victorway5503 Hi Vic, I have fender extenders and rad guards on both my bikes, much cheaper and safer than new rads/engine bits, as for the fuel I figure if I can afford a bike then I'm putting the best fuel in it not horrible E10 and from experience both run much better, even when E5 was available I used the higher octane stuff, good luck with your lovely new bike.

Oh it's running again. I started mine up after 4 weeks and first time. But last tank full was Esso super I think. Bit more expensive lol.
Yeah starts first time easy and cranks over just spluttering and Fuel injection light flashes. Deffo fuel related. Put E5 in and has been perfect since.
