    Their answers about Andy shows what thoughtful and sensitive guys they were, at such a young age. I can't imagine bands like Guns -n-Roses at that time providing such answers to those questions.

      Lets not forget Steven Adler...he got screwed. Axl hated him because he stood up to him but made Duff and slash tell him he was fired. Axl Rose is a total pos. Appetite for destruction was one of the best albums ever made and the only one Adler played on. It was raw and organic and could not be replicated. The following double album sold well because everyone thought it would be similar. It sucked.

    It seems like after an addict dies why is it the same story? "He was doing great" or "He was off drugs" or "I don't know what happened because he was clean at the time" why is it always those times that they lose the battle? People have said this about Kurt "he was feeling really good, he finally seemed happy" People have said this about Chris "he seemed to be in good spirits" Why when they seem and act the happiest are those always the time when they die?

    • @jenurban
      @jenurban 7 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      Mary Hughes from my understanding, if they have been off and decide to do drugs again, they often do the amount that they were used to and don't realize their tolerance has gone down=overdose. I could be wrong but I have heard this in interviews before.

    • @maryhughes6372
      @maryhughes6372 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      +Jen Filip that makes sense. If your off it for a while then suddenly take the amount that your use to your body can't take it. You have to build yourself up to the higher doses

    • @lauramalizia9636
      @lauramalizia9636 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Also.. I saw another comment, different video. It made sense after I read it, hope I can make it make sense to you.. it said the people who say they are going to kill themselves are really scared to and it's a cry for help. The people who do kill themselves don't say anything. Act like everything is fine because they don't want anyone to stop them from doing it, be it by drug overdose or taking a gun to their head. Hope I repeated that right.

    • @tamaraeandrews
      @tamaraeandrews 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There are a couple factors here, you’re really talking about two different fates and that is dying from addiction and dying from suicide (though I don’t actually believe that Kurt Cobain died from suicide), however, heroin overdose deaths can often be attributed to tolerance, tolerance fluctuates immensely, so in periods of abstinence tolerance drops significantly, and relapse after a fair amount of clean time is especially dangerous as people tend to simply do too much. With Suicide, depression and mental illness can be physically exhausting, and while the will to live may not be there, the strength to formulate and carry out a plan to end one’s life can be too daunting, feeling better mentally and emotionally greatly improves the physical self. During this time, being reminded of where you’ve been and are likely heading is just as dangerous. The human mind/spirit is so complex, and a person can completely convince themselves that they have been and will be a burden to those they care about, that their world would be “better off” without them, and when that happens in sync with feeling well and having strength...this is just my opinion obviously, mixed with a bit of fact I guess.
