But I don't like Mtsvangwa for lying, he only defend ZANU PF he can't discuss anything purely on Economic basis.
Mtsvangwa very learned but nothing to show for all his degrees. Imagine how he supported Mugabe before the relationship went sour, a learned person must be principled, wise and should defend sensible actions.

@@constantineautocomjp9331 all the world transactions are controlled by the US. All international banking systems are controlled by the US. And since Zimbabwe is under economic sanctions it can not make any international transactions without alerting the US. Furthermore, Zimbabwe can not make any transactions with any country in the world using US dollars unless that country is will to also go under sanctions by the US. So the only way that Zimbabwe can buy healthy equipments, agricultural equipments etc is to trade with gold. Using gold coins is a way of running away from the international banking system that is controlled by the US. It makes easy for us to purchase stuff from other countries without alerting the US and with using the US controlled channels.

I wonder if Zimbabwe would be better off, if it went back to it's multi-currency regime. Let the people choose what they want to transact in, be it US dollar, RGTs, bond coin, ZWL, yuan, euro, or whatever.
