Hon Biti and Professor Mugano have the nation's interest at heart if only the 'powers that be' could engage them to craft better policies for sound economic policies that put Zimbabwe first.

On the issue of the exchange rate, it is being manipulated in the sense that 'the willing buyers' who are represented by the banks do not constitute the entirety of the market. And not everyone can participate on the auction market. The little guy who wants 50 USD to go to Botswana cannot access the official market. So we end up with 2 markets- one for big industry and another one for everyone else. Unfortunately the parallel market has more players and reflects a rate closer to market equilibrium. I sign off.

According to my understanding , a budget is so important that, if Parliament rejects the budget, the Government will usually resign and an election will be held to elect a new Government.....Parliament could either adopt the budget or reject it in its entirety.... It happened in Ghana last year. Ghana’s parliament voted down the proposed national budget on 26 November 2021 because of a new levy on electronic money transfers..... True story, so I don't see why Zimbabwean parliament is not rejecting this budget

Sugar is not healthy it is like smoking so I believe that is welcome tax since it is also going to help serve cancer issues. I agree that there could be other means though to raise revenue. For us the issue is what is the revenue going to there should be clear presentation on how much is expected from these revenue collection intiatives and what is the income going to cover in the development of the country
