It's a simple process when you have the motorcycle endorsement. Just go to the LTO and do a conversion. The 1st visit they check your paperwork. Then they set up a date for the conversion.

I lived next to 38 park in IT park for a few years, i lived in cebu city for 7 years. Visiting 30 years, Marco polo is older, that is why u get more for your buck. Marco polo is farther from the city center, like ayala mall and IT park etc,,,,I was staying at Avida Riala and the only complaint was the construction of the last tower. It would go late into the night, and sometimes so loud u have to leave your condo. Not sure about hearing the construction now, i am sure 38 park residents could hear it. But it looked like they were almost done, i liked IT park because many places to eat and u can walk. The small ayala mall in IT park is adequate, i liked IT park because its hard for me to walk long distance. I also have stayed at Solinea condos next to ayala mall, i liked that place a lot. They have a huge pool, small gym, and next to everything. Remember,,,use grab, or other app, and i have never used a wallet. I always use the thin under shirt pouch, but i never had a problem with getting robbed in cebu, the only problems was the drunk expats.

You are welcome for the interactions. (Like /comments) It's nice to see someone talking about Cebu from an on the ground standpoint. Chad was good but he's moved to Dumaguete I understand. Topic ideas. Logistics and Cebu Traffic :), Province travel how far out it too far?, How easy is it to get to Bohol, Dumaguete, Boracay, Siquijor, El Nido? What I would like is not so much what Chad does which is show great video and do a monologue/travelogue of impressions (and Philippines is super cool come here!). What would be helpful is planned X days, Y hours to go Siquijor, we left in morning/afternoon/evening took this RORO, went this place stayed in Z area which cost XYZ pesos. Type of explanations of some of the details. Watching Chad's stuff I get that you can cover 2 weeks of Cool tourist stuff from Dumaguete... but I'm like ok how did you get to Apo island Chad?

Thanks for the information, Britt. On your U.S. taxes, are you still using your same accountant, and is he familiar with Ex Pats living abroad? Is there any deductions that you can take from living in Cebu? I think that by having your channel, it may open you up for more US deductions to offset any US dividends that you're collecting. Ppl might think "Oh, he's not going to have any IRS deductions", but it's probably still going to be a process if a person's drawing Social Security and collecting dividends/interest from stocks or other US investments.

Britt American brother - found you on another youtuber channel - you seem to be a decent dude. Since you now live "IN" the Philippines you are poised to create a pretty good channel there. You could show daily life there - the good, the bad, the ugly. I would recommend getting a good 4K camera etc such as latest gopro, etc. or better (pro setup). When you film think 'movie' - slowww and steady pans etc. - good mic, etc. Every time you film your travels, think you're filming a movie - movie quality. Thanks for the info of this vid - would recommend you tell the hard facts of living there. Lots of Pros, but also communicate the Cons. For example - there are only 2 places in the world that do not grant a divorce. The Philippines and Vatican City. So if you get married, you better be ready for a rough time if it ever goes sideways. Those sorts of topics, etc. But yes, on the positive notes, plural, there would seem to me a TON of FUN you could film on the different areas you check out. I have a completely different situation but may go over there one day sooner than later - and yes, have thought about the Philippines as a retirement possibility. Stay happy. Stay healthy. Happy New Year. All the best !

I vouch for this. I'd get wireless mic first just because it will eliminate some of that hollowness you get filming in a room from the camera mic. It'll make you so much clearer, especially when you start shooting footage outside. Learn to edit so you can insert footage over what you're talking about. TH-cam is a visual medium yet it amazes me how people lose sight of that. You are trying to captivate an audience just like any other medium. You'll need to invest in some fundamentals, education and story ideas to do that successfully. Good luck I hope you do well.

Well--- I stay in a condo in the Lapu Lapu area in Mactan....... and I have found electricity bills to be VERY expensive----- am I getting ripped off....? because you're saying that your electricity costs $69 dollars USD per month...... they're charging me 8000 pesos plus where I stay........ ( but they don't have " inverted " AC...... ) but still seems kinda outrageous ......

I only use one aircon at a time. Never use them at night. Just use fans at night.
