Yes the bahrag can fight eachother, but there is something else that can pull that power pack out: the exo-toa's extending hook hand
If lego revives Bionicle, they could start with small and big rahi that are made of mostly technic parts but do all feature masks. This way, they don't have to make many molds at the start and still make money by including masks in many colors. Maybe throw in some new multi use molds here and there.
Like longer axles with stop and/or axle pins
You don't have to remake old molds their tiny little things they're in storage someplace, but you just don't know if they melted any of them.
All molds unused for 5 or more years are destroyed by lego to save money, there arent any bionicle molds left unless they were stolen by employees and are buried somewhere
@@michaelwave9831 this is half true. They are destroyed after 5 years. But there are a handful still in production. Like bohrok eyes
What about doing brick built masks instead of molded ones? That would avoid new molds and enable some amazing customization.
God I love the 2001-3 combat gimmick
The Rahi play features most definitely piggy backed off of the 90s Technic Competition sets.
Oh damn I forgot about those...
THIS is the kind of thing that made me fall in love with Bionicle and why I started to lose interest in the Metru Nui era, play features started to become secondary, being a figure was their main focus, with their only play features being some kind of projectile after a while. The underwater arc, which I don't even remember any of the names from anymore, was the last that I actually bought any sets from, and while I loved the designs from it, I was never as into Bionicle as I was in the early days when the play features were as big of a selling point as having a good design.
I love a Rahi themed video. The Rahi are my favourite sub genre of Bionicle alongside the Bohrok. That is why the Bahrag is to me a pinnacle of early bionicle innovation. What makes the Bahrag even more unique is that it's disabling function coincidees with Exo Toa set. This set has a specific clawing/punching function that is perfectly positioned and designed to be in battle with the Bahrag, and effectively pull out the disabling piece. This function achieves the same desired outcome as on opposing Bahrag bite but achieved differently.
The Exo Toa has some shared elements, it possess another recoulered Pahrak claw in Pearl light grey, whilst the Bahrag has the same in red and blue. The Exo Toa also shares many innovative elements unique at the time. One of which was the Rotational Hip Joint. The Exo Toa also has technic panels, which all the larger tread based Rahi sets had 01 and the Bahrag. This signifies it's in the "big leagues" of titan sets.
It became very apparent to me when building the Exo-Toa that it shared a similar design langauge and flavour to its Bahrag counterpart set. The building process highlights to me a relational inten behind both sets designs, which again is new at the time.
I am certain that whoever designed the Bahrag also worked on the Exo-toa. What I love about these distinct sets is that for the first and last time, we saw a specifically designed '3-way' fighting game between two sets, with the Exo Toa serving as a third party. This really makes the Bahrag unique to its comparable 2001 Rahi cousins.
It really makes you realise how early Bionicle Titan sets were a true Cyberslam roots, which sadly I feel was neglected after 2002.
I often wonder what an 03 Rahi-esque set would hqve looked like, for example Muaka and Kane Ra and Bahrag utilised a biting and demobilisation function but in two distinct creative ways. Basically the Bahrag was a Bohrok themed Rahi set, but could we have seen an 03 set with distinct Rahskhi features to reflect its thematic year.? What about Exo-suits for Rahi? What about metru-based combating rahi sets?
Great video but kinda of wish we got to the point sooner just some feedback but really a great video! :)
stellar work on this vulture build!!
Impresive
This is perfection 👌
Actually, I recalled one thing that bugged me some time ago, about Kohlii players and McTorans. I guess it's no actual mystery, but I hadn't met explanation yet. Question is... are those legs designed to be pressed by fingertips to the playground?
