fun fact ! the drummer gwangil actually auditioned the show superband where they were formed as a vocalist ! but when he was put into the group LUCY they needed a drummer so he said hey I've kinda played a little drums in the past, and straight up learned how to play the drums for the band :)
one of their songs that you need to hear wither it be on camera or off camera is snooze !! it's incredibly beautiful and just so freeing and it feels so young and sweet and light and uplifting and god it's just perfect it's so emotional it gets me every time 😭
you should definitely check out more of their stuff when you can!! I’d personally recommend their songs Snooze and Stove, two of my favourite tracks from them (alongside the outro from their Inside album). Super special tracks that I wish more people knew about 🧎🏻♀️ (and if you’re interested in seeing other bands that incorporate more classical instruments, I’d highly recommend Hoppipolla, who have a cellist. Both them and Lucy were formed on the same show, Superband! Great program with a lineup that just oozed talent)

they do have this seasonal kinda project going on with their first 4 releases! flowering is spring, snooze is fall, jogging is summer, and hero is winter! they have this full on instrumental piece(INTRO) which they released alongside flowering (their debut), and another full-on instrumental piece which was released with hero (OUTRO) to indicate the end of their 4 season project concept thing (from what I have heard) !! lucy has been my all time favorite these past 2 years and I'm sooo glad you looked into them, thank you for this!!

I'm sure someone already mentioned it, but Gwangil wasn't originally supposed to be a drummer, but they didn't have one, and Gwangil can do pretty much anything, so... that's why they have a drummer vocalist. It's a common thing for Gwangil to have solo parts in Lucy songs.
k bands like lucy and hoppipella literally have the best instrumentalist in korea , since the show they competed in "superband" auditioned only geniuses in the industry .

And you were right, they do make their songs themselves almost completely. I'm really late to watching this reaction, but I'm so glad I finally did! I loved how you freaked out over Gwangil, the drummer, his voice does have that effect on people lol Having his voice and Sangyeop's (which I find amazingly unique and recognisable) on the same group is a blessing. Lucy is such a great band, they are all incredible, incredible musicians and, like you said, they always seem like they're having so much fun playing. I think that's one of the reasons I always get a happy and peaceful feeling when I listen to them. They've become my go-to when I need a pick-me-up. They released their first full album last month. 58 minutes of pure awesomeness. We even get a lovely song sung solely by Yechan, the violinist. I highly recommend it, even with you don't want to react to it (i know recording and editing takes a lot of time), just give it a listen on your own, it's just such a good album.

stray kids and lucy are my ults so I'm so happy you reacted to them, also yes they write their own music. for the most part wonsang (bassist) produces it but on blue (their last ep) each of the members wrote, composed, and arranged a song (some w the help of wonsang)! actually wonsang was apart of a producer group before this band, I think he still works with them on some things. all the members are insanely talented :)

I FREAKING LOVE LUCY!!! They're so talented and fun loving. The bassist Wonsang is one of their main producers. If you check out more, I would suggest trying to do some live versions because their energy is just insane live. I also think you would really love their song "Snooze". 💙
omg yes! I was having the worst morning ever and then you came with a reaction to one of my favorite groups! This whole season has been so fun to watch, i've watched even the ones from groups and artists i don't stan lol, but seeing you appreciate and enjoy Lucy's music so much really puts a smile on my face. And also i know that you can't react to a lot of songs in one go but if you can (and want to) i highly suggest to listen to their songs Flare and Stove, or really just their whole discography lol bc as you said, listening to them completely turns your day around for the better
I was so excited when I saw Lucy!!! I think Hero's my fave, but I also just love their lyrics to everything in general besides enjoying the music. Gwangil is the drummer and he's probably my bias. It's not official but it's only a matter of time I think!

YESS!! Lucy is criminally underrated!!! The dummer, Gwangil, is their second vocalist actually! He is always singing.
I FREAKING LOVE LUCY!!! They're so talented and fun loving. The bassist Wonsang is one of their main producers. If you check out more, I would suggest trying to do some live versions because their energy is just insane live. I also think you would really love their song "Snooze". 💙

omg yes! I was having the worst morning ever and then you came with a reaction to one of my favorite groups! This whole season has been so fun to watch, i've watched even the ones from groups and artists i don't stan lol, but seeing you appreciate and enjoy Lucy's music so much really puts a smile on my face. And also i know that you can't react to a lot of songs in one go but if you can (and want to) i highly suggest to listen to their songs Flare and Stove, or really just their whole discography lol bc as you said, listening to them completely turns your day around for the better
I was so excited when I saw Lucy!!! I think Hero's my fave, but I also just love their lyrics to everything in general besides enjoying the music. Gwangil is the drummer and he's probably my bias. It's not official but it's only a matter of time I think!
