I had a 2021 Slingshot R. Had it 11 months and sold it. I now have a 2022 Vanderhall Carmel GTS and love it.try a Vanderhall, and let's see what you think
Great video, except as viewers we need to stand together and put a stop ✋️ to people throwing sponsors into their video. You're being paid to give a false opinion of an item no one cares about and has nothing to do with the video we select. I don't pay for a premium account to be forced to watch commercials and for those who don't pay for premium can't even skip it without watching a TH-cam commercial. TH-cam needs to band such actions.
I get it. I really do. But I’m a high school teacher and making this level and volume of content takes a lot of time. With a channel this size, my monthly income is not super high, so anything I can do to supplement that is appreciated. If everyone donated a dollar or two via super thanks to videos they found valuable or their favorite creators, I think you’d see those in-video ads dry up somewhat. As it is, some of us need some extra cash here and there to keep going. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I saw this and was immediately stoked to hear your take. With your background with motorcycles, I knew you would be perfect for giving us some meaningful perspective. I also love seeing unusual stuff alongside all the SUVs and regular cars. Great video!
Thanks! I think most people who dig bikes will just get a bike, but for those who want some of that convenience will a degree more safety and usability, I think the Slingshot is an interesting option. Thanks for the support! 🙏🏻
Congrats on the new sponsor! Thanks for the review... tried those "things" once... very fun and enjoyable for sure. But personally would never spend that kind of money for what it is. Mind you I'm in Montreal, so not so many months to enjoy it (about 7)....
So this was the first time seeing your channel. I enjoyed your review quite a bit! I've been looking at the slingshot quite a bit this summer as a replacement for my Harley. Though I love 2 wheels, it's just not my thing much anymore. It's been too hot to gear up for rides just to go out for dinner or a movie or what not. My wife and I work opposite hours, so I don't go out on long runs much. So the slingshot seems like a better alternative for me. I can have the open air feeling of a bike, and still use it to commute to work and back on nice days. Also has enough storage to carry my work gear or go on longer weekend outings. Anyway, I've been on the fence on the auto. My wife doesn't drive manual, but the auto I did drive was a 20 model and absolutely sucked. I would like my wife to drive it, which she probably wouldn't, but if she had to, she could. But at the same time, I'd prefer a manual and can save quite a bit of money buying the first gen that only came with the stick. So here's my question, FINALLY, if you were to spend your money on one, would you get the manual or is that new shiftable auto good enough? I do love the tech that the new gen offers, but it's not going to make or break a deal.... also, sorry about the super long comment, it'll never happen again. I swear!
Haha! No problem. If it were me, I'd go manual no question. The improvements are substantial, but the auto still needs work in my opinion. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Someone a few houses down from us had one of these for a year or two. Pretty impractical but could be fun for a Sunday play car if you have the money to burn and somewhere to store it.
Definitely a toy, but for some people, they'd be more into this than a Miata or motorcycle. That's really where the Slingshot is aimed. Thanks for watching!
My only issue with the information you provided is your reference to the “larger” in the R and the smaller engine in the SL. I purchased a ’21 SL and then paid $600 to upgrade the tune to make it the same engine as the R. There is no other difference in the engines, just software.
Thank you for a good video, I appreciate your opinion on this vehicle. Thank you.

Interesting. I'd love to. I'll see if I can track one down.
@@jax1079 I think you will be impressed with the Vanderhall
Can these be stored outside with a cover I don’t have a garage but I’m seriously thinking about getting a 2022 model.
I’m sure it can. The interior is fairly water proof, too.

I was always curious about these😏
Hope the review helps satisfy some of that curiosity 😉👍🏻
You look like ya got a lil red having fun with the slingshot. 😆 glad ya had fun riding around and as always, thanks for the uploads. 🤜🤛
Haha! A bit. Made sure to wear sunscreen, but I was out filming for twelve hours or so that day. Couldn't be helped. 🤣
Also, super excited for you to have your first sponsor! Congrats!
Thanks! Definitely exciting!
$50 a day to rent one in Las Vegas. I’ll have one for 3 days next week when I’m there. Looks like a blast to drive
Awesome! Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

Thank you! And yeah, it might not be the best for the climate up there... 🤣

That's a pretty low like rate. LOLZ!! Probably based on something he shouldn't have said.
Fortunately, I couldn’t care less what people think about me.

First vehicle review I've seen where the camera spent the entire video pointed at the reviewer's face. LOL. Thanks for wasting our time. Awful video
The first ever?! Well, I strive to be unique here on TH-cam... Guess I succeeded.
go fast you talk to slow
Write slow, you grammar too poorly.
