Randall Devalcourt Thanks, its good to be back-weather has been terrible this winter for flying. Yep, thats a scenery view ya’ll don’t get to see too often! I know when we lived in Louisiana, it was a treat to see it snow, but no one could drive on it, from the air though, its breathtaking and photos/film don’t do it justice!
Yea, for the most part it is, until we discovered Little Jerusalem, bit still no where near California, I flew around LAX a couple years ago filmed it but that was before we got the GoPros and audio stuff set-up . . . Too cool you've been to Stearman, they're having a big TH-camr event next month out there!
@@Parr4theCourse I work in aerospace and was out there visiting a potential supplier in Wichita last June. I also went to a great restaurant called the Scotch & Sirloin.
Thank you Janis & Ron for a great day for flying in the winter...I bet the climb wasn't bad either! :-) It's good to see you back on the channel. That food looked good too! :-) We don't fly much either due to bad weather in the Cleveland area this time of the year. Ice & snow make for a treacherous runway these days. I flew out from here to Atlanta area last year this same time with 11 degree temp with ice/snow covered runway and I have to say having the wind blow you sideways while still on the runway prior to lift off gets your heartbeat beating faster! All was well after lift off though. :-)
Don Emory Yep Density Altitude was -1,400’ we were almost at pattern altitude by the end of the runway! It was a bumpy ride for a bit, but the views were great, landmarks were definitely different/hard to recognize too! Approaches were gusty/challenging but good practice....
gopher1471 Thanks, UK is a bucket list destination for us, we have friends that live there but have yet to make the trip.... We are ready for nicer weather!!!!
Michael Stern Thanks and yea it was COLD, the ramp was slick as .... well...ICE, I don’t like cold weather but it was a clear sunny day and you saw how fast the snow melted in just a couple of hours!
James S Thanks, and yea most likely a Southern Thing, that migrated to the Midwest, should make it your way before too long - HA! The Fried Pickles are pretty good too, so you need to come down South sometimes.....
Amazing video, some good schools at stearman too, shout out to Herb
Yea, we did a video for Air Capital with Janis showing what to expect during a discovery flight….
Enjoyed the scenic view and glad you all made it back on the channel--thanks from Cajun Country!!

I live in California where it's very hilly. Man, Kansas is flaaaaat! I've been to the Stearman as well. Very cool place.

Ive actually been there, or nearby at Koch Nitrogen.
But I’ve never flown in and checked out the area just in-n-out for work.
Looked like a great day
Cold, but SMOOTH air . . .
Did your headphones kill u without passive or active noise reduction?
The Halo headsets are a passive noise reduction and actually work pretty good…
Fried green beans? Is that a regional thing? I am in northern IL and have never heard of them. Good video, thanks for sharing!
