    After changing the part - is there some calibration or anything needed to be done? Or just replace and go?

      @kellysmith7357 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Dont take my word for it but in the manual it doesnt say calibration is needed if this is the only part you replaced.

    I have a Whirlpool Washing Machine Model WTW4815EW1, top loader. During the agitation cycle I could hear a rhythmic clicking noise. I researched and found that the splutch may be the problem. I ordered the kit and did the job this morning. As I got the washer out of it's spce and laid it over I found a piece of place broken. As I looked closely at the mechanism it became obvious that the shift actuator arm had broken off of the actuator. I replaced the splutch kit assembly because I already had it on hand. I ordered the new actuator and it will arrive in a couple of days. Neither part is overly expensive and replacing them is mildly mechanical. I bet my wife will notice that the clothes are cleaner once they now get agitated through their cycle.
    Yeah, yeah... I know. If I had bypassed the lid lock I would have readily noticed that the agitator wasn't agitating. So no need to pile on super-techs.

    what about calibration?

    I have to replace actuator twice. Why does the shift actuator plastic arm keeps breaking?

    Is there a way to bypass the lid lock on the newer washers? I tried a few possibilities with no luck. It seems that the brain box needs to see the lid cycled open and closed before it will start.

      You should do a diagnostic test in your washer so that you can get the exact code of what parts you need to change or repair. Read the manual it's in there.

    • @jk5376
      @jk5376 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The manual for running diagnostics is taped to the inside of the front of the washer. You need to lift the top to get at it.

    I just did this and found oil around the belt guard. What could cause this? We just changed every piece of equipment. What could cause the motor to leak?

    Should the shift motor have resistance? My new part doesn't read any similar to the old part. Wondering if I received a bad part.

    What happens if your machine actuator moves and machine cycles very slow

    How do I know for sure this is what I need? My washer won’t agitate or wash. It just makes a noise every other second during those cycles and then drains, rinses, and spins out.

    My 15kg whirlpool washing machine only full but not going to self wash. What is the problem

  • @thorthunder3227

    LId stuck, light blinking, washer will not engage anything. Green light in control, all lights function on front of top. Turn washer on set at normal, push the start on the Cabrio and red light flashing but no noise for the interlock. New interlock and catch installed. What now? Is it the actuator or what?

    • @tatianefernandes800

      Same problem, same process: replaced lid lock system, replaced the capacitor. Still not working. Called repairman, he gave me all kinds of "assumptions" even replaced a actuator he had in his bag, still not working. He even could not put the back panel back (wonder why he took the panel off in the first place). He still asked for the initial visit charge. I refused. The only thing I learned is that this is not an actuator problem. Now what? Need help.

      @@tatianefernandes800 I got replies that it was the control board from techs. Now, why does it work in automatic test and manual test but not when i push the start button on NORMAL wash? Or any of the wash cycles normally? I know the lid light blinks and will not engage the "lock" because it will not start at all. I think something in the sensing circuit is to blame as it requires knowledge from the start button to send a message to the motor and to the water inlet valves to fill up. Once filled up the washer lid should lock and start to agitate but if it will not even start to fill in normal mode then why does it work in all the test modes? Where is the culprit in the circuit? i cannot get a find on the circuit board showing a trace route from the start button engaging the circuit route to make the other parts interact. If i had a color diagram of the sequence of events from starting then i could isolate the part that is not communicating with the rest of the circuit. I am not sure if anyone can do this in America.

      sounds like a board, usually the last thing you wanna go for but sometimes when there's no other reasonable explanation, it's a faulty board
