    It would have been nice to see what pins you were testing with your meter. Your hand was in the way.

    I just cleaned the plastic lens on my actuator and my washer was up & running again. Thanks, good video

    Like to see the resistance test on the red shift motor. Im not sure about pin number location on jack J16 if its the first two pins mine must be totaly open.

    You are testing that wrong. The two pins on the end closest to the two black wires are the ones that go to the motor. They have continuity, but you won't get a beep sound. You have to turn a digital meter to the 20k or higher setting to get a reading. I took one apart to confirm that 100 percent.

    Sir, do you know if the washer will still spin in manual mode even if this actuator is bad? I didn't get any resistance on the actuator pins, but the washer did spin in manual. I ordered the 40 dollar part anyway, even though im not sure. It wont spin, gets stuck on flashing sensing

    What should the ohms be on a good accuator. Mine is reading out at 625 and does not sound when on continuity.

    I have a Kenmore 500 series. When spinning it makes rubbing sound and then stops.. i bypassed the lock and i see the basket and impeller spin but at different speeds. When the impeller starts spinning it makes the noise. I trying removing the impeller but it is seized on . Would the actuator be the cause of the noise?

    My whirlpool washer is draining but not spinning so clothes are still wet, but also will stop and start clicking in between filling up. If i change it to rinse and spin mode it will spin the water out the clothes. Is this the actuator or the clutch? Also if its the acuator does it have to be the exact model # (wtw4815ewo) because they all look alike and nobody is ever clear on if the model # has to be exact or if they all pretty much work....PLEASE HELP!!!!!

    My actuator is clicking and the washer wont start. Should I replace it...or is it something else?

    • @FIXTechGuides
      @FIXTechGuides  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It could very well be the actuator but before you replace it check to make sure the sensor part of the actuator is clean from any dirt or film . If the sensor is dirty it gives the board wrong information as to the speed and position of the gear case. May want to check and make the the electrical connector is is fitting the actuator tightly. Also, you typically should do a calibration when changing the the actuator.

    I can't move the arm at all, it's seized. Can I assume it's bad without further testing?

    • @justindickerson780

      Mine is doing the same thing, did you get it figured out?

    • @reversefulfillment9189
      @reversefulfillment9189 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @justindickerson780 turned out the actuator was fine. I was getting low water pressure due to a failing well pump.

      @@reversefulfillment9189do you have the part number for your actuator? I’m looking at mine right now and I’m unsure if I can test it the same way this guy does in the video

    I thought the actuator would be a selector switch, not a mechanical finger 😄
