I gotta admit, it's impressive how they recreated Buzz's "flight" around Andy's room from the first movie. The ball, the car loop, the plane, pretty much beat for beat.
@@xapdose i mean i think most kids just blanked on the cutscene and only payed attention to the action and from there your not sure what to do at least in pokemon you can talk to people and they nudge you in the right direction
I have been whistling the soundtrack for this game my entire adult life without knowing exactly where it came from. Today I can relax that portion of my brain.
@Angel DJ Gaming from what it looks like Hamm is often just sitting minding his own business and doesn't notice when he's blocking Buzz's way, which is probably why he gives Buzz a battery when Buzz gets damaged by him I like the fact that they bothered to add personality to some of this, but to a new player it can come across as weird
Everyone's saying they hate this game, boy do I have a story for you: My mom, sister and I were at the new school my sis and I would be going to when we were about...8-ish for a new school year meeting. I had my GBA on me (as ya do) and this game. When the meeting ended, my mom and sis went to the bathroom real quick and everyone left. I was so glued to the game, that I didn't realize or think to let anyone know we were still there and we wound up getting locked inside right when the lights finally went out. Thankfully someone let us out a minute later, but this game almost got us stranded someplace AND lost me my GBA for a LONG time. The irony: I still have this game, in my room. Can't play it though (not like I want to anymore), no GBA anymore.
Bought this game when it was legit brand new. I can to this day remember how still an awkward controlling buzz was. He’d do this weird sort of little squat before each jump and for that tiny microsecond before you’d almost panic not knowing which exact direction he’d go. The transition between a slow walk and a flat out sprint was weird too. I also remember having no idea what most of the weapons were meant for
This is pretty nostalgic for me. The first shitty game I ever played! The controls are horrible and stiff making the game pretty hard and there are a lot of random things that happen to you out of nowhere that don't make any sense. So many cryptic parts that you have to time perfectly to do. I guess the music and graphics are pretty good, but later when I found out this was a Tiertex game, it makes a lot of sense why this game would be a dissapointment and suck.
@Inthecourt I bought this game back then when I was about 8 and I thought that it will be exactly like the ps 1 toy story 2 game. I was a bit disappointed then.
@@BenLogterman It's sad that I was a huge Toy Story fan who didn't grow up playing the console versions instead. I always watched other kids play them and I was so jealous.

On Level 2, you can actually make Buzz run off the roof as if there were an invisible ground existing beyond it. Then Buzz will stay put for a moment and then fall down like Wile E. Coyote.
@@MetalJuggalo That's not a glitch but there is a few things that can be broken in this game. Wait a month or two and you'll probably see my TAS appear on the TASVideos channel if they accept it.

This game actually has a really cool Super Game Boy border with a picture of buzz in the corner and the words "T O I N F I N I T Y . . ." And "A N D B E Y O N D ! " On the top and bottom of the screen.
Wow. Wanna know something, fellas? I still remember seeing boxed copies of this exact game on the store shelves of Electronics Boutique way back when it was new. Never got it, and the video shows me why I think I never did, but nostalgia can be so beautiful.
Gotta hand it to Tiertex on this: the animations are fantastic for a Game Boy game, even though Buzz struts like he’s listening to “New York Groove” in his helmet.
Why is Zurg a generic enemy in this game and not a full-out boss? Also, "ZURG BOAT" is the new "THANOS CAR" (hilarity given who his VA is in Lightyear)
Something I for whatever reason clearly remember about this game is there was some kind of level skip glitch in level four, where if you pressed Down+B at the right time while in the water near the beginning you'd actually go further down on the screen, and if you went down far enough and went to where you'd normally climb up, Buzz would instead climb up underneath the level and it'd just immediately kick you to the stage clear screen Was really weird
That's real and was done in my recent TAS of the game. The cutscenes also have a glitch that allows you to skip almost every map in the game besides that one and a bonus level.
Man, in hindsight this game is so bad but I spent so much of my youth obsessed with it. Had to have beaten it like three times as a kid. I'll always be nostalgic for it to some degree
