The OG-Sega-mascot! Great game, but I've never been able to beat it. Somewhere in the middle I run out of lifes. Master System was never my favourite system but Alex Kidd, Ninja Gaiden and Golden Axe Warrior were really great entries in its library.
There's a continue cheat code you can use. You need u800 in the bank, if I remember right you hold up and press button 2 eight times on the Game Over screen. Remember as well that the manual lies to you: the invincibility powder does work under water. It's very handy for getting past the horrible bit with the spikes in the red castle.
Now this got me shedding tears and smiling.. the 80's.. nothing bothers the mind except to play my ALEX KID IN MIRACLE WORLD.. Sega Master System II. Stone 👊 Papers 🖐️ Scissors ✌️
The other games aren't great, and I think Miracle World is still a little too off-the-wall for my liking. Sega should have doubled down on the platforming and just gotten rid of the weird Janken matches and puzzle elements; the game doesn't know what it wants to be.
Alex Kidd in Shinobi World is awesome, even better than Miracle World in many people's opinion, including mine. Such a fun game. Lost Stars is a pretty good port of the original AK arcade game. Not bad. Hi Tech World is abysmal but it's not really an AK game, it's a reskin of a completely unrelated Japanese game. Enchanted Castle on the MD is a major disappointment. On the Master System two top class games, one decent game and one awful game. The Kidd did alright!
Altered Beast is frankly terrible on the MS. As much as I love my Master System, I can't gild that turd! I'm going to guess, from the fact that you're not picking any titles from the second half of the console's life, that you're American? Try Power Strike II, Asterix, Donald Duck (either game), Aladdin, Alex Kidd in Shinobi World, Golden Axe Warrior, Time Soldiers, Sagaia, etc. There's much better available on the MS than the games you've picked.
There's two different versions. The original game on cartridge has the Kidd eating an onigiri, the version built into the Master System 2 has him eating a hamburger. The hamburger version also reverses the buttons to the now standard 1 to attack, 2 to jump.
Awesome game ! One of the greatest in SEGA library. Alex Kidd should be in some of the next Super Smash Bros games :) He deserves it, because he is one of the mascots of SEGA.
I love this game. I remember finding a glitch I think was in stage one in the water. If I punched a certain brick in a particular place it would freeze the game and need to be restarted. You're very good player.
I was about 11 or 12 and had completed it once, no cheats, no help, no internet. When I saw the (disappointing) end, I vowed never to play it again. Until last week, I recently introduced it to my 4 yr old, and he loves playing it. Time to "clock" it again for old time sake. This game was tough
Managed to reach the finale stage... I'never been able to unlock the crown at the very final stage of the game... You must read the paper like japanese... Buy in 1991 no One told me... This game Is One of the hardest game I faced through the years... And One of the most unforgettable and funny... Maybe because I was 10... 😥
I think most people get stuck on the red castle. If you've got past that, the sequence at the end ought to be easy. You just need to follow the order on the stone tablet. I'm not sure if the original version has a different way of reading the sequence, but in the western (hamburger) version being played here, you just pause the game, select the stone, then follow the sequence as it appears on the stone in the final room. It's not reversed. Maybe it's different on the older version and that's the one you're playing? I don't know what the final bit is like on that one - I really struggle with that version's reversed buttons. I'm so used to playing the hamburger version that I can't break out of the habits that are ingrained in me - I find I have to constantly think about what I'm doing instead of playing on instinct.
Yey, the hamburger version that came built in to the Master System 2! 👍 Even now, I really struggle with the original version because of its button arrangement, the hamburger version rules.
Hello!min 30:10.How do you get through the spikes????is that FAKE or there is any secret....?i spent like 10000 live, and as you get close to them you die...and you touch them!!🤔🤔🤔 any clue??i'd like to finish the game....
@@JosephDonaghey I knoe it is but my question, if you read it again, was how does he still play it? Does he have the Master System 2 still? If he has purchased it recently, where did he get it?
Christmas, 1989, my first video game. Good memories.
God I remember playing this as a 10 year old in 1990 👴🏾
Me too 😅❤
I played it a year later as a 5 year old 🙂
Me three but it was the PAL version as I live in Western Australia
Jure sur le puissant coran ? Moi aussi j’avais 10 ans quand j’ai eu la master
Ahh the old built in game. Classic title.
Meu que saudade da minha infância, vc vê a inocência até nesse jogo....
I think this soundtrack is literally etched somewhere on my brain.
💯
I finally can see the ending of this game since 1995. lol
Incredible, It takes us back.
Now I'm 36 years old, my birthday was January 4.

The janken bs and floaty movement in this game used to give me nightmares.
The floating heads with the weird music was creepy as a kid

An incredible game. Such a shame the later games weren't as fun as this.

Alex Kidd in Shinobi World was really good! :-)

Fantastic game. I still have it built into my Master System II.
Really difficult though. I could never finish it.
The ending on the original is realy cool
@JET DRAGON Save states sounds a great way to do it.
Sega Master System was the best!
Rocky, Rambo, Alex Kid, space Harrier, Shinobi, Altered Beast, Golden Axe.
Altered Beast is frankly terrible on the MS. As much as I love my Master System, I can't gild that turd!

I always tought it was a hamburger at the end of each stage

Oh my…..remembering my two sons playing that for ages.

Well done on making a hard game look easy.

Epic skills.. I bet it took you hundreds of games to get this good.
Ok, but why collect all the money in the last level?
They don’t make them like this anymore think I’m going to re-buy this again. And I bet I not even be able to get by the first stage 😂
So perfect, my childhood
What memories I had 8 years up to 15 young What memories I had 8 years until I was 15 I played 🤣🤣🤣🤣😊
pro player
clasic game.
The EU hamburger version!
Master piece.
El mejor juego de la historia sin duda❤
This was called Alex the Kidd in miracle world.. my older brother had this when i was 8. 🤔 Mandela effect?
Sei il numero 1
So classic
Nostálgico.
It looks like a simple game for children - but isn't
I still thinking that the bosses fights with rock-paper-scissors are kinda lame. Still being a decent puzzle platformer anyway.
Scissors paper rock is awesome! I disagree with you
Janken was an excellent way to do it at the time.
❤

How do you still play it? I really want to buy it! I played when I was a kid and it was the only videogame I ever had
