at 11:15, won't there be oscillations again? Because the B flux seems to have two paths of least reluctance? Why wont motor rotate ACW?
Yes, both possible. But, the direction of initial motion decides the least reluctant path
@@techinsight1418 but once the motor has rotated and stopped at new position, how does it matter what was the initial direction?
To avoid this situation: Two consecutive rotor teeth cannot be equidistance from the following activated stator pole, which is never satisfied in case of 4 stator poles
