Am I the only one who thinks it’s extremely adorable that Nate gets up every morning just to make Kara coffee Without fail, whether they were on a six day canoe trip or spending three days on a deserted island still goes out of his way to do some thing that his wife cares about #CoupleGoals
Never forget, Riley was the guy who bought a sailboat with no clue about sailing and had to google "what to do when your boat is sinking" while he was actually taking on water. You learn to swim in water, not on land, sailing is the same and nobody was born a sailor.
what impresses me more than their sailing skills is the ability to make it work financially. Because these boats not only cost a similar amount of money as a house, but have a considerable upkeep cost on top of that (~10% of its value p.a.). So unless they are trust fund kids (probably they aren't), that's piles and piles of cash that have to come from somewhere...

I have to disagree. I miss the travel content: seeing the world, different cultures, architecture, food, exotic locations, flying, lounges. It's like they've converted this to an adventure sport channel: skiing, surfing, sailing, biking, running, walking. The quality and personalities are still great but I'm getting bored watching 1 activity for a whole video
There are many, many sailing VLOGS on youtube sailing many different types of boats. Everything from a family of five sailing on a couple million dollar yacht (Sailing Zatara) to a solo sailor sailing on a small (31 foot) boat with no motor (How To Sail Oceans). There's even a young couple sailing on a 50 year old boat that has been re-powered with an electric engine (Sailing Uma)The OGs of youtube sailing VLOGS are Sailing SV Delos, and they also have a child. In fact, there are a number of long time sailing VLOGers who have recently had children or are pregnant (Sailing Project Aticus, RAN Sailing, Sailing Soulianis). This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to sailing VLOGS. You will no doubt find a few who fit your style if you start looking.

Been watching La Vagabonde for years. Along with other sailors and travelers. Watched The Wynns dive right into it. You just went through a crash coarse with one of the best on TH-cam. You guys could seriously buy a bout, take lessons, get your Captains certs and sail around the world.
I hope it just seems like the other couple is being a little harsh maybe even almost bothered by you two and it wasn’t that way in real life. Maybe I’m projecting but I love you guys and you are so kind to everyone and most everyone you encounter is kind and helpful to you with your adventures, didn’t feel that from this couple. 😞

They have two babies on board and catch their own food a lot of the time. Having a crew member on board in the form of a nanny or deck hand means they can have another set of eyes on the boys and they can film, work, free dive and catch their food and not compromise safety :) they did it for 5 years without one but have recently needed a bit more help to manage the workload and allow them to do more cool stuff safely
I'm gonna have to go find their channel now. Wow that looked like alot of work!! So from what it seems...to do all those things to get the sailboat right..you cant just have one person?! Seems you definitely have to have 2..at least lol. I'm glad they have a Nanny to help with the babies cuz if anything crazy happened..it'd be pretty hard to control the boat and the babies. Also, I hope the Nanny got a dinner from the restaurant too! She deserved it too for all her hard work! I'm so impressed with this video..like in shock and awe right now. I knew sailing wasn't "easy" persay but didn't realize it was that much work! That's a nice boat too. Lots of space underneath! Sailing is definitely hard work but there are a lot of solo sailors sailing around the world as we speak. All of them sail on smaller, simpler boats though. This boat is quite large and complicated for a full time solo sailor. In fact, there are several solo sailing VLOGs on youtube,, including White Spot Pirates, Patrick Laine, and my favorite solo sailing VLOG, How To Sail Oceans. That guy sails on a boat with no motor, so definitely playing on hard mode.
If you watch there show it’s not really like how it sounds they have teams join them different people come and go and yes some women join them and do child care but also sail, dive , travel with them it’s feel very gap year type situation not as it sounds when you say full time nannies..
Take a shower... today, "Stinky van-lifers," that was priceless. What an amazing catamaran! There is so much space compared to the Sprinter, I love the space in the kitchen.

They always mention in their videos that they only shower a couple times a week. And I have always wondered if they actually smelled. Glad I have my answer to that question now

It’s so weird that they don’t like to shower, and that they don’t take the hint! They probably stink and don’t notice it! Laying in those peoples bed that let you on their boat, sweaty hot and stinky sweating up their mattresses. It’s so I’m considerate! Please shower.

As I live and breathe ! The episode I always wished for but never thought would see. My favorite vloggers for both land and sea finally have an episode together! I love it guys ! Keep up the great content guys!
No but why do they have a nanny? They love on a 40ft boat it’s not like they really need one 😅
They have two babies on board and catch their own food a lot of the time. Having a crew member on board in the form of a nanny or deck hand means they can have another set of eyes on the boys and they can film, work, free dive and catch their food and not compromise safety :) they did it for 5 years without one but have recently needed a bit more help to manage the workload and allow them to do more cool stuff safely
I'm gonna have to go find their channel now. Wow that looked like alot of work!! So from what it seems...to do all those things to get the sailboat right..you cant just have one person?! Seems you definitely have to have 2..at least lol. I'm glad they have a Nanny to help with the babies cuz if anything crazy happened..it'd be pretty hard to control the boat and the babies. Also, I hope the Nanny got a dinner from the restaurant too! She deserved it too for all her hard work! I'm so impressed with this video..like in shock and awe right now. I knew sailing wasn't "easy" persay but didn't realize it was that much work! That's a nice boat too. Lots of space underneath! Anyway, good job Kara and Nate and good job to Riley and Elayna for teaching you the swing of things! Thanks for sharing 💜💚
Sailing is definitely hard work but there are a lot of solo sailors sailing around the world as we speak. All of them sail on smaller, simpler boats though. This boat is quite large and complicated for a full time solo sailor. In fact, there are several solo sailing VLOGs on youtube,, including White Spot Pirates, Patrick Laine, and my favorite solo sailing VLOG, How To Sail Oceans. That guy sails on a boat with no motor, so definitely playing on hard mode.

If you watch there show it’s not really like how it sounds they have teams join them different people come and go and yes some women join them and do child care but also sail, dive , travel with them it’s feel very gap year type situation not as it sounds when you say full time nannies..

Take a shower... today, "Stinky van-lifers," that was priceless. What an amazing catamaran! There is so much space compared to the Sprinter, I love the space in the kitchen.
