Girl! I just have to say, "Thank you!". The fundamentals and techniques are priceless! Without them, I was just awash in confusion on most tutorials. You the Goddess!
Same here, isn't it great to live in a place where we can do that? I feel quite blessed and never take anything for granted, I have lived in a lot of places and where I am now is the best.
You guys are too funny. I love me some fall color here in Pure Michigan. ALL the fall things are here. Your comments about not having fall in Pacific Northwest gives me pause to be grateful.
Hooray! I've been looking forward to a fall leaf tutorial! I've been practicing leaves and herbs from your other tutorials and JUST. LOVE. THIS! I love how silly you and your husband are as you film. (haha) Thanks for teaching to just have FUN and to keep practicing. Thanks so much, Jenna! You're helping me get through lock down!
@@JennaRaineyChannel I have a tree 🌲 in the backyard, the leaves have turned a beautiful russet colour , raking them up and getting them into the compost is my mini workout I also love oak trees (we call them akker) there’s a little town this side called Potchestroom that has a road full of grand oaks and it’s beautiful to see the outstretched branches 🍁 and the dappled sunlight 😍 although sometimes you get hit on the head with an acorn 😂
I have loads of fall foliage pics taken here in the beautiful Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia! Thanks for inspiring us to paint the pretty fall leaves, Jenna!😊🧡🌿🍁🍂
Vermont can't be beat. My son and daughter live there so I can always go for a visit except for 2020. Now they just send me pictures of their hikes or drives 🚶♂️🚶♀️🚗🍁
Let's start a petition to add "junting" to Webster's! haha. Jenna, no one has more elegant and engaging hand gestures than you. That's a weird compliment I know.
Jenna, do you have a video where you explain how you manage your watercolours? By this I mean, how do you manage to keep each different colour in its original hue. It seems it would be tough to do since you're often picking up different ones with your brush. I've been trying to figure out a workflow around this, and given I'm new to painting, thought I should start by developing good habits :) thanks
Hey! I don't think i have a specific video on palette control, though I think I may need to do one soon. As you can tell from my videos, I am not too particular or picky with the colors I'm picking up (my wells are all over the place!), but that's just how I like it. I totally understand some people may want to keep things more clean, and you can totally do that. Even if you mix colors like I do, you can still take a paper towel and pick up some of the top layer of 'contaminated' pigment and you'll have your original color restored.
@@JennaRaineyChannel thanks, I'm certainly not that fussy myself, but it's something I was curious about and look forward to a video, if you decide to do one :)
Rose leaves can be tough! I don’t have specific rose leaf tutorial, but I do have a loose Rose tutorial and a realistic rose tutorial - and in both of those videos you can see a thorough step by step working of rose leaves. You can find those vids easily in my floral watercolor playlist on my channel! 👍🏻
Hi Jenna, for these leaves, I had to do wet-on-wet in order to get all of the colors in and then let them dry and go back in to add the veins. When I tried wet-on-dry, they were a mess cause I can’t paint as fast as you do😂
Hey Wendy! Ya, it definitely takes a lot of practice, muscle memory, and comfortability to work quick -- but it definitely pays off to be able to use wet on wet to your advantage. You'll get it, keep painting and having fun! Take care! ❤️
Hey! Thanks for the support! I do have a full playlist on leaves < th-cam.com/play/PLdb2U9SHuFlI93n_-F6-ZOKfl45nqGm7I.html > and another playlist that has come cacti, trees, and other landscape features < th-cam.com/play/PLdb2U9SHuFlIlEO4gCccJnm4dv2rifTik.html > Hope that helps!
What are your favorite fall spots to see the leaf change?! Let me know below!
The Forest near the trail
Along the Rio Grande....The Cottonwoods are gorgeous.
The south of the province Limburg in the Netherlands. It’s where I live and all the seasons are beautiful here 😍🥰❤️
My own back yard - we have two red maple trees that are GORGEOUS right now!
Driving through Michigan
