    1. noticed the toy soldier/nut cracker back there by the breaker box or what have you in your garage. Brought back memories of a nutcracker collection when younger and the need to have a collection of something so that people knew what to give as a gift. Just a weird thing growing up. Also, used to change the AC filter for my mom and aunt who used to reside in Turkey Creek Forest, Gainesville, Florida. Was always a task. Lol. Miss them. They passed away within nine-ish months of each other. My mom during the peak of the pandemic, July 2020, my aunt in April 2021. My dad passed as well, actually because of coronavirus December 2020. Tough year, but this experience put me in a 55+ mindset and all the stuff that goes along with getting older. Glad The Villages keeps people active and moving and so much more for those who can make the move there.

    Could add a surge breaker to your circuit breaker box, will protect everything connected to 120 or 220 power . Some states building codes now require surge breakers on all new homes.

    Dang … Rusty! I never knew “the outside of windows” had those little plastic weep vents. If you would never had showed this by scraping the caulking off … I would not have known to look for them to ensure they aren’t sealed closed.
    Thank You for the education!

    Rusty, I'm pretty sure those filters do come off the rotating spray heads. They do on mine. They take a bit of pressure to take them off, and they have little clips up toward the seal that you line up when you put them back on. Now that you replaced the head, you might want to try.

    • @RustyNelson
      @RustyNelson  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you are correct they do come off of a little pressure. Subscribe for new Videos: bit.ly/3aToJ3H

    My AC recently stopped working and the service guy came out. The unit was fine but the condensation line was stopped up and there is a sensor on the unit to prevent the unit coming on if it gets stopped up. What he said is to pour one cup of bleach down the tube to keep the mold or mildew from clogging the tube. What did your guy say about not using bleach? BTW, it was great meeting you the other day when you were shopping. It was either at BJ's or Sam's, I cant remember.

    Are these houses built with Carrier HVAC systems? That’s a much nicer system than typical builder grade here in VA.

    Great video, Rusty, thanks for the comprehensive instructions for these important chores! Can you tell me (maybe in a message if you don't want to broadcast) what editing software you use? I'm looking to put up a YT video on a completely non-TV related topic. Just basic, beginner friendly, and preferably free or low cost. Thanks! Oh, P.S., golf cart air filter check and cleaning is easy. Just pop those little clips off, remove the lid, then the filter. Spray it down liberally with some K&N red (rouge) air filter cleaner. Let dry and put back in. We can get into more detail another time but replacing the spark plug and greasing the clutch are pretty simple also - and I am not mechanically inclined one single bit!
