I was instantly captivated by the late Dolores O’Riordan’s dulcet vocals and reverb-washed layers that drove the song forward. Through a synesthetic convergence of sound and sight, the song would make me feel exhilarated, as though I were flying through clouds. This sonic dreamscape would create the proper conditions for imaginative reveries and contemplation. As I grew older, I came to understand that this sound could be categorized as Dream Pop/Shoegaze. I have just discovered this track, and it elicits the same exhilarating effect for me as “Dreams” by The Cranberries. Thank you for your work, Hatchie!

A few years ago a bunch of bands brought back a retro 80's sound, now a retro 90's trend may be starting...and before you know it, we will have a retro 2000's sound coming into fashion.
