@@WhimsicalNessa im actually glad that degrassi decided to do that. it was absolutely heartwrenching but it shows the sad truth of reality. most r4pe victims will never get justice in the real world, and that's just how it is. we see it happen with paige too. im sad that darcy never got justice but it would've been unrealistic if she did.
@@daydreams6956 yeah, you said it perfectly too. degrassi was just a tv show, but the writers were so good at being realistic when writing about real life issues that occur with so many people

mannn i didn't even know owen was one of the guys that threw adam out of the bathroom. Owen's homophobic/transphobic plotline was interesting especially him ending up having a gay brother and being supportive of him

I always figured he didn't know his brother was gay because Tristan was around 4 years younger than him. Owen started being a better and more excepting guy when Tristan came onto the show which I always read as the same time Tristan came out to his family. Atleast that's my head cannon.

These aren’t the saddest scenes tbh. For me there’s way more. Eli’s monologue during the play in season 11, Clare coming home to her parents and finally admitting the divorce is happening, Fiona relapsing and having a fallout during Holly J’s graduation

I think it is. her being in college and being sad
She's so lonely. She spent her whole life surrounded by people who love her, doing well at school, being popular. Then she loses all that and doesn't know how to cope. It's more sad in how realistic it is.
