I like seeing you use a less used faction like Armenia, would love to see you using more under used factions and demonstrating how they can be effective!
You are the one who got me into playing Total War. Your Macedon campaign to be exact. Glad to see the return to Rome 2, not many larger creators are willing to come back to this.
Rome 2 = like! Dan, the Getae player, did a really good job especially considering what he was up against. Getae has the problem of not have any javelins on their spear units (though their stats are very good for their cost in return). The Getae lack of javelins makes the Sol Invictus build a lot harder to deal with. Also, the Armenia build really makes me wish the nomads had infantry. There are a bunch of mods that don't even add new units to the game just give the steppe tribesmen, spears, archers, and young axes to the nomad factions in multiplayer and it makes them so much more interesting. None of those units are even good (archers are decent) but just the option of having a main line to either threaten if they focus your cavalry or as bait to draw the enemy in gives you so many more options. Great battle as always Sol Invictus and good video Heir. Also go ahead and branch out Heir I was enjoying your Darktide stream until my own buddies got on and we started playing Darktide but what I saw was enjoyable.
@@KadinoTheDumpling Not what I meant. Armenia is an eastern faction but if the Nomads had infantry, they could bring a build similar to what Sol Invictus brought and it would be very helpful for them. The Nomads have always relied on surrounding enemies and either picking them apart or isolating units and charging them from multiple directions. They cannot do what Armenia did in this battle, having a missile infantry line of dangerous but not too expensive units backed up by throwaway melee and spear infantry. Sol had eastern slingers fairly cheap, but you can't ignore them they have enough damage and ammo to lay down some serious hurt. The Nomads in campaign have steppe archers with terrible stats besides the fact that they are fairly cheap have 40 missile damage and 150 range. If you gave that infantry to the Nomads in multiplayer, they could do a very similar build to the Armenian one but with steppe archers instead of eastern slingers and young axes instead of hillmen. Thats all I meant, after all these years the units are in the game, but you can't use them in multiplayer, and they could really use them.
Thank you so much for all the fresh Rome 2 content Heir! All I play is Rome 2 and my discord server with buddies and we have a blast - especially in 2 vs 2.
this is why I love land battle more than siege battle, you get to see all unit types in action. A lot of people in Rome 2 play siege battle, which is kinda boring imo because it's just infantries vs infantries battle.
A lot of the random siege battles you see are hosted by someone defending as Rome, who gets upset and ragequits when you bring artillery. Or the funds will be set so high it destroys the game balance. Land battles are the way to go.
Rome II Getae campaign would be awesome. Very tough start with all the warring barbarians, and Macedon to the south. Couse be fun to see the falxman chopping through roman legions!
I always loved the balancing of rome 2, theres the mid tier sword meta but I always felt like I could a sword faction with the Greeks or horse faction if I brought the right tools and played well. Theres also a lot of variability in units for a historical title but each faction still feels viable imo.
So I'm getting into rome 2 and can't decide what faction I want to start with I don't want to play rome tho too generic. And I keep losing battles all the time not too sure what I'm doing so wrong. Plz help with what faction I should start with and then any tips with battles. Thx
Idk if you know me heir, but thanks for the video! Been getting into Rome 2 again, but I never played MP a whole lot. Are there still tournaments going on?
wasnt the most fun match to watch but thats always how it is with ranged armies its more about the patience but ngl i prefer ranged armies vs ranged armies sometimes i feel like the ranged armies can be op vs certain factions
observation archer vs no shield battle infantry first and bring all cav together when everithing in battle flank rear charge beat legendary difficult ez
feliz dia de la reconquista de roma Eastern Roman General Belsavius?? 60 years after the ostergoths sacked it.. when roma fell it went from over 1mils to a damaged place hardly fit for 100k the nation did not reunify until wut garaboldi and went bqack to regional languages no a common one ;3
Armenian millitary forces commited genocides in the town of Khojaly with the population of 7 thousand people on februrary 26 1992. There were 3 thousand people in the town at the time of Armenian millitary forces' attack. As most part of the population had to leave town during 4 months blockade. 613 people were killed, 1000 peaceful people of different age became invalid during Khojaly genocide. 106 women, 63 children, 70 old men were killed. 8 families were completely annihilated, 130 children lost one parents, while 25 both of them. 1275 peace residents were taken hostages, the fate of 150 of them is still unknown.
Thanks for the cast Heir! Super happy Rome 2 is getting attention once again
well played man, to see both cinematic and tactical view of the battle was a very good thing
Thanks for sending these awesome replays!
Great stuff. Always nice to see some of the more interesting Rome 2 factions. Glad I don't have to play against you. Lol
😅

Armenia isn’t a nomad faction but RS or smth would defo be fit from that

Another nice victory from Sol Invictus. Thanks Heir :)

Glorious return to Rome 2!
Yes that’s my play style!
Thanks for the cast
Really liking these Rome 2 quick battles, excellent commentary.
Glad to see you back in R2 Heir!
Ay Armenia! Love that faction its cavalry is really good, as well as Parthia
Great skirmishing and micro

The reason is land battles often come down to a micro contest whereas siege battles are more protracted and strategic.

Gotta love the map variety we had in Rome 2. Lol.
I think nemetocenna and like 2 other maps were used in most of our 2013-2014 tournaments.
good game sol, these horse archers are really dangerous for Getae. By the way, how can I send reps to you?
On the Discord I think

Yeah i saw that amount of horse archies and lmmediately knew how it would go xD

Suebi will teach you the most about game mechanics. Boii and Greta as well
For Greeks athen and epirus
Don't be afraid to pause or slow down the game if you are having trouble winning in campaign
If I didn't want to start with Rome in Rome 2, I'd start off with Macedon or the Arverni.
@@peasantmob5394 🤣
You dropped the "crap" :0
I use standard shots always, never really experienced with the heavy shots due to the lower rate of fire if I am not mistaking...
can anyone tel me hao to play multiplayer battles? in rome 2 multiplayer menu isnt showing me anythig............pls help
Idk if you know me heir, but thanks for the video! Been getting into Rome 2 again, but I never played MP a whole lot. Are there still tournaments going on?
Thank you for the video!
Pijama axenan! Pijama sxeman! Pijama axeman!
Major soft spot for Armenia. Quite a fun underrated campaign too
Absolutely! Ever since Rome 2, I notice Armenia and love playing them in e.g. CK3.
awesome

Why do people always play on the grassy barflands of Nemetocenna smh?
People get very upset when there is any kind of terrain on their TW battlefields apparently.
Nice

i am a Getae living in Dacia 😁
